The App failed on my smartphone, and then caused unknown problems on my HP Desktop, as we tried to setup the printer, now with support from HP itself. It took a long time to get it setup, even with remote help logged onto my desktop.

Je décide de mettre des cartouches HP et mon imprimante ne fonctionne plus. Virtuellement, on me dit de changer ma cartouche???. Au service, on me donne trois numéros différents et sans me répondre en français, on me dit de contacter l'assistant virtuelle??? Je n'ose pas racheter une autre cartouche car s'il ne la reconnait pas, cela ne règlera pas mon problème. Je ne comprends pas que nous ayons tant de difficulté à rejoindre un service à la clientèle. HP était ma marque préféré. J'ai gardé mon premier ordi 10 ans et il fonctionne encore. Mais maintenant leur produit est rendu très cheap et pas de service en plus.

After not too long it just stopped printing properly and now we can't use it for that. For a while I've just been using it as a scanner but even then I have to jump through hurdles to make that work. Connecting it to the Wi-Fi was like solving the millenium puzzle. It keeps on creating fake issues that I have to solve. It will have been working just fine the previous day, and then there's some reason it suddenly can't connect or needs extra setup or some other nonsense. It is the most infuriating piece of junk I have ever had to put up with. It's also my first printer, so maybe printers are just like that. God help me if they are.

The wifi connection was constantly dropped and most recently the printer itself stopped working. I am getting an error "EE" which is not in the error codes provided by support. I looked online to find other people who have this same error, but no solution exists. It was a cheap printer and I got what I paid for. Spend the extra money and get something that works.

It is hard to restart configuration after failed setup. Printer has hard time finding my wifi, it shows other wifis but not the closes one. It also forces You to use HP smart application. Remember times when it was enough to plug the printer to the computer or find it in network? Not this one, this requires special application that requires localization, what for? I bought it for printing not tracking me.

I was surprised that the printer did not offer double sided printing. Our 4500 HP printer did this and was great to save paper. We can still print both sides but requires manual interference to manipulate the paper. Gave our old printer to our daughter.

I'm also satisfied with Bonus 9 months of Ink with HP+, I can print all documents or photos without worrying about ink cartridges at all.

Nothing in anything I read from HP said I had to have an HP account and be signed into the account to print. I don't want an account, don't need one (from Canon) to print, and now don't want this printer. Without an account it is wired. It does print a nice copy
