Good Product and Model Experience!
This printer does every-thing that I needed. I'm glad I went with the two-sided document scanning and printing. The envelope feed tray and glass flat-bed is a bonus. My personnel set-up was straight forward with the free HP downloads.

Workhorse Printer
This is my 3rd HP Laser jet printer over the last 12 years. These printers are a workhorse. The HP Laser jet Pro MFP 4101fdw wireless printer is easy to use and prints beautiful, clear copies.

Difficult setting up 4101
Not a good experience. I was unable to link my computer to my laptop as the hp assistant keep stating that the serial number could not be found. This caused hours and hours of frustration. Next time I buy a hp printer it will be through staples where I can easily drop it off and return it. Hp was of little help. Very disappointing experience!

DON'T BUY- DOESN'T Work on Windows 11
Does not work with Windows 11 - printer has to use general driver and scanner software does not exist. HUGE waste of money to buy HP all-in-one ....should be called works-with-none. HP tech support didn't care and said "use general printer driver and maybe in the future something will change"

HP LaserJet Pro 4101fdw
This is a 3-in-1 unit. Printing capabilities are great. Copy feature is also great. Scan feature needs some improvement. I bought it as it scans both sides in one pass, but I miss the features the Fujitsu brings, meaning the auto-page orientation, auto page-length recognition and mostly, blank-page detection. I can't comment on the faxing as I am not setting that up, but based upon the copy capabilities, I would guess that faxing is also well done. So, just disappointed in the scanning.

Printer is not what I expected from HP. I had a lot of difficulties getting it set up. No manual to reference. Printer is un reliable. Works fine one time, next time the paper does not feed correctly resulting in document being cropped. Touch screen is too small. #1 tray is fragile and extends out from printer and not always feed correctly.

Learn first you or your family needs when buy or "lease" a printer with ink supply.
HP has many options.
Questions like do I/we need a color or only black printer or what is the difference in quality of printing and cost of the ink for a ink jet or laser printer or do I am OK with HP's automatic ink supply and pay for extra copies beyond original agreement?.
I have learnt in my case that I don't need to print in color, that is better economically print with a laser and that don't want to deal with controlled ink supply.

Poor customer service
I was able to set this printer up to print wirelessly with no problem. I was unable to set up the scan function, even with a phone call to HP. I incurred a $333 fee to have a local tech company set up the scan function. HP blamed “something in my computer.” I would not but another printer from HP, and I nearly sent this one back.

Disappointed
We had issues printing from our Apple products. We spent 2 hours with HP support in order to make it work. It seems is not compatible with IOS 18. That was very disappointing since we never had before an issue on setting HP printers. To make it work with our Apple
Products ( Mac, iPhone, iPads) we had to remove and install the HPsmart and print from there, which is one more step.

Prints great, scanner works most of time
Prints fast and clear. Scanner was great for first week, but has some issues scanning a document that’s 20 plus pages. Sometimes have to rescan or split documents in half. Scanned images are very clear.

Perfect Solution
Easy to set up and great print quality. We typically buy color printers but found that since the printer is for home use, the black and white is perfect. We don’t have to worry about buying all the color toners. So less stress but not less quality.

Works Well
I am mostly pleased with the printer functioning. Set-up was a challenge. Instructions are minimal. It requires inputting an 8 digit number, but does not tell you where to find that number. The number comes up on the printer screen only at the time it is needed to input - and even then you have to scroll to find it. Since the computer and printer I was setting up were in different rooms, I did not see the number. After searching paperwork, etc, I Googled information on-line. Finally found someone who experienced the same problem and he/she carefully described where to find the number. I have not yet set-up FAX, but printing, copying and scanning are working well. I like that the scanning can be controlled from the computer. Scanning results are very good. Printing and Copying are high quality. My previous HP All-In-One Laser Printer lasted 16 years, and I am hoping this one will do the same. Comparing to my previous printer, I do not like how the individual paper/envelope feeder works. You have to open a tray that tilts out. A full size sheet of paper hangs out over its end. Seems somewhat flimsy and is easily bumped in to. Main paper tray functions well.

Great printer but connecting took time
The printer is excellent. Prints are exceptional over ink jet. I’m very pleased that I went laser. I dropped one star because I had some trouble connecting it to my system. I had to make a phone call to HP. The tech was very helpful but I did spend a lot of time getting the connection to work.

Buy the HPLJ Pro MFP 4101fdw Printer!
I am so excited about my new HP LJ Pro MFP 4101fdw! I was a little nervous about doing the install myself as I usually have IT do that part, but I pulled the printer out of the box connected it to my computer, opened the HP Smart app and voila! It practically installed itself! The print quality, speed, and simplicity of this printer are fantastic! I definitely would purchase it again. The price was also really good, and on top of all this, I received a nice discount on the printer from HP for purchasing during their President's Day Sale! Super happy customer here in Michigan!

Terrible Customer Service
The printer is fine The HP customer service is useless. I wasted 8 hours speaking with several different customer service representatives who were untrained. I finally found out that the printer kept dropping off of my internet because I needed a more powerful router. This should have been diagnosed in 5 minutes. The printer that this printer replaced is probably fine - I was having the same wireless connectivity issues it. So I bought a printer that I probably didn't even need.

Value and reliability!
The printer/fax/scanner works very well. The setup was very easy, as all the print drivers, etc. are downloaded from a link to the HP website. A reliable printer was the most important feature I needed. I have never been disappointed with the HP printers or other products. This stood out as a great value when I was shopping for 2-sided printer and scanner (fax was a bonus). With the discount that was offered at the time of purchase, I was able to add the 3-year extended warranty plan (next day exchange if not repaired thru tech services). Thanks HP.

Decent Printer
Printer is not quite big enough for our office needs. We should have done more research. It gets extremely hot when we print many copies. The touch screen is very small. It's hard to touch the correct numbers. It also does not hold much paper. It is more suited for a small office or home.

Print quality was terrible, splotches everywhere. Had to se for heavy paper to avoid the splotches, which added to print time. Didn't have 2 weeks and had to send back as document feeder malfunctioned and wouldn't reset.

Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) design flaw.
The Automatic Document Feeder takes more than one sheet at a time when scanning. I found the same defect with 3 4101fdws I purchased and replaced over the course of a few weeks.

Tax Exemption needs a better process
Nothing against the product but I have been trying to submit a tax exempt form for the past 2 weeks and it's really hard. I sent emails and tried to call but I can't wait all day in line and the emails had one reply that wasn't helpful. Please try to update the process for the tax exemption because I have fiscal year deadlines and the way things are done now will set me back.
