Rated 3 out of 5 by RJIZ from Mediocre Printer The printer seems much cheaper and much less sturdy than my previous one. It seems temperamental, at times. The paper drawer does not slide out unless I close the paper grabber, on the top. Very inconvenient and a waste of time. The window on front is way over to the left, and hard for me to even see it - too small. I am not terribly happy with this printer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by BronxGuy from Easy buying my new HP directly from the source. Via tech support, I was convinced my Office Jet 6968 had run its course- the blue ink jet would not fire and I was overwhelmed with "red." Segued into my 8025e flawlessly with Instant Ink incentives, and received my new printer in only 3 days.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from Unclear wifi error messages Printing overall is great. The menu concerning wifi connection is not as intuitive as I would like. I keep getting messages about not being connected, but it is not clear how to check the connection or reset the connection. At the same time, when I go throught the menus, it seems like the printer is indeed connected...I've dismissed it at this point. Things seem to be running smoothly without concerning myself with it - although the warning that it may soon stop printing if I'm not connected gives me some small amount of anxiety.

Rated 3 out of 5 by KClaro from Hate the paper tray I HATE the paper tray. Very cheaply made, and sticks and wont take paper that is heavier, say for a resume or official pages. I wasted numerous pages trying to make it work and ended up printing it on a regular paper, putting that on top of my official paper and then printing it on the top tray. On the good side set up of the machine was super easy.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Inkybreath from Not happy Printer is okay, per basic functions. The paper tray is bad and annoying. The apps caused me so much frustration for basic functioning. (I am competent to troubleshoot.) Personally, I find the instant ink subscription service weird and Even more of a scam. Maybe the word scam is a little heavy. That's how I feel. Lastly, one of their shipments of cartridges leaked all over the printer and ruined the printhead. They offered a $5 discount as recompense for their cartridges ruining the printer. This goes along with the fact that I did not get good use out of the instant ink service. And paid them way more money that was necessary. Part of that is on me and part of that is on the setup.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Former HP Loyalist from Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Printer This is without a doubt the worst printer/scanner I have ever owned, most of which have been HP products. The process for installing the printer software was a joke, as there are at least two different versions - one for desktop, one for your phone. Then HP tries spamming you with endless appeals to create "HP Smart"and "HP+" accounts, so that it can sell you on its ink subscription. Then there are the endless pop-ups reminding you that one of your ink cartridges is running low, even when the printer software is closed, WITH NO VISIBLE WAY TO TURN OFF THE ENDLESS REMINDERS. Note to HP: I neither need nor want an account to use a printer/scanner that is usually just six feet from my PC. Also, one or two reminders that I'm running low on ink is plenty. I don't need or want 20 of them a day. Then I end up with at least two different versions of the scanning software on my desktop, both of which look like they were written ca. 2003 and neither of which is very functional. The desktop software seems to function as little more than spamware, constantly demanding you sign up for HP Smart and/or buy ink. Then the printer/scanner is *constantly* disconnecting from my extremely stable mesh network, with which no other devices in my household ever seem to have an issue. I have now had this issue with two different HP printers/scanners in two different homes with completely different WiFi equipment. I was hoping that issue would be resolved with a newer model and newer technology. Nope. I tried reconnecting the printer to the network and it kept failing. The interface on the printer is as clunky as the desktop software and appears to be every bit as dated. It tells me I am connected to my laptop but isn't. So I re-add my laptop. Now there are TWO links on it to my laptop, as there is no visible way to remove the dead link. So then I tried reconnecting to the printer via the desktop software and all it would do is demand that I create an HP Smart account, which I do not want. I have probably owned a dozen printers and/or scanners in my life, most of which were HP, and I can literally say that I have never had a worse experience from start to finish than I've had with this one. Yes, finish - because I am taking it back and getting anything other than an HP. Dear HP: please just give us a decent printer/scanner that stays connected to our WiFi networks and scanning software that looks like it was written some time in the last decade. Sincerely, longtime loyal HP customer

Rated 4 out of 5 by Curmudgeon1 from Successful printer upgrade Clever pitch to upgrade my printer. In troubleshooting printing from within an Android App, as compared with webpage printing on a Chromebook which otherwise ran the app well, reflected aging printer's inability to keep up with software. Clearly I could have abandoned the Android app & used a web interface to access same info & printed articles.

Rated 1 out of 5 by HP = horrible printing from HP is best for smears and fraud on warranty If I could give don't buy I would. First 8020e caught fire, no joke. HP was nice enough to send another right away. To our dismay within 2 months it smeared pink lines. HP ran us through a trouble shoot and it ran for a month. 4 months later same thing. Customer service said they couldn't replace it, it was out of warranty. HP does not stand by their horrible products or their warranty of 2 years (2 years because I bought HP ink). I thought this would be the best thing but I'm telling all resources (best buy, staples, amazon, and any other company who sells this printer) do not buy.

Rated 2 out of 5 by coney from Unfixable problem Unless I just had a lemon, I would not recommend buying this printer. I bought it because it was highly rated. However, it is extremely slow, taking 1.5 minutes to print one page. I contacted HP tech support and after quite a lengthy procedure, the problem was not remedied. I will add that the tech agent was polite and did his best to fix the issue. My only recourse is to purchase a new printer, and even though this one is still under warranty, HP did nothing about it. So, what good is a warranty? I have purchased many HP printers over the years. This one was a disappointment.

Rated 1 out of 5 by reo89 from Goes OFFLINE constantly. Does not work with Fiber Optic Internet. This Printer worked for awhile, but now every morning when I need to print, it is OFFLINE. I need to call support and it takes 45 minutes every time to get it online again. Every day they do something different with it. Do they really know what they are doing?? Don't buy this one, and don't get Instant Ink. I'm switching to a different brand.

Does the 8025e have a USB port? If not, what other comparable models do?

Asked by: rozs
yes
Answered by: jimbo 1
Date published: 2023-05-27

Does the HP Officejet Pro 8025e have a USB port so that I can save scanned docs onto a USB thumb drive?  Will it also read from the thumb drive to print. It appears that the 8025e and the 8035e have identical specs on the HB website. Is this correct?

Asked by: Callicat
Thank you for your question! The 8025e does not have the necessary USB port for direct scanning to or printing from a USB drive. However, the 8035e does have that port.

Do you offer an extender for the paper out put tray? Because the product photos are not accurate. My pages hang over the edge by almost half and fall to the floor if more than 1 is printed.

Asked by: stephaniebob27
Obviously that was already done. The ‘extender’ is a joke. Even with that out the pages hang off by more than half and quickly fall to the floor. Your online photos are deceptive because that is not how they lay when printed. Definitely would not recommend this model. The tray might be sleek but it is not very functional. Will be researching new printers and getting rid of this asap!

We currently have a HP Officejet 4635 print, fax, scan, & copy. Looking to replace this one with something similar. We have a landline for faxing. We don't and have never had to pay extra to fax anything. What would you recommend?

Asked by: Snoopy lover
Thank you for your question! Any of the HP OfficeJet Pro line of printers will be able to fax via your landline at no extra charge. The 8025e is a good choice to replace your 4635.
