Tank style printer rocks!
So far so good. Had it two weeks and it is printing sharp and distinct print quality.
Fast and quiet compared to my 10 year old printer. Ink levels show on front of printer for easy viewing. Buttons for printing and scanning on top front. Scanner works well and HP Smart App is super easy to use. Prints from all my devices remotely. Highly recommend HP products.

This actually printed one time. It is in error state. It was out of warranty before it was connected. It is a needless expense and has taken time (4 hours on- line with H/P.) There apparently was no warranty as H/P claimed it was "out of warranty.") I burned the box it came in I had always trusted H/P and saw no need to keep it. I am so disappointed in this product. Such a waste of time and money and yet I have no printer that works. I am not able at this time to buy another printer. It will have to wait for another S.S. check. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Superb Printers
The payer bought this printer for his daughter as a gift. I purchased a 6000 series printer
and loved it. This has to be the most superb printers on the market, what an ink saver plus the cost was outstanding and both printers were a breeze to set up. Great job HP as always. Thanks a million.

First Unit Was Defective
The printer seems to work pretty well, but getting to that point was an ordeal. First, HP sent me a "new" Smart Tank 7001 that didn't work at all. After three hours on the phone with tech support, we determined that it wasn't new at all; it had been returned under warranty as defective, and somebody repackaged it as new without fixing it, and sent it to me. Processing the return/replacement took another hour on the phone with HP. After the second unit arrived and got set up, I'm happy enough with it, but HP really ought to be able to do better by their customers.

Works good so far
So far the printer works great for what i’ve done so far. I did have some problems connecting my ipad to it for printing but after calling support I found out that the WiFi range is very limited. Once I moved to the same room the printer was in it worked fine. Still haven’t figured out how to print photos or envelopes, but it’s supposed to do it so I’ll figure it out.

Frustrating!
I bought this an hp smart tank 7001 a few months ago. I have found it very frustrating. It frequently stops working and I have to unplug it and plug back in to get it started again. There are lots of crazy icons that pop up but no where in the manual or on line does it explain what the icons mean or what to do when they show up and the icons are are hard to see because it doesn't light up enough. Also the manual does not tell what replacement ink to buy. A more complete manual would be very helpful or at least some better on-line information. When it is working it prints well and I can usually get it started if I unplug it and restart it.

What I feared when chose to stick with HP after past tech experiences.
Purchased 3 weeks ago. Now every day every light it has flashes, computer can't find it, it's frozen. Won't even turn off. When you unplug it and force it off it won't come back on. After hours of waiting it will finally turn on again and print fine - until the next day when it does it again. Can't get any help with tech. Worthless to me at this point. I put email on my chat asking someone to contact me or answer my actual issue. Nothing. I gave it a 2 because it does print beautifully but the ink levels are not going to be what they say, the paper tray is a fight and nothing to keep the paper pushed forward and as it shakes half way through a project it's pulling paper late then 2-3 sheets at a time. Someone just please tell me why the lights go spastic every day.

To be honest I did not try the printer. It most likely worked just fine. My reason for returning it was that it did not have an automatic document feeder. It surprises me that all printers don't have this as rarely what I ever have just one page to copy, by scanning on the glass. Usually there is more than one page double-sided. Imagining scanning each of those by hand would take some time. That is my only con to this printer as I did not take it out and try it

The printer that arrived was brfoek out of the box, as was confirmned through lots of tech support. Was told that my options were to return and then wait for all of the processing and stuff to get a replacement- likely weeks away; or pay for another and then wait for my first to be refunded. The thing also felt very cheaply made and flimsy, so I just returned it for a refund.

I've been buying HP printers al my life. Try just are a reliable printer that is there when I need it but has minimal maintenance. Their prices are always reasonable. I love the giant tank ink cartages that should last for a long time. I would recommend this to a friend.

bought this hp smart tank 7001 printer 2 days ago worked great for 1 1/2 days got rid of the box cause it worked great by the end of the second day it quit working i called the support number that hp offers they were willing to help me if i signed up for a yearly service contract at 79.99 a year i told them i just bought it 2 days earlier from best buy and would take it back if i didnt get rid of the box have a buddy coming over tomorrow he is going to try and reset to factory defaults hopefully that will fix it kinda sad no support from hp and all my computers and everthing i buy for my business is hp i wont do it again

Advertised OS compatibility
Just got the printer up and running on a new Windows 10 Lenovo. Having to upgrade/replace my computer (Windows 7) was a surprise however because your promotional specs indicate the 7300 is compatible with Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10.
I'm happy with the system but you need to update your literature to indicate you no longer support any OS but 10 and higher.

Little Work Horse
I love HP products because as a rule they are very reliable. This printer was a bit of a disappointment, not mechanically, works great. I am thinking about purchasing a backup paper tray because I know at some point this one will break. For the price I would think the paper tray would have been a bit sturdier. Printer runs smoothly and gives great color and black and white copies. Setup instructions were easy to follow and get everything up and running. Overall I am happy with my purchase and if I had to knowing what I know I would still purchase this printer, worth the money.

Easy to Set Up; Easier to Use
The printer is definitely one of those "so far, very good" products! It was easy to set up and connect to all of the devices on my home network. I'm eager to see how the print technology holds up and compares to the ink jet printers that I have used for so many years. It IS a bit pricey of a printer, but I was able to purchase it using some discounts that I'd accrued and were available to me.

Great for an expensive paper weight.
Wish I'd never bought this thing. Worked fine for a few months then it decided to stop connecting to my network. Had to reset it and readd back to the app. Worked for a few more weeks and lost its connections again. HP Dumb app finds it, starts the set up and hangs. Tried on 3 computers, 2 phones, and a tablet. Now I've got a printer that if I'm not hard wired to it, it won't work. Factory reset per instructions and it just won't connect. Even tried a second router and 2.4 and 5.0 ghz.

No more Rocking!
The printer arrived well-packaged and once out of the box, easy to set up. I like that the ink tank capacity can be seen on the front of the printer unit, but I don't like that I can't see how much paper is left because of the paper tray is enclosed and slides into the front of the printer. The printer doesn't "rock" like my old HP did and it's much faster at printing...both of which are big plusses!

Surpassed my expectations
This is my first HP Smart Tank Printer and I really like it so far. It was easy to set up and I was printing within minutes of set up. The printer sets up easily with the HP smart App although I did need to read the manual since there aren’t many buttons or a large screen so you need to press 2 different buttons at one time to get the Wifi to kick in. It wasn’t to much of a problem to figure out.
The printer and the cartridges are all set up very nice and even the bottles of ink snap in easily to the printer so there is no mess or spills. I print a lot of stuff at home between my husband and his small business, me and my small business and our kids with remote learning and everything else in between. I have a few printers and all are HP since they make good quality printers for whatever you need. I really like having the option to refill the cartridges myself instead of being forced to purchase high priced prefilled cartridges.
This printer is a little more pricey compared to the others but I feel it is worth it since it makes printing seamless with a high capacity ink cartridge and 2 years worth of ink. This printer prints, copies and scans, plus it has automatic 2-sided printing, borderless prints, mobile and wireless printing and can print up to 15 ppm black and 9 ppm color. This is definitely a all in one multi use printer and is made from recycled materials—more than 25% by weight of plastic. I still have a bunch of functions to get to but it works effortlessly with the HP App and I never have a problem printing. I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion.

Fast and Cheap Color Printing!
I have really been enjoying the HP Smart Tank 7001 printer. It prints really fast (9 pages/minute for color!) and the ink seems to last forever. I've been using it for a bunch of crafts projects and still haven't had to refill yet. The smartphone app is really great and simple. I can print event tickets and photos right from my phone over WIFI. I also like the design, its modern looking at looks very good in our office. I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion.

This printer is a compact, sleek looking printer that functions great as a home printer. The quality of the prints, scans, and copies are excellent. Printer is quiet and quick. Increasing the quality of scans does take longer, but able to manage on default settings and still get great quality scans. The large, refillable ink reservoirs make for eco-friendly ink replacements and less frequent need to purchase ink. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a home printer.

Absolutely love this printer. The automatic duplex option is a major time saver. The ink tanks saves having to buy LOTS of ink cartridges. I printed up 30 books for a family reunion and still have ink left.

The printer was everything I expected and more. The setup instructions were easy to understand, and loved that you have the option to see step-by-step video if you want. The reason I purchased another printer was because my HP 6700 would not connect to my wifi network and after purchasing new printer cartridges, the print was still light. I didn't have the time to troubleshoot because I needed a home printer ASAP, so went online, found this one, loved the idea of refillable tanks instead of the cartridges, so purchased, and have been satisfied ever since. Oh and it connected to my wifi network effortlessly.

HP has made an excellent all in one Smart Tank. From the minute I open the box the set up was so easy. The printer connected to all my devices quickly. It was in a matter of 20 minutes from start to finish. I thought the ink was going to be messy. I was wrong that was also mess free and quick and easy. Printing in black/white to color is fast. there is a difference between color printing it takes a few secs more than black n white but not by much. I don't see this printer using as much ink as my old printer. I made about 150 copies and if this was my other printer I would of had a warning window pop up low on ink. My son printed pictures and they came out beautiful. I haven't reach my limited of how much I would normally use this printer as school has ended for us and my children are not running this printer from 7 am to 4pm no stop. But I can say from what I have seen from what they have put it through so far I don't feel I will have to buy replacement ink every week with HP Smart Tank. I feel this printer is the printer for any household. I would think those that like to save money on ink would really like it the most. I named it Printer of the year. I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion.

Its a good HP printer
Its a great printer for people who print a lot. I been using HP printers for almost 15 plus years i feel the quality been getting worst, from the scanner to display. For the price of the printer the consumer is paying for the 2 years supply of the ink and not the printer it self. I feel the printer can be better with multifeeder and a stronger plastic. The printer prints very fast and at the same time is very quite. When printing it doesn’t move and din’t feel too much shacking.

Fabulous money saver!
I received this product for a discount to review and test out. I originally planned on at home but after testing it there I decided to bring it to work! The amount of ink cartridges that I go through due to printing a ton of invoices is ridiculous! This printer is an absolute game changer when it comes to the ink! I am beyond excited! The only reason that I gave it 4 stars is because it is slower than I am accustomed to. Beyond that, this is absolutely excellent as far as the 1. The packaging was so thought out and the care that went into that is top notch! 2. Knowing that HP created this is always fantastic 3. The aesthetics of the printer were also well thought out in their design and it is very appealing

HP smart tank 7001 printer has been extremely awesome to use. Very easy to set up very easy to put the ink in. It came with both of the inks that were needed for this printer and the pictures come out the best I ever had printed out from my home printer. It is very easy to hook up to the Internet very easy to hook up to your mobile device to print out what you need very easy to hook up to your laptop tablets the kids enjoy printing from it very easy for them to use and I like that. I definitely recommend this HP printer to anyone even if they just need it for here and there. The colors are very bright and bold I love all of the features that it has from the printing size to what you can print out how you can print it and you can even send it through the printer. I love that it is Wi-Fi enabled because I can be in any room and just send it right to the printer definitely recommend this HP smart tank 7001 all in one printer. It prints document s extremely quick efficiently and fast. I received this product that it just counted price in order to give my honest review and this is my honest review. What are the main differences between the HP Smart Tank 6001 and the 7001?
Hello. Thanks for your question. The HP Smart Tank 7001 printer has a bigger paper tray that can hold up to 250 sheets vs. 150 sheets on the HP Smart Tank 6001 printer. It can also hold up to 30 envelopes vs 10 envelopes on the HP Smart Tank 6001 printer. The HP Smart Tank 7001 printer can also print double-sided documents automatically. With the HP Smart Tank 6001 printer, you would need to manually turn the paper over.
