Less than I expected by A LOT - SORRY I BOUGHT IT
VERY DISAPPOINTED. I replaced my 6-year-old 8710 InkJet with a new HP Smart Tank 7602. The 8710 worked well except that it stopped being able to print business card paper. Otherwise, it worked really well, and I should have kept it. I was convinced by an HP sales representative that the 7602 would be an excellent replacement, and save me a LOT of money on ink. Problems: (1) I immediately encountered my first problem when I tried installing the drivers. I have never had any trouble installing drivers in the past. I followed the miserably poor directions provided with the 7602 for two days before I gave up and called HP for help. The technician said it would be no problem, and that he'd have the drivers installed in 10 minutes. Even he had a problem with it, and went around in circles for 45 minutes before he could get the drivers installed. (2) It takes more than twice as long to print each page with the 7602 than with the 8710. I'm wasting time waiting for pages to print, and I print a lot. (3) The all-black and scanned documents print faded, even if I use the normal setting. (4) The 8710 would shut off when I shut off my PC, and come back on when I started to print. The 7602 never shuts off. If I want to conserve electricity I have to remember to shut it off every day that I use it. Then I have to remember to turn it back on before I can print. (5) I had a simple icon on my desktop I could use to open the printer for scanning. I no longer have that, and it takes longer for me to open the printer from my PC to scan. (6) The 7602 doesn't scan double-sided pages.If it does, it isn't easy to figure out how and I'm going to have to jump through hoops to figure it out. The 8710 was simple - put them in the document feeder, then click scan. (7) I tried scanning from the 7602 to a file on my PC, and I have to do additional jumping through hoops to figure out how to set that up. (8) NOTHING on this printer is intuitive or simple. Every single thing I try to do with it requires another long and frustrating exercise in searching for information or calling HP to get it done. Truthfully, I am VERY SORRY that I gave up my reliable 8710 and bought this terrible machine. The 8710 was still very functional after six full years. I'll bet the 7602 stops functioning within two years. I have been a loyal HP fan since 2002. Sadly, after 23 years my recent experiences with HP are making me reconsider.

Compact footprint Huge Impact
Smart tank is what I have needed. Past printers have one cartridge with three colors and when one runs out the other colors are useless. I hate wasteful tools and HP figured that out with double sided print, bluetooth print capability, large capacity paper tray and quite operation make this the center of my office! :)

HP Smart Tank 7602 All-In-One
This is the "Best" printer I have ever purchased. My previous choice in printers from HP caused problems with paper jams double and triple feeding of paper waste of ink and a big waste in paper. Since I started printing with this HP Smart Tank 7602 All-In-One, I have not had one single paper jam it has never double or triple fed paper and it has never failed me in responding to print commands from any device I have in my home iPhone, iPad etc. This is a printer that in my opinion HP gets a rating of A+++.

Great printer with low copy cost per page
This replaced a HP 9520. The 7602 was very easy to set-up mechanically, software and internet. Compared to 9520 the 7602 is slower, has only 1 paper feed tray and always on user screen. In fact this is the one feature that I miss. Yes the menu does show up when touch surface, but I have to swipe right several times to make a copy. The print quality is excellent. And of course, the ink cost per page is dramatically lower. This was the main reason for choosing the 7602. Overall satisfied with purchase

Why does everything suck
I hate this thing. Its the second printer ive bought in the last 2 months. I started with epson because of reviews, and i hated that, so thenI went with HP because it was the same brand as my original from 5 years ago that I liked. Well this smart tank sucks. I get error messages ALL the time. I've watched videos and even had a tech guy come in and he couldn't figure it out either. Why do products suck now? Its like the older something is, the more reliable. Stuff made now is horrible.

Thr newer printers get the more complicated they become. The ink tank is an excellent idea since the cartridges have become more expensive. The setup of the HP Smart Tank is more complicated to set up when you do not have a land-line telephone number for the fax capability. Thank goodness I have HP Smart Friend service.

Good but still testing
This printer is much quicker than the one it replaced. Colors are good for printing, but I haven’t tried phots yet. The build quality is good. It is a bit pricy to get for the whole package, and we will see how long the ink lasts.

Excellent printer!
Easy to set up. It is ideal for our home uses. It also has a small footprint allowing it to fit almost any where. It blended in with our home network as if it was made for it...well, I suppose it was. We are really impressed with the ink supply. Long term is certainly great. Customer service is great! The few times I needed them, the reps were knowledgeable and eager to help. In the future, I will not go with any other printer.

Bright Light
This is a good printer and does everything as advertised. I have it a 4 instead of a five because of two issues. The first is minor. The touch screen is very diminutive as compared to other HP offerings. The second is a major deal for me. There is a light in the front that is very bright and cannot be adjusted. My printer is close to our bedroom and I had to put a 6” piece of electrical tape to co er this large light. I am not exaggerating as to the brightness. One can read a book several feet away from it.

Good for what we use it for
The best part is not having to swap out the sometimes messy cartridges that never last as long as you hope. The Smart tanks are easy to fill and refill with a lot less mess and effort. Love my new printer
I recently upgraded my old printer that I've had for over 4 years now to the HP SmartTank 7602. The upgrade is definitely a huge improvements and I am very pleased with my purchase. I love the way the ink reloads. Now I don't have to worry about my ink block drying out anymore plus the cost to replace the ink is much lower. All I have to do now is push down a bottle and it will refill itself, I love the convenience. I also test printed some pictures using this printer and the clarity is amazing.

HP Smart Tank 7602 - My experience
I’ve been very excited to review this printer. It was easy to set up, I’m so happy to have a printer that I can refill the ink myself with bottles instead of expensive ink cartridges. I checked the pricing of bottles when that time comes, and it is far more affordable than the cartridges. I like the fact that the printer is quiet, and 2 side printing is an option. I print a lot of order forms and planograms for work. The print quality is great, and the colors are vibrant. I haven’t fully explored all the features but am happy to have them available to me when I do need them. I also liked that this printer wasn't too large and could fit it in to my small working space.

Great printer for junk journaling
Wow! I’m so impressed with the HP Smart Tank 7602. It’s easy to set up, only taking me 12 minutes from start to print! The colors are rich and crisp. I am a junk journal artist and I’m telling you this is the best printer I’ve ever used for my hobby. It prints stickers and lighter card stock very well. The levels of color are easy to see so I know when I need to restock. I’ve used it for two weeks and it seems like hardly any color has been used, but I’ve printed a lot!

Awesome printing power
The HP Smart Tank 7602 has awesome printing power. It provides you with quick printing and is accurate when it comes to colors on the page compared to the original document you're printing. It was super easy to set up. I used the QR code and scanned it with my phone then just followed the on screen steps. This connected the printer to an app it had me download on my phone for further installation and use. Super simple and straightforward. I was able to install the ink and printheads all myself with no issues. It then has you print a test page so it can verify the printers alignment after you scan the page you printed. Everything is very easy to do. Printing is simple and can be done wirelessly from your phone/computer once you have the software installed. You can also scan/copy from the printer itself via the touch bar options on top of the printer at the front. One thing to note is you have to really look closely to know which corner to put your paper in on the scannerbed as it's kind of faint. It is the top left corner as referenced in one of my photos. It was so easy to set up and I've been using it for awhile now with no issues at all from my phone and my home laptop. Great print quality and it's fast.

One Smart Versatile Printer!
The HP Smart Tank 7602 printer simply does the job! Set up is a breeze, the companion HP Smart app adds a ton of functionality, and the print quality is great! I opted not to fill the tanks all the way using the included ink bottles mainly because I print only a few times a week and I wanted the ink to store better. So far the levels haven't moved much at all...it'll last quite a while!
The Pros:
-The printer looks awesome! The glowing light in the front gives it a futuristic look and the coloring and size make it seem like much more than a clunky old printer. Mine fits in well...even in the dining room!
- Set up was easy after downloading the HP Smart app and installing the HP print driver on my phone. My computer quickly found the printer and correct driver after going through the intuitive set up instructions on the touch screen of the printer and app. It even prints and then scans the print for alignment, so easy!
- The app includes access to advanced features via the IP address and web GUI of the printer if you're into more customizable features and you know what you're doing. Easy to set a static IP this way for fast setup with other devices.
- The printer comes with interchangeable print heads. Thank you! My previous printer with similar fillable containers started failing to print over time after the print heads got clogged. Completely useless after a few years. I'm happy to know I can replace the head if needed with this printer!
Cons:
-QR code didn't work with my camera for set up. Had to manually find the HP Smart app for download and setup.
-The light in the front doesn't turn off, even when sleeping. Probably a feature somewhere to turn if off but I haven't dug in that deep. I figured it would automatically turn off when sleeping but that's not the case. Makes for a good nightlight though!
-You have to manually pull out the paper holder tray when printing so the paper doesn't fall to the ground.
So far this printer has proven itself a contender as a long-term reliable printer that is made very versatile when using the HP Smart app! I definitely recommend this printer for everyday use and saving on ink!

Great upgrade
My old printer was over 15 years old, and was a good one, I wanted to get one that didn't use cartridges, since I hated throwing them out or taking them to a recycling center and felt it was a waste. When I received this, printer I was impressed with the design, having a multi-page paper feed for the copy and scanner features. I went to the 123.hp website on my laptop and installed HP smart, it set up quick and once I selected my printer it walked me through all the steps to set it up with really nice photos so you didn't make any mistakes. I would say it took me 10 minutes total to download and setup my printer.
So far every print job, copy and scan have been what I expected from HP and very happy I bought this printer.
I highly recommend it, and if you want to save buying cartridge's, this is an excellent option, especially since you can see the ink levels on the front of the printer, no guessing or going into the software to see the levels. The light lets you know about your WIFI connection and it fits on a small file cabinet just right.

All I need for a small office
I am an interpreter student preparing for a state oral test. As a student, we have a huge amount of material to study and I prefer to have physical copies to make annotations, etc. This printer is super fast, quiet… I was worried about the ink since there is a reservoir for each color and I'm so used to the cartridges that I was worried about smudged all over my paper but it is such a clean print! The scanner feature is awesome since you can scan many pages and don't have to do them one by one. But I think this is my favorite feature, 2 years of ink is included with the printer. I love it. It is a great printer, I highly recommend it

This HP Smart Tank 7602 is amazing. I've never had a printer as good as this before. The quality of printing is fantastic. We've done photos, stickers, greeting cards, printed toys for our kids (ex. play food). The possibilities are endless. It also prints quickly so if you need a larger batch of something such as photos, you're not waiting forever. We have not had a chance to use the other features as much yet, but copier and scanner are also great when we tried them out. It was very easy to set up, and I haven't had any problems with connectivity so far. Overall, very very happy with how this printer is working.

Smart Tank 7602 is great for a business
I will start to say say that the Smart Tank 7602 is great for business. The ease of filling the ink is awesome. One great feature is the ability to only fill the ink that is needed and not have to purchase and refill all of them.
With this being an "all in one" machine you are able to complete all the tasks that a small business generally needs. I have been able to scan to all 5 of the computers in my network and also am able to print from them. The ease of this machine is great.
With the efficiency of the ink usage and the way it is filled this allows a cost savings when looking into printers.

Upgrading Printer after 14 years!
When I started college, I purchased a budget friendly printer. That HP printer lasted me 14+ years and I decided now seemed like a good time to finally upgrade. This HP Smart Tank 7602 is the perfect solution. I love that HP got the smart tanks. I have been waiting until HP got that technology and they finally have it, and this printer doesn't seem to disappoint. Obviously, printers haven't had a ton of innovation since my printer from 14 years ago, but this was a worthy upgrade for sure! I can't believe the quality of the prints compared to my old printer. I love the modern esthetics. I'm very pleased with this printer and hopefully it lasts just as long as my last trusty HP printer.

Great printer, quality print, fast; weak input touch system
Print quality is excellent and ink much less expensive than cartridges. Easy to install ink. Print heads not quite as easy, but not difficult.
Installation very poor, poor instructions and difficult to get needed info. I had to call HP support because I could not get it work. Turns out it abandoned the installation half-way through and was too stupid to identify the problem, even when I restarted from scratch. The touch pad was insufficiently sensitive and making it appear that my input was rejected. While on the phone with support, I found using my fingernail instead of pad of finger was necessary to get it to accept the input. Once past this problem, it finally came up and works well.

The printer came in 3 days and in excellent condition. This is the first printer we have gotten that uses the bottled ink. The bottle system is easy to use, and the ink is not messy. Well-designed fast system that prints without smearing. Great for home office or small business.

Smart Tank 7602: Can the Fax feature receive/answer automatically?
Hello. Thanks for your question. Yes. The HP Smart Tank 7602 printer does require a landline connection for fax functionality. It needs to be connected to a working phone line to send and receive faxes properly.
However, if you don’t have a landline, you can use HP Mobile Fax through the HP Smart app to send faxes. If you want to send and receive faxes, you can use a service like eFax.

Typically lasers are required for law offices due to the fact that the documents are printed with dry toner and not ink so smudging is less likely.
