A double-sided printer is a printer that’s able to print on both sides of a single sheet of paper. There are a couple of benefits to having a double-sided printer. First, you’re able to conserve paper and reduce your total number of pages used by half. This will not only save you money, it’s also good for the environment. Second, you’ll be able to print any report-style document that warrants print on both sides of the page.
HP® is proud to offer both inkjet printers and laser printers that are capable of double-sided printing. Inkjet printers have some very distinguishable differences from laser printers.
Inkjet printers use ink cartridges to create your photos and documents. The ink is dropped onto the paper through tiny nozzles as it rolls through the printer, which means it’s able to produce a dazzling array of colors and detail. You might prefer an inkjet printer if you need to print professional-quality color documents or photos.
Laser printers use toner cartridges to create your documents. Toner is a grain-like ink substance that can be applied to your paper much more quickly than ink can. Since the printing process is faster, laser printers are ideal if you want to print a large volume of documents. Laser printers are known for very precise line placement so they’re great for charts, graphs, and diagrams. Toner cartridges can yield a higher number of pages than ink cartridges, too.
In the past, laser printers were known for only being able to print in black and white. HP®, however, produces a variety of color laser printers that can create high-quality color images at very fast speeds.
Need a 2-sided printer for your home? Check out one of our HP ENVY printers. Our HP ENVY printers use ink cartridges and can print in color or black and white. Most of our HP ENVY models are compact enough to fit comfortably in your home, and they’re also capable of doing wireless printing. You’ll also be able to find compact laser printers that are perfect for your home office, just in case you need a printer that can handle high volumes.
Use the Home and home office filter to browse double-sided printers that are optimized for home use. Some printers are designated by the FCC for use in businesses only, so make sure you double-check the emission status before you purchase for your home office.
A good printer is integral to the efficiency and productivity of your business. Make sure you have a printer that’s fast, economical, and easy-to-use. An HP printer is exactly that.
Select the Small-medium business or Enterprise filter to find printers that are optimized for business use. You might prefer one of our HP OfficeJet printers if you plan to print color documents, like letterhead and marketing materials. Our HP OfficeJet printers are inkjet printers that can also scan and make copies of documents, which enables you to cut down on the number of devices in your office.
If you need to print a high volume of documents or if you have lots of employees with printing needs, you might prefer a laser printer in your office. Our HP laser printers come in a variety of sizes, so you can find one that’s perfect for the number of employees you have or pages that you routinely print. Some of our laser printers are able to create color documents, and some can also scan, copy, and fax.
An All-in-One printer is a double-sided printer-scanner that’s able to print, scan, copy, and - on some models - fax. There are numerous benefits to having an All-in-One printer in your work or home office. First, you’ll be able to reduce the total amount of devices in your home or office, which will save you money and free your workspace of clutter. Second, most of our All-in-One printers have tools that enable you to manage printer supplies, network configurations, and wireless printing. Third, our All-in-One printers are capable of doing double-sided printing.
We produce All-in-One inkjet printers and All-in-One laser printers, so you’ll be able to have an All-in-One that’s ready to handle whatever print volume or print type that you do.
Whether or not you can print double-sided on other print mediums depends on the type of printer you have. Many printers can only do 2-sided printing on standard printer paper and photo paper. Check out the tech specs of each printer before you make your purchase.
HP Instant Ink is our straight-to-your-door ink subscription service that’s compatible with select HP printers. Here’s how it works. Compatible printers will automatically gauge your ink supply levels and detect when you’re running low on an ink cartridge. When you are, it’ll automatically send a request to HP® and we’ll send a new ink cartridge to your home or office.
HP Instant Ink is a great way to ensure that your printing activities will never come to a halt because you’ve run out of ink. Cut down on trips to the office supply store and save money by only paying for ink cartridges when you need them. Don’t let a surplus supply of ink cartridges dry up in your storage cabinets. Furthermore, HP Instant Ink gives you several price plans to choose from depending on how many pages you print per month, and there are no contracts so you can switch plans if your printing needs change.
You’ll be helping the environment when you print double-sided documents because you’ll cut down on the amount of paper you’re using. But there are other ways you can help reduce your ecological footprint. When you buy HP ink and toner cartridges, you can easily recycle them through HP Planet Partners. We manufacture over 80% of our cartridges using recycled materials.
We make it easy and convenient to recycle with us. You can either take your used cartridge to a select office supply store in your area, or you can print postage-paid shipping materials online and arrange for us to pick up your supplies. Both methods are totally free to you. Help us reach our goal of recycling 25 million tons of hardware by 2025. You make a significant impact on our planet just through buying HP products.
