Garbage HP Printer and HP comapany
Title says it all. Can' believe the crap they pull, making you register you Printer in order to print. I registered in the beginning but cancelled it because it is a waste of cartridges and unused ink. Even after buying ink from Best Buy, I could not print because the printer was registered. I hate HP, anyone who thought creating a subscription to print needs to be taken out to the field and be given the good "Office Space"

Difficult to set up printer to home network
After setting up the printer to communicate with my laptop an home network I can print. However I can't scan from that same printer. It asks to set up software again, but when I follow the set up instructions it states, "printer not found". It's the year 2022; Set up should just be simple, not taking 3 hours and still result in a product that doesn't work.

Failed unexpectedly
I trusted and relied on HP printers for over 25 years. I bought two HP4200 printers about 20 years ago that are still working like champ. But the Envy 7640 failed completely not even turn on after giving numerous error messages after 6 years of occasional use. HP Doctor could not diagnosed exact cause of issues and internet search could not clearly identify the cause of problem.

Hours of wasted time!
This printer is wonderful when it works. I have spent what feels like half of my lifetime uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers for this printer. At least once a week the printer is no longer able to print or scan. I have the latest Win 10 drivers installed. I use the print-scan doctor app to try to fix it to no avail. I have contacted HP repeatedly. NEVER BUY THIS PRINTER!!!!!!!

Has the features, but unreliable
In general it is an OK printer. It has exactly the features I want and I was very excited to receive it as a gift. However it rarely works the way it should. The wireless connectivity almost never works, so I still have to connect with a cable. The scan from tray feature works about 50% of the time. I can always get it to work, it just may need to be re-started 2-3 times. Outside the major annoyances, it does print well.

Okay for regular office tasks but not photos
I bought this printer as a replacement for my HP Photosmart printer. I have always used HP printers for printing photos so even though this wasn't specifically for printing photos, I was assured by the HP tech people that this printer would do just as good of a job printing photos as the Photosmart printer were. Boy were they wrong!!! I am so disappointed with the print quality on the photos that I have printed that I don't even print photos anymore. I am really bummed out that I am stuck with this printer now until it dies.....which I am sure will be a long time since I don't like it. HP needs to stop doing the "all in one" thing and make a printer that is good at photos or I will have to find a different brand.

HP Envy 7640
This printer has been trouble since the day I bought it, I wish I had simply taken it back before the warranty expired. I have only been using it for scanning and emailing documents. It works "occasionally" even though everything is setup correctly. When I can get it to work it generally wont feed all the pages from the autofeeder.
This is a rubbish product and I would never buy HP again.

Easy to set up, nice features working well
HP has really made a nice effort to make sure that their current products setup and install easily. I managed to set this printer up to the wireless network (my first time ever!!!) by following the onscreen guidance. Also managed to set up the subscription for the automatic ink refills. Everything is working VERY NICELY so far. Keep up the good work - HP! Way to go!

Cartridges not included
Have had this product for a few days now and well can't really give an indepth review because it did not come with the ink cartridges that were supposed to be included, i've been back and forth with HP who keeps telling me that the order for the cartridges is in.. I mean how long does it take for them to send two lousy cartridges and not to be mention i just found out this product is $25 cheaper on amazon..Not pleased with HP right now.

Good printer...when it works.
This is a great printer for the price. But more often than not the printer is constantly getting jammed or not working properly. The connection to the internet is on and off and printing photos has poor quality. I usually like HP printers but this printer just is not reliable at all.

As good as Hps Photosmart Printer
has even more features than the HP Photosmart printer. This gem has a lever that pops put to catch printed papers n a Usb n card reader on the left side. The only con is sometimes when i send somerhing to print, my compter screen has its printing but notjing is coming out of the printer. A full manual did not come with this printer so I have nothing to reference what the problem is. It seems like the printer went to sleep n the only way I figured to wake it up is to shut it off n then turn it back on, a bit annoying, but it's nowhere near the problems I had with the HP Officejjet 3830!

Only the best for this girl!
I have been an HP user for many, many years and they only get better every time I upgrade. I loved my old printer but this one (OF COURSE) is even better. I think the photos are out of this world. I had stopped printing them because the quality was not that great. Now with the new ink program I can afford to start again.

HORRIBLE!!!!
this printer was a replacement for another HP printer that had quit working. It's awful! There is not low ink warning....just awful lines and half-words! It will not print wirelessly unless I go to the printer, open the paper drawer and then shut it firmly! The screen on my computer says "paper tray empty"(it isn't) and/or printer offline! I'm so frustrated and after purchasing HP printers for many years I am moving to another brand!

Printer works great once it is installed and I learned how to use it. I wish Hp included instructions on scanning, saving to computer, and general uses. I have to go to HP techies for instructions.

Amazing technology
I have had this all in one for about two weeks and feel that I made a good choice. I have already used it to prepare a newsletter for a club to which I belong. I have copied, scanned and printed. My only complaint is that I wish the set up could be simpler. It would have been nice to just turn it on, have it find the computers on the network, and do the necessary magic to connect to them

Not a good choice
This is not a good printer. I've regretted it since I bought it. Rarely communicates well with our devices. Will not load photo paper reliably. Overrides computer settings for it's own settings so that printing a simple 4x6 photo takes multiple tries and tons of wasted paper and ink. Non-intuitive. A huge step backwards.

Started off great the first few months. Not even a year in, the printing started messing up. It goes ridiculously slow and sometimes printing just cancels in the middle of a job. I called HP and they said it would be $99 just to talk to them. I haven't even had this thing for a year! It works a bit better if I turn off my internet and hook directly to the wifi on the printer. But thats a hassle. Ill be getting a new one thats not HP. Way to many wasted papers and ink on this thing.

Quality & Reliability Matter
My Envy 7640 Printer is pure delight.
Back in 2000, I purchased my first HP G85 Printer. I loved its multifunction. A year later, I lost it due to home burglary. I immediately replaced it. For 16 years it gave me great service. Last month I purchase new computer. Since HP disconnected model and original software disc misplaced, Windows PnP software auto-installed. Kept getting Port Mismatch error. Something about old USB could not connect to USB 3.0 connection.
As you know, the market is fully of cheap printers. I’d rather pay a bit more for quality and reliability. After reading many reviews and ratings, I decided to stay with a company that has produced thousands of printers over many, many years.
I am still suffering from G85 withdraw, but love going wireless at last. Setup was easy and simple. Print quality is great. LOVE ePrint function and HP Smart Utility. Enrolled in Instant Ink Program. I think it will be a real cost-saver. I know nothing lasts forever, but if I get the next 5 years I’ll be extremely satisfied.

The best of everything!!!
This is simply the best all-in-one I've ever owned. The thing set itself up. Super easy in every aspect. With adding $2.99/ month for unlimited ink( not just a subscription, but the printer tells HP when you're running low and Bam! New ink cartridges show up at your door) you do nothing except never run out of ink. This printer does it all, double sided printing, photo printing , double sided scanning, print from any device from anywhere at anytime with zero hassle. I know im missing features, but you can't go wrong with this one.. Thank you HP....awesome product

Do not buy this junk
Had for two years and suffered with it. Have to frequently reboot in order to get a print. Copy has never worked consistently. The paper feed daily gives error messages so I have to reboot over and over to get one page at a time to print. The paper feed is not designed to function properly as the guide bars are useless. The scanner has been OK. I have to go find a reliable printer to purchase -- not HP!

BEST/EASIEST SET-UP EVER!
Plugged it in, followed the instructions, and it found our home WiFi, and was ready to go! Half an hour later, I got a doc on my iPhone, pushed the print button, walked into my home office and the doc was there in the tray! This is where wireless should have been 10 years ago!

This printer is the best
This is by far the best printer I've ever owned. It was super easy to install and operates just as promised. Hopefully it's economical to own, just haven't printed enough to know how long the ink will last. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a home printer.
