HP Spectre x360 16" 2-in-1 Laptop - 16t-f2000

5/5
Excellent keyboard, trackpad, and form factor. The 360 hinge is incredibly useful to me. This is the best laptop I've found. I buy a new Spectre 360 every 2 years for work. One issue: the screen is a mirror. There is not option for a matte screen. It is extremely reflective in high light areas. Looks incredible when in a dark room, but why are glossy reflective screens the only option, HP?! (still 5 stars because it is the best laptop I can find on the market. I'll buy again in 2 years, but PLEASE offer a matte, non-glossy screen.)

HP Spectre x360 2-in-1 Laptop - 16t-f100, 16"

In general, I am very happy with the computer. My only complaints are that it would be nice to have at least one more USB port and a security slot. Work arounds include using a MicroSD card instead of USB Flash Drive and a headphone lock (see https://store.multplx.com/products/universal-laptop-security-lock-system).

HP Spectre x360 2-in-1 Laptop 14t-ef100, 13.5"

5/5
I have been using the Spectre x360 13.5 for about six months and it is the best laptop I have ever owned. I won't argue that there are laptops that suit a particular need better (e.g. gamers, video/image editors, large dataset engineers/scientists/analysts). But for the majority of us, I cannot recommend a laptop more. My usage: 40% web and streaming. 25% office productivity (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 20% programming (java, nodejs, javascript), 10% data and analytics (Excel and Octave/MatLab), 5% image or video editing. (+) + Really good performance (especially for web, office productivity and light programming) + Excellent screen (I have the OLED) with a 3:2 aspect ratio, providing extra vertical space for office documents and code editors + Keyboard and trackpad feel great + Good battery life + Beautiful and solid construction + Facial recognition and finger recognition biometrics (-) - For some of my tasks (primarily data analysis and large code builds), I could use a faster processor - Ideally, there should be one USB-C port on each side of the laptop (both USB-C ports are on the right and on USB-A on the left) - They removed the extra column of special keys on the right side (Home, PgUp, PgDn, End) I keep eyeing the evolution of the MacBook Air and MacBook Pros. However, I keep coming back to this laptop as my ideal machine at this time. I'm ambivalent about Windows vs MacOS (though I do like Stage Manager on Ventura). I dislike the notch on the MacBooks. I dislike that I lose face recognition on the MacBooks. I like that the MacBook Pro are faster, I can't notice any difference in performance with the MacBook Air.

Everything has been easy to set up. All instructions were easy to follow. The ability to use this as a tablet is also great as well.

More about these products

The HP Spectre x360 Laptop

Designed to support you and your routine, the HP Spectre x360 is all about performance and adaptation. With its four different user modes, you can use it like a typical laptop in a conventional office space, or switch to tablet mode to get out and about without falling behind.
You also get all-day battery life, so many options to customize, and top-tier security in a laptop that simply outperforms other devices. These touch screen convertibles boast a solid and responsive build quality, too, with their seamless touchpad and stylus pen interactions.

A 2-in-1 ready for anything

The latest generation of HP Spectre x360 laptops benefits from a range of dynamic features that optimize battery power and your visual experience. HP Smart Sense adjusts power expenditure based on your work habits, while in-bag detection prevents overheating when you stow your laptop for transport. The adaptive color feature automatically detects and compensates for ambient lighting, which is perfect if you want the clearest picture on video calls.
Whether for business users or just those who enjoy web browsing, the Spectre x360 line of laptops can do it all.

Four distinct user modes, same great performance

Also known as 2-in-1 laptops, convertible laptops like the HP Spectre x360 offer flexibility and multiple ways to work. Built with a strong hinge for easy conversion, the HP Spectre x360 provides access to four distinct modes. Each mode is designed for situations that may require a different approach. The traditional laptop mode is an obvious choice for conventional workspaces, while the tablet setting favors mobility and spontaneity for content creation.
You can also flip the keyboard back at a mid-angle to enter stand mode, a great substitute for vertical space when you want to stream for a long stretch or follow a recipe in the kitchen. Push your keys back a little further to enter tent mode. This setting is made for collaborations and presentations. It also helps you get the most out of perks like GlamCam, which allows you to manage your settings and appearance on camera.

Premium hardware for premium performance

HP Spectre x360 laptops are powered by the best quad-core Intel processors with stunning integrated Intel Iris® Xe graphics in each base model. Or, you can upgrade to a discrete NVIDIA® GPU to make the most of high-resolution display screen options. You can also expect the latest Core i7 CPUs, though you can customize to the i5 for a more affordable build. You can pick from Windows 11 Home (included in the base price) for general use and everyday computing, or get Windows 11 Pro for business use.
Storage and memory are critical, too. That's why we load up starting models with at least 8GB of RAM and 512GB of efficient SSD storage, so your system can keep up.

Loaded with battery life and portability features

Since mobility is at the top of your list, the HP Spectre x360 is lightweight and packed with battery life. Enjoy a built-in fingerprint reader as well as speech recognition or face recognition for login. You also get stable WiFi for a seamless wireless experience, and extensive overall connectivity with a built-in MicroSD card slot, up to two USB-C ports for accessories, USB-A port options, and an audio jack.

Extremely customizable laptop builds

One of the big advantages of the HP Spectre x360 is its deep customizability. You can upgrade most of our options with as much as 32GB of RAM and up to 2TB of SSD storage.
Each HP Spectre x360 includes a sleek backlit keyboard, and you can choose from a variety of custom finishes like Natural Silver or Poseidon Blue. Curious about extra warranty information? Don't forget to add a long-lasting Protection Plan for additional coverage.
