Gift for Friend
I purchased this printer as gift for a friend who lives in small apartment with limited space for computer equipment. She is thrilled with it as her budget wouldn't permit her to make such a purchase. I was sure this printer would be long term reliable as I have been a happy HP customer with all HP equipment for over 20 years.

Double what I was promised.
This is an amazing surprise as I was told that I would get 3 mo. free service with my new printer purchase and now I find I have 6 mo. free service - double the original amount !! I have had the service for about 3 years now and love it.

Blocked???
It started off great the first few times I used it. Then suddenly, It keeps sending me texts that it is blocked! I don't see any paper jam. Ink is properly inserted, plugged in properly, and connected to wifi & internet.
One time it mentioned it needed paper but there was plenty, I thought. I added a little more and the message went away. BUT, it is still blocked. I can't use it until it is unblocked. I JUST BOUGHT THIS! Help??

Nice to have a printer again
This printer works really well. I am able to scan patterns for my art projects, Foundation paper piecing. It works well for printing items from online sites. The set up was a breeze to do even for me, I am not electronically inclined. As far as I am concerned simple is good. The price for my printer was reasonable, and the print ink program is handy to have.

Somewhat Disappointed
The on /off button is challenging. Features are very different fr my Epsom printer. Control buttons are not user friendly, have to keep referring to my booklet. Would like to exchange for another model if possible?

I received my Envy 6000e printer on March 8. A month later I had occasion to print an envelope, an ordinary No 10 business envelope. The envelope came out of the printer blank.
Eventually I called HP Customer service, I waited nearly 40 minutes before I got to someone who attempted to help me. We spent an hour and a half while he proposed one possibility after another. Nothing worked. After a 2 hour phone call, he suggested we take a break for half an hour. He had my phone number and I waited for the call. It did not come. Before ending the session he set up a backup appointment for 10 AM on Thursday, I waited. He did not call. Yesterday afternoon I called AppleCare. Within 30 minutes the Apple agent fixed the problem and the printer now prints No 10 envelopes, just as the description in your advertisement for the Envy 6000e shows....If HP printers are programmed only to work with Windows products, you advertising should make that clear....Another issue the Envy 6000e sends error messages without any way of my knowing what the message means, Just an E on the keypad and a light on the corner of the printer box. I found nothing in the materials I received that tell me what those messages mean....This is my 4th or 5th HP printer; the others met my expectations. So far, this one is very below par....My opinion based on this experience is that HP, in contrast to Apple, puts a very low value on helping people who have problems with your products. In previous cases I've gone to you "Chat Service." In this instance I tried the chat and your automated system refused to accept any of my attempts to identify the problem. i tried repeated variations of the sentence, "The printer does not print envelopes." but it was never understood.

It makes me happy.
I have been a loyal HP customer for years. I didn't even consider another brand. I looked for what I wanted and what I needed. This fit me and my small businesss to a T. I love the chimes when the paper tray is open, after I print. It makes me happy.

Excellent Printer
This printer is compact, and performs all the functions I need for a small home office and college. The pages print faster than my previous HP Inkjet4055. The product is perfect and I did have to call customer service to get assistance connecting to my internet and they were fabulous. I was up and running in about 1 hour. Note: the printer was not a problem, my wifi had issues that HP corrected. So not only do you get an awesome printer, but 6 months of ink and customer support as long as I subscribed to Instant Ink - which I have for 3 years. I love you HP!!!

Excellent sales service; prompt delivery of printer; relatively easy to install.
I found the Set Up Guide in conflict with the online directions. The conflict, when to turn 'On' the printer. Step 4 of Set Up Guide turns printer 'On'; Step 6 repeats turn 'On' instructions after you go to 123.hp.com. Result: driver didn't find printer.

Power button is in the back.
This is a great printer, the only thing i don't like is that the power button is in the back. So i can't just turn it on from my desk. I have to get up to turn it on or off. And if you don't remember to pull out the paper holder, your papers go all over the floor. And there is no scan button. You have to go into the app to do scanning. My old printer had the power button on the front and it had a scam button on the printer. Other than those little things, it's a great printer.

I don't have a half an hour every day to wonder why I can't use your 6055e after successfully installing it the first day. This is the second 6055e I am sending back. This time for a refund.

HP and the Lack of Real Support
Terrible product and support. There was no one to actually speak to about the product. It ran out of ink quickly and other than joining a monthly program, no way to get ink. It ran out far too quickly. Rip Off Really. No free six months for sure. I would look elsewhere for a printer than HP. It’s too automated to actually speak to a customer rep.

Mixed feeling re: HP printer & HP Instant Ink
The first printer was defective. The 2nd printer works fine. What I don't like is that HP Instant Ink has blocked my other printer from working with the ink cartridge that is already installed. I may or may not continue to purchase HP printers, but I will no longer use HP Instant Ink.

Bad start printer
Nice little inexpensive printer, easy to set up, but getting used to colored lights to understand operation is weird. Also, printer successfully printed one page then went offline, requiring phone interaction with HP technician. Not off to a good start.

Frustrated&soon to be ex-hp customer
I am so disappointed!! (I’ve been a hp customer for years.) This purchase is defective. A small piece of broken plastic was rattling around inside printer, it doesn’t close properly & I’ve spent HOURS following the directions to hook it up to no avail. I’ve requested assistance about how to return it but STILL haven’t had a response from hp. I’ll never buy refurbished again and I’m on the verge of buying a different brand name printer& leaving the hp ink refill program.
