How to find your product or serial number.

The product number (sometimes called P/N, S/N, or product SKU) always ends in #ABA

1) Keyboard shortcut (For Laptop and Desktops) :

  • Laptops - Press the FN + ESC keys.
  • Desktops - Press the CTRL + ALT + S keys
After a few seconds, the information should appear in a window int the center of your screen or in the task bar as a clickable blue HP icon that opens the window.

2) Label (For Laptop, Desktop and Printers):

  • Laptop/Desktop – Look for a product information label located on the back or side of your PC, inside the battery compartment, or under the back cover of your laptop.
  • Printer - Search your printer for a number labeled as Serial Number, Serial No, S/N, or SN. The number is printed on a label. You might need to open the ink cartridge access area or scanner lid to reveal the label. Use a magnifying glass to help find and read the serial number.

3) If you need further assistance, you can call support at 877-232-8009.

Your proof or purchase must include this information:

1) Purchase date

2) Purchase location (vendor)

3) Estimated delivery time or delivery confirmation

How to find your order number

Order numbers typically begin with “H” on HP.com and can be found on your receipt or order confirmation.

Acceptable proof of purchases are a receipt that shows:

1) Date of purchase 2) Where product was purchased 3) Estimated time of delivery or delivery confirmation.

Please use one of these file formats: tif, jpeg, png, gif, pdf or bmp.
