Size up for small business.
This printer is recommended for a small business, however, i am not impressed by the printing speed and it jams often when printing the second side. When a print job is sent via a print, the first few paragraphs or the first full page are missing. I definitely would upgrade to the next size or even the next size multifunction machine for better service.

First new printer in >15 years
My older officeJet 8620 HP printer was a workhorse. It gave me no problems for >15 years and then it just died. I wanted to get it repaired but couldn't justify it versus the cost of a new printer. The new officejet printer, Model 8130e) has nice features (scan to email, easier to print from the phone) but I'm already having intermittent connection issues requiring either a reboot of the printer or of the modem. It also is not as heavy as the last one so it shakes more when printing. The print quality is nice, but I wonder if I should have gone with a higher price model even though I don't need the print output of the higher model. Maybe it would have been a little more robust?
I don't expect the new model to last as long as the older one.
So far I like InstantInk. You get a new set of cartridges almost immediately because the ones you get with the printer are just smaller "setup" cartridges and don't last very long.

The printer is just ok. I liked my older one better and it never had these problems. The problems I have encountered using this 8130 printer is -the tray that holds the paper. It does not lock in position for 8 x 11 size paper. The tray has a cheap push in position that does not lock and the paper stacked in the tray keeps moving so the printed sheet is not good. I will try taping the sides of the tray for it to hold this position. I have wasted slit of ink because of this poorly made tray. The 2 bd problem is after every sheet prints the printer goes through a cycle of rechecking the printer so I hear the clicking and parts moving continuously and there is a delay printing out pages. When I first received the printer I tried setting it up a few times and it did not set up correctly. So I called HP tech for help and after almost three hours on the phone he could not set the printer up correctly either. So I hung up with him. Then I deleted all the files and apps he set up . I reloaded the drives and software and now the printer works correctly. Also HP tracks all the ink cartridges and after a few years the printer will not accept any cartridge so you have to buy a new printer. I read this information only recently after I was looking at the free cartridge program HP offers.

Top latch broken no reply from HP
Bought this HP Officejet Pro 8135a and although the printer works good, the lis does not open without a probe in corner hole to get it to work. I texted HP with no response on replacement. I can't be without the printer to do a switch so I'm stuck with a broken one. I'm also on their ink program, which I have been with prior HP printer for years but Still have a BROKEN PRINTER CASING.

I need help with the printer
There is no instruction booklet. I need it to print in color and it doesn't give me that option. Also, it was set up with my wifi and now it is asking for it. Why? I love it, just can't get it to operate..... Can't add photos.

Initial Problem with New Printer
After purchasing the printer and setting it up, I printed about 5 to 10 sheets and everything was fine. A few days later, I went to print something else and every page was blank. After calling HP for help because the printer was only two weeks old, they figured that the amount of ink in the original package was not enough to last any length of time. They did send me new cartridges and it’s now working fine.

HP 8130e (Not 8135e as noted)
I regret purchasing this printer! At this time, I still haven't been able to load the scan app, the printer will not print on both sides, it frequently goes into "error mode", etc. Calling for help? After an hour or so on hold, if you're able to talk to someone, English is a third language with a poor connection...at least the AI help is understandable. Virtually no instructions accompany the printer. The paper drawer is flimsy...and that's being generous and difficult to adjust for different paper sizes. I'm attempting to repair my old HP 8740 printer and if I'm successful, I'm going to junk the 8130, even with a 3 year warranty. If not, I'm going to Best Buy, purchase another version and still junk the 8130. HP can do better.

Great Printer
When I was talking to tech support about my old printer, which we could not repair, the tech suggested this unit as a replacment. I told him I n eeded an AIO unit that duples printed, Duplex scanned and duples copied. The 8139e does two side print, but scan & copy are manual duplex.

Not as good as my older one.
I thought this would be similar to the last one I owned, but I have had a few issues. The wifi does not connect as easily, when using the feeder the pages can be misaligned, and it seems like it is harder to get the pages to print properly. It's a good thing I don't have a lot of things to print or I would probably be returning it.

Set Up Challenging
Two stars ** for setup.
We decided to replace our HP "ENVYPhoto 7855." The Pro 8139e looked like a good price option what with the HP Sale, plus "3 Months of Instant Ink for FREE."
We had no idea of the challenge ahead of us in setting it up what with its 2"x11/2" screen using many new symbols which were mostly new to us. We had to depend on Google Search to finally complete the task. Compared to the ease of set up and operation of the 7855 the 8130e was a challenge. Also, the quality of the 8139e was not the quality of the sturdy 7855.
Multiple entries needed to "modify" then print a #10 envelope. The HP7855 was much easier. Outside of this...every thing's alright.

HP computer doesn’t connect wirelessly to this printer.
This printer only connects to a Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz network band. My HP Envy laptop computer only connects to a Wi-Fi 5 GHz network band. I have to use a printer cable to connect my HP computer to this printer

Sadly it’s not a good one!
I ordered this machine 2 times. One time didn’t print and the second time didn’t print color. I had the old model and worked amazing. I don’t know what the problem is with the updated version. But sadly it’s a terrible product.
