Rated 3 out of 5 by MonsieurMPursuit from Good sound quality, but lacking key functionality I plugged this headset in for the first time today. The sound quality is great, but I am very disappointed that the 3.5 mm jack doesn't seem to work when directly plugged into my laptop (it apparently only works for mobile phones and tablets). I have limited USB ports available with my current set up, so was hoping to just plug my headphones directly into my computer, but that doesn't seem to be possible. Also, to access the Settings, one needs to download a separate piece of software (I wanted to turn off the voice that indicates when you are muted/unmuted).

Rated 1 out of 5 by NooNoo from Turn off the annoying "Mute On" or "Mute Off auto The headset does its job. Well done. But why have the annoying "Mute On" or "Mute Off" electronic voice every time i hit the mute button, which is a lot on conference calls. The voice is total off putting and drowns out what people are saying on the call. This feature CANNOT BE TURNED OFF Why? This is having a useless function just to have the function. Designed by committee? I'm going to sell my headset totally annoying..........

Rated 2 out of 5 by NurseC from Works great, when it works This is excellent for those who work at home and have kids. It does a great job blocking out the background noise. The problem I have encountered is that the microphone is very inconsistent. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mongoose from Good headset This is comfortable, with great sound quality (important because I listen to music via my computer, and I'm a fan of baroque and early music, where clarity really matters). It filters out background noise pretty well, but not so well that I can't hear the doorbell!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Syed27 from Great comfort and performance marred by crackling Really comfortable and well performing headset marred by intermittent crackling. My previous 3210 headset never had this issue, though it was rather uncomfortable for me, hence the purchase of the 5220. I lodged a claim due to my blackwire 5220 experiencing intermittent crackling issues, which my other 3210 headset did not suffer. The claims process was very easy and I returned the headset as per the instructions. From here, the process fell apart, with no communications or updates. The only info I had was in the portal, which went from processing to cancelled. No explanation was provided, nor any attempt at contact. A couple of weeks later, a headset arrived, which appeared to be my old headset, but possibly with a new 3.5mm to USB connection. It would be nice to have received some detail / explanation in regard to what had transpired, and also to have a headset that doesn't crackle in use, which the issue remained with the returned headset. I have since purchased another headset from another provider.

Rated 3 out of 5 by teamsandroid from 5220C - great with laptop, not working with phone In a nutshell, no issues with laptop, comfortable and no issues, both by Jack and USB-C. But with my android phone, it's recognised, but no sound. Tried several of the settings, nothing works, so likely a hardware issue. Still, mostly, I need it for the laptop, so no big deal.

Is it possible to switch off the "mute on/mute off" voice function? I switch mine on/off a lot in meetings and keep missing what people are saying because the voice cuts over them.

Asked by: LizzieR
You can customize the Mute On/Off Alerts through our Hub Software: https://bit.ly/30jDXJM. You can choose between: Voice, single tone, and double tone. At the moment there's not an option to completely disable the mute reminder, as many users could mistakenly speak without realizing they're not muted.
