Nice machine; easy on the budget.
Very efficient and quick to print machine. Faster than me previous HP printer by about 20%. Easy to read and comprehend display. Setup was quick, intuitive and simple. Connection into network was flawless. And thus far, printer has not disappointed.

My only complaint
I love my new printer but I miss one thing that my old Envy had which my new one is missing. When my old Envy printer was printing, an arm would protrude to collect the newly printed pages. My new printer just spits them out onto the floor.

It does NOT print on glossy paper
This printer is ok. It connects easily. It has a dedicated photo tray. It came with some 5 x 5 glossy paper for photos. I have not been able to get this printer to print on glossy paper of any size. It spues ink on glossy prints. This is my second printer in 3 weeks. Both printers have the same issue. Tech support has been of no help, after hundreds of minutes online with tech support.

Not good
You have to load the paper very carefully or the printer will say there’s no paper. When printing photos it leave line in it. Doesn’t matter how many times you clean the heads.

Great printer needing a bit more freedom from HP Print
I love this printer for the most part. The one thing i dont like is once it goes to sleep for longer than a few hours, i can no longer locate it to print wirelessly. I have to go wake it to get it to show. The way it functions is mainly through HP print app and inwish there was more flexibility. Overall a good printer and scanner. Print quality is great!

TERRIBLE INK ONLY LASTED FOR 60 sheets of printing. The XL cartridges.
The ink only lasted a week for me. Just terrible. Yes, it was a brand new cartridge. The original set up cartridge only lasted for a couple sheets of printing. I pulled back the label to see that the foam (or whatever it is called). Was white. So it was not completely filled properly with ink. I got my new cartridges and these two didn’t last long. I only got 60 pages printed and the color is empty. What a joke.

Full feature, quality prints.
Bought the Inspire for support of a
n aging Envy 5660. It has the same features and print quality with the addition of a multi-page document feeder. It is also one of the few printers with a document and photo tray. Purchased directly from HP, felt confident of product help and price. The sales rep was great. If you need the two print trays this is the printer for you

Not a good experience, sale of printer was cancelled because it was not on the sale.
Not a good experience. Sale cancelled because it was not on sale. Had to purchase another printer at a higher price. Problem with setup and outsourced trouble fixer conned me into buying a $429. service contract. When I complained about the sale, HP said they would give me a $75 credit back on my credit card. I never received the credit. Really poor purchase & follow-up. And I'm a HP share holder; a long-time buyer for over 10 years. HP has good products, but service leaves a lot to be desired.

Wonderful printer
Very nice printer. While I don’t print a huge amount, this printer meets my needs including the copy functions. Instant Ink, I've used for years, takes all worry out of ever running out of ink.

7958e review
This 7958e is my third HP printer I have owned. I was shocked at the difficulty in connecting this model to my new HP desktop. It is needlessly complicated to achieve and maintain wireless connectivity. I had an IT guy hook my desktop up, do debloating, and some customizing work for me. The only thing he had trouble with was connecting this printer. It should not require an expert. There is no reason for there to be such issues. I have already had it lose contact with my computer a few times. I have been able to get it back online...so far. HP, re-think this one.

I have tried to write my review but have been blocked from signing on. I did receive this printer, but it has never worked. The "TINY" ink (1 is black ink and 2 is colored ink) has never worked and the colored one was leaking the minute I installed it. This printer has never turned on. I have tried to reach you and send it back but all you did was ignore me. What are we going to do about this? I have used HP for about 30 or more years and never had a problem. Now, the blasted one you sent won't even work. By the way, I ordered and EXACT SAME printer of the previous one (which finally wore out) and you did NOT send the EXACT SAME PRINTER.
What do we do about this? I Already paid for this printer and upon receipt found it is 1) NOT the exact same one as my last one from you.....Can we exchange this one that is not working for what I actually ordered...the EXACT same printer as my last one...NOT this current one you sent.

Ink errors
Loved all of it. Easy install, etc. Problem after the fact: HP sent me two extra inks. One was almost an inch too long so I had to go Staples and replace that black ink cart. ???

I am very disappointed n frustrated with Hp all together my setup took over an hour and sill not all questions were answered n further more i cant print off mobile i now have to go to the app n still have trouble printing. Just such a horrible experience from the get go

HP ENVY Inspire 7955e All-in-One Printer
The ordering of the printer was easy and delivery was on scheduled date. Printer setup was easy with simple setup instructions provided. The printer is working well with my Wi-Fi and printed documents are clear and crisp. The flatbed scanner also works well with high quality images saved. Loading paper and ink cartridges is also simple and easy. The only issue I have is in using the document feeder to scan 4x6 photos. The page guides do not go all the way to where the roller grabs the photos. Works well for documents but not so easy for photos. I can manually place 10-15 photos over the roller and it will scan all of them. However, without the guides some photos are slanted slightly as they get scanned.

I have had two 7955e printers. HP replaced the first one because the 8X10 color photos have faint horizontal lines about 5/8" apart across the photo. The replacement 7955e does the same thing. I am using HP photo paper and ink. the lines are faint but if I need a color print without lines I have to go to another source for prints. I will live with faint lines on the prints. I don't think replacing the 7955e with another 7955e is worth the trouble. Other than the lines the printer does a good job. I would not recommend the printer due to the lines,

I continuously purchase HP "All in One" Printers. This is my favorite printer for home use. The set up is so easy and all online educational materials are very well put together. I never have issues with set up, operation and maintenance. Great Job HP!!!

Love how fast this printer prints. Don't love that it thinks that it is out of paper, when it has plenty of paper. The HP tech couldn't advise me how to remove that warning text.

I really like this printer
I like this printer better than any I've ever used. It makes great pictures and sharp clean documents. The scan and copy functions are easy to use and have all the options I use often. I especially like the large paper bin and the duplex printing.

Solidly built, quiet, loads of features, excellent print quality. Easiest setup imaginable including connecting to home wi-fi and swapping new printer for old one on Instant Ink on HP account. HP Smart Print makes it a snap to use. Hardest task was opening the box.

If You Have a Defective Printer Under Warranty, Be Prepared to Wait for Replacement!
I bought this Envy Inspire on 7 Sep 2024 to replace my old 7800 series printer. It died with the blue screen of death on 11 Oct 2024 - a month later. It took me about an hour to convince tech support that this printer was truly dead, then I was told I had to return the dead printer and have its return verified before they would ship me a new replacement! I have been using HP printers for many years, and replacement printers were always shipped within a couple of days, and you could use the box to return the defective printer. Here I had to find a box big enough for the printer and then drive 25 miles to the closest open FEDEX. Now I wait. I was told the wait could be as long as 11 days! I use my printer daily and need and rely on it. I cannot do my work. I do not know when this replacement/return policy was changed, but it is unacceptable. I love HP printers - they are the best. I do not want to switch to a different brand, but I may be forced to.

Larger ink cartridges
Document feeder is sensitive. Photo tray gets in the way and impedes printing. Ink supply is completely inadequate. Otherwise print quality is okay.

HP products have lost quality. I have nothing but trouble with two NEW HP printers. This printer will not printer in color on a consistent basis. Yes I have changed ink. Very unhappy and customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I know a bot will read this and nothing will happen.

Unit seemed to work well initially, but after a few weeks the auto feeder does not function and I cannot bring up cartridge ink levels indicator. Been too busy to spend time investigating how to fix. Also, I purchased the new 7955E unit because HP told me that my Model 7100 was too old. I later determined that a bad cartridge was the problem. With new black cartridge OLD 7100 still works fine.

Requesting to return the wrong printer and receive my refund in full.
This HP Printer isn’t what I ordered Hp sent me the correct Printer. I was told I had 30 days to return the wrong printer. I contacted them at28 days and was told it couldn’t be returned.

Good printer for the money
I bought this printer to replace a HP7800 I had for 10 years that would recognize the cartridges any longer. This is a comparable replacement in that it uses the same HP64 cartridges and has similar functions. My only issue is that there is no USB port for saving scans.

Easy to set up color printer
Printer easily talks to my laptops wirelessly and was a quick setup process - even for a non-techy like me. Cost of printers is quite reasonable too. And, each time we update our printer, the speed goes up, which is a nice side-benefit.

I enjoy the ease of use of the 7955e. We make copies, print documents, & print photos. Many of the things are done from our phones or laptop. I wish a manual would have been included, but HP tech support was AMAZING! She made set up possible.

This is a great printer for home personal use. It is exactly as described and quality is excellent. It does everything I need. And I was able to connect it, etc, to all my other devices by myself and it didn’t take long at all. The HP Printer Smart App was Extremely useful. I have always used only HP Printers & the very large ALL IN ONES. But I don’t use the large ones now, but I just have to say that my last HP ALL IN ONE lasted 15 years and it was used a lot!! 100 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️to HP!! I’m just having a very slight problem with my new HP ENVY Inspire e. When I go to print a notice comes up that says problem with paper; but it still prints, I notice the paper slides toward front of printer paper tray, and still have not been able to figure out why! So I have to keep pushing paper back into back of paper tray. I can’t figure out why it won’t stay in place. And I only use HP Paper. I highly recommend this printer!

How is this printer at scanning photos? I had an HP Photosmart quite awhile ago and it was great at scanning photos...very clear.
I bought this printer for the purpose of scanning photos. They come out looking blurry. You would expect an expensive printer like this to make things very clear but the fact is my dad has an HP OfficeJet printer that came out many years ago and the pictures look clearer than this HP Envy printer. I even called HP technical support and they couldn't fix it because this is just this printer is. It's pathetic actually. I highly recommend not to buy it unless you don't mind blurry looking pictures.

How do I get 3 months free ink with a 2 year warranty?
During the setup using the HP Smart app, you get a request to join HP+ which is complete free as well. If you accept that offer you get the 2-year warranty and then it gives you an offer for the free months of Instant Ink and you just continue to that section to claim the free months. I got the printer yesterday and while printing photos on hp glossy paper (which came with the printer) - the ink is all over the place. I called for tech line and we tried everything its still the same. Very disappointed by the purchase.

Hello. Thanks for your question. You can use the HP Smart app to scan to email. You would use the scan option on the HP Smart app to share via email.
To make it easier the next time, we recommend using Shortcuts. It allows you to make a Shortcut, i.e. a scanned item to be emailed to this email address.
