HP 6055e not bad for the price
I replaced my very old Epson with the HP 6055e, on sale for $64.99. The HP uses an app on your smartphone which is nice, but I was used to having the choices on the printer. (Copy- duplicate sides, quality of print, etc; Scan- photo, document, pixel options, etc.; setting. Ink maintenance, etc) I was told by the rep that I would still have those options. She was wrong. Everything is almost all managed from the app. However, for the cost, it’s manageable. When opening the top to place a document on the screen for copying, it won’t stay open on its own…must hold it open.

Doesn’t work
Doesn’t work. Tried to print 40 total pages in 8 attempts. Still didn’t complete. Got different errors they caused printing to stop. Customer service won’t allow me to simply return even though I paid $200 for a warranty for this and the laptop. He said I have to work with IT and if they think I should get a return then I can return. I asked where this information was when I purchased. He couldn’t give me any information than to go search that on hp.com. I spent 5 minutes answering IT’s automated questions and then was told it will be a long wait time.

I like the size compared to the monster of my old printer. We had a little problem connecting to internet but was able to resolve. Printing is going very well. I would recommend this printer. I am located in Temple, Texas

Very good printer with HP limitations
The printer itself is pretty good except, it lacks a screen which means ALL the settings have to be done via the smart app. Additionally in the event you need to change the WiFi you have to do a factory reset which isn't easy. Well it is easy but finding out how to do it isn't, a google search shows so many options, it is hard to know which one is the right one. Additionally, HP (along with everyone) has opted to quit supporting the email to print function. Well I am here to tell you that the whole world does not revolve around a smart phone and an app. There are still plenty of us out here that use computers (PCs, Apples, Chromebooks).

HP 6055
Right now I am not very pleased with this printer! When I first ordered the 6055 and it came I spent probably about 4 hours with a tech trying to get the first one to scan....it printed ok but would not scan and after that much time, I was told I had a "defective printer." So I was sent another one, which for the first week worked great, but now when I try to print it say that the printer is in "error mode!" To be honest I am not sure if I am that impressed with HP at this time! I have always trusted them because I have never had any problems....but now????? Give me a break!

For the price, its ok
I purchased the HP ENVY 6055e because my current printer doesn't work. When trying to install the printer, the scanner isn't working. The scanner is the most important figure that I need. So I'm still using my old printer for scanning projects.

TECH SUPPORT HELPED ME SET IT UP. IN THE BEGINNING IT KEPT DISCONNECTING FROM THE INTERNET. THEN IT WOULDN'T PRINT & HAD TO GET SUPPORT. FINALLY SHE SAID THE BLACK INK WASN'T WORKING, SO HAD TO WAIT FOR A REPLACEMENT. ALOT OF PROBLEMS. NOW, AFTER MANY TECH SUPPORT CALLS, IT SEEMS TO BE WORKING OK. I WAS ALMOST READY TO SEND IT BACK. I HATE THE ON/OFF BUTTON IN BACK OF PRINTER. SO AT THIS POINT I REALLY CAN'T GIVE AN OPINION ON IT.

This printer is good. It looks elegant, compared with my old HP 7000 series. The price is good. Set up is easy. I did it on my own within an hour. It is fully wireless, convenient. Just it does not have touch screen in the printer. You should opereate in your computer or phone. I felt it is better than the touch screen on the printer.
For now, it has a small problem for me. I have not figuredd out how I can fix it on my own or should I reach someone. It has a tiny noise always. I think it needs some smooth oil. But I am not sure where I should put that oil in and how to open it. So I always turned it off when I am not using it and when I need to print, I have to open it again.

The Best All-in-One Printer, The HP ENVY 6055e
The HP ENVY 6055e All-in-One Printer is the perfect match for my needs. I rarely need a printer, but this one is everything I could possibly need in one unit. The set-up process is extremely simple and automated, I was amazed at how simple it is to Set-up such an advanced Printer. The Ink Cartridges are also very simple to install and calibrate, The HP ENVY 6055e basically does everything for you, with very little input from the user. I have printed a few photos and I'm very happy with the print quality!! This printer is very fast, in my personal opinion, it's the fastest I've owned to date. I love how you know the status of the printer and it's functions by the color of the LED lights. I love HP Products and have been using HP Products for many years, trouble-free. I highly recommend the HP ENVY 6055e All-in-One Printer for Home and Home Office use! You can't go wrong with HP!!

Gift for Friend
I purchased this printer as gift for a friend who lives in small apartment with limited space for computer equipment. She is thrilled with it as her budget wouldn't permit her to make such a purchase. I was sure this printer would be long term reliable as I have been a happy HP customer with all HP equipment for over 20 years.

Double what I was promised.
This is an amazing surprise as I was told that I would get 3 mo. free service with my new printer purchase and now I find I have 6 mo. free service - double the original amount !! I have had the service for about 3 years now and love it.

Blocked???
It started off great the first few times I used it. Then suddenly, It keeps sending me texts that it is blocked! I don't see any paper jam. Ink is properly inserted, plugged in properly, and connected to wifi & internet.
One time it mentioned it needed paper but there was plenty, I thought. I added a little more and the message went away. BUT, it is still blocked. I can't use it until it is unblocked. I JUST BOUGHT THIS! Help??

Nice to have a printer again
This printer works really well. I am able to scan patterns for my art projects, Foundation paper piecing. It works well for printing items from online sites. The set up was a breeze to do even for me, I am not electronically inclined. As far as I am concerned simple is good. The price for my printer was reasonable, and the print ink program is handy to have.

The on /off button is challenging. Features are very different fr my Epsom printer. Control buttons are not user friendly, have to keep referring to my booklet. Would like to exchange for another model if possible?

I received my Envy 6000e printer on March 8. A month later I had occasion to print an envelope, an ordinary No 10 business envelope. The envelope came out of the printer blank.
Eventually I called HP Customer service, I waited nearly 40 minutes before I got to someone who attempted to help me. We spent an hour and a half while he proposed one possibility after another. Nothing worked. After a 2 hour phone call, he suggested we take a break for half an hour. He had my phone number and I waited for the call. It did not come. Before ending the session he set up a backup appointment for 10 AM on Thursday, I waited. He did not call. Yesterday afternoon I called AppleCare. Within 30 minutes the Apple agent fixed the problem and the printer now prints No 10 envelopes, just as the description in your advertisement for the Envy 6000e shows....If HP printers are programmed only to work with Windows products, you advertising should make that clear....Another issue the Envy 6000e sends error messages without any way of my knowing what the message means, Just an E on the keypad and a light on the corner of the printer box. I found nothing in the materials I received that tell me what those messages mean....This is my 4th or 5th HP printer; the others met my expectations. So far, this one is very below par....My opinion based on this experience is that HP, in contrast to Apple, puts a very low value on helping people who have problems with your products. In previous cases I've gone to you "Chat Service." In this instance I tried the chat and your automated system refused to accept any of my attempts to identify the problem. i tried repeated variations of the sentence, "The printer does not print envelopes." but it was never understood.
