Great Experience buying new printer
My printer broke and I called HP for help. Representative was very helpful and knowledgeable and walked me through trying to fix my old printer. The printer could not be fixed, so I decided to buy a new ink jet printer which came to my doorstep in a couple of days. It was only $100 and came with six months free Ink!!! I called and another representative help me set it up successfully. It has been awesome.

The process to get the printer was very difficult. I could not figure out how to make it work. I have had many HP printers in past years and it was "plug it in, connect to computer" and go to work. I got in touch with a HP help tech person and she suggested I get $500.00 Norton system to get it to work.
I ended up with another tech and he was very good and got it to work after about two hours. I realize my computer is getting old but this was ridiculous.

This printer does everything you need it to. HP is always high quality and easy setup. This is the first printer I've owned with individual print cartridges rather than one cartridge with all colors. In time I'll discover if I'll like it better.

Not an easy installation, usage issues
I've only been using the printer for a week, but already I've noticed that if a multi page document is printed, the discharge tray is poorly designed to handle more than a few pages. The additional pages get shoved under previously printed pages, so that the order gets messed up. Eventually it causes a jam, which happened when printing a 8 page document. The other difficulty was getting the printer initially setup. I kept getting a message saying "drivers not found". It was many attempts at installing and uninstalling thru the hp smart app to finally get it working. Other than that, the printer is quick and easy to use, and print quality is great for my purposes.

Prints fine. Had trouble with my WiFi was blocking the new device. Was able to connect with a free help desk and got it resolved. Make sure you don’t use the pour screen where chats want to charge you for help. Follow the instructions with the manual. I don’t like that it only uses official HP expensive cartridges

Still have plenty of ink in the printer. Free ink sent so I would not run out. Love the fact I have them when I do get low on ink. I am sure I will love the ink.

Watch out for setup scams.
Watch out for thie setup procedure, I got scammed into putting my credit card in and then charged $49.99 for a "service contract". Had to cancel my credit card, it messed everything up, and I had to wait 4 days for a new card.

Printer came set for 14” paper could not set for 11”.
Could not find the output paper arm. No manual included. Called tech support they were great.
It is set for 11”, but if I pull out the tray it goes back to 14” and locks. No lock for 11”.

The printer works fine, but the information provided for the installation was terrible - for me, it was worthless. I had to get outside help to get things going and had to provide my own hook-up cable because one did not come with the printer. All the installation instructions were for services that I do not have.

This printer was super affordable and it does everything I need. I love the tray on top so I can scan or copy multiple pages with ease, even if they are two sided. The only thing that isn't as sophisticated as other, more expensive printers I've used is the display screen. The font and graphics are efficient but not fancy.

I have an HP Office Jet Pro 8600 Plus. I guess you would say it's all in one -- prints, scans, copy. I'm thinking of purchasing the HP Office Jet 8015e All in one printer.at $159.99 Is this comparable to what I have?
The 8015e does not have fax capability or a USB port for scanning to or printing from whereas the 8600 Plus did. If a fax is not needed then the 8015e is a good replacement. If you need an OfficeJet printer with double-sided scanning and a USB port to scan to and print from, then the 9015e is recommended.
