This is a super fast pc I loved everything about it except for one thing, it doesnt have the numeric keypad on the side, but other than that I would highly recommend it.

OMEN Gaming Laptop 16z-n000, 16.1"

Definitely a powerhouse, rocking a 280W ac adapter. I haven't really found software that stress's the CPU .. yet. Runs my games comparably to my Xbox. - Windows 11 had some hiccups causing Blue screen errors. After a brief system reset, from the cloud, all good. no more issues. Solid Hardware for the price.

I've had my Omen 17 for a month now. We use a lot of HP computers at work - most of our machines are well over 10 years old, so I figured I'd give HP a try for a gaming laptop. I had my reservations because a lot of gamers won't even consider companies besides MSI, ASUS, Razor, Alienware, etc. At the time of purchase, HP was unable to tell me what the "actual" Max RAM is for the i7-3700HX with HM770, so I'll tell you what works in mine. (64GB) 2x32GB SODIMM DDR5-5600 Kingston Fury Impact. That's right, the 5600 works fine for me with a 100mV undervolt using the HP Omen Hub settings and confirms running at 5.6GHz on both Windows 11 task manager as well as Intel XTU. It makes me wonder if the XMP memory will run faster (Kingston considers the 4800, 5200 and 5600 variants Plug & Play, the faster SODIMMs as XMP) - there's no setting in the Omen BIOS rev05 to enable/disable XMP, nor is there any indication from ark.intel that the i7-13700HX is XMP compatible, or at least, not at this time. To be fair, I purchased the Omen 17t-ck200 model for both gaming and for editing photos and videos, mostly for editing. I like the 1920x1080 screen for both. At max resolution and quality gaming settings, it's rare that I'll exceed the 144Hz refresh rate for AAA games, so the lower resolution display is a good fit for the GPU in my opinion. There's plenty of ports for my external drives and additional monitors, the fit and finish of both the laptop and the power supply is nice and it's a powerful system. I will be upgrading the internal 512 SSD with most likely 2xSN850x WD_Black NvMe 4TB drives. No regrets, well, maybe one - the 4 zone RGB keyboard I have is really nice, but I'd bet the per key RGB keyboard is even nicer. I highly recommend this upgradable Apple-eater;)

What is a gaming laptop?

Though gaming laptops and ordinary laptops may feature the same clamshell form factor, it’s what’s on the inside that sets the two apart. Gaming laptops are specially designed to accommodate the demanding hardware specs of today’s most popular gaming titles.
Gamers require beefed-up processors, graphics cards, storage capacity, and RAM capability to load up all of the extraordinary adventures that await on their desktops.
In essence, gaming laptops are master machines supremely engineered to deliver consistently powerful performance without any lag. A great gaming laptop can play the most processing-intensive games at fast, uninterrupted speeds, while giving you stunning visuals, responsive feedback, and none of the frustration sometimes associated with such heavy computing.

What should you look for in a budget gaming laptop?

1. Processor

Think of the computer processor (CPU) as the brain of your laptop. The more intelligent the brain, the more capable the machine. When it comes down to performance, the processor has the largest impact on the potential of your PC. On you hunt for the perfect budget gaming laptop, be sure to do your fair share of research on the type of processor that best suits your needs.
HP gaming laptops feature two primary types of processors; AMD® and Intel®. Both have shining reputations within the gaming community, so you can rest assured knowing whatever choice you make is a great one.

2. Graphics card

Video game graphics have become such an important part of the gaming experience that the PC buying process has evolved around prioritizing graphics cards above the vast majority of other important specs. HP’s collection of budget gaming laptops are home to highly-lauded NVIDIA® GeForce® graphics cards, bringing your favorite fantasy worlds to vibrant, crystal-clear life.

3. Price

No matter how big or small of a budget you’re working with, price matters. Though gaming laptops can teeter into prices that are well over 1,000, HP gives you access to all of that gaming goodness for an affordable price. Our budget gaming laptops start at $650 and range higher with more impressive specs and offerings.
