Disclaimers

The information contained herein is subject to change without notice. The only warranties for HP products and services are set forth in the express warranty statements accompanying such products and services. Nothing herein should be construed as constituting an additional warranty. HP shall not be liable for technical or editorial errors or omissions contained herein.

  1. There are two offset options available: HP’s Carbon Emissions Sync To the Door Service option covers carbon offsetting of material extraction, component and product manufacturing, and product logistics. HP’s Lifecycle Service option includes everything in the Carbon Emissions Sync To the Door service, plus device usage emissions over a four-year lifecycle for commercial HP notebooks and mobile workstations, and a five-year lifecycle for commercial HP desktops, displays, and workstations, including end-of-service for eligible devices.
  2. Lifecycle assessments (LCA) are validated by a third-party to conform to ISO 14040 and ISO 14044 and are used by HP to understand the total carbon footprint for HP personal systems products. Using this data, along with the information unique to each customer (e.g., product ship-to location, product portfolio), we estimate the total carbon emissions for a customer’s fleet. HP prepurchases and retires carbon offsets, procured through Climate Impact Partners who certifies HP’s Carbon Emissions Sync Services in accordance with Climate Impact Partners Protocol. Please review this document for complete details. Please review this document for Article 12 details.
  3. Product-use GHG emissions intensity describes the performance of our portfolio, taking into account changes to product mix and business growth. HP product-use GHG emissions intensity measures per-unit GHG emissions during anticipated product lifetime use. These values are then weighted by contribution of personal systems and printing products to overall revenue in the current year. These emissions represent more than 99% of HP product units shipped each year, including notebooks, tablets, desktops, mobile computing devices, workstations, and displays; HP inkjet, LaserJet, DesignJet, Indigo, Scitex, and Jet Fusion 3D printers; and scanners. Although HP updated its carbon footprint calculation methodology in 2021, we continue to calculate this metric using the original methodology, for comparability with past years.
  4. The Sustainability Report is available approximately 10-14 business days following the close of each calendar quarter and reflects offsets based on the Carbon Emissions Sync for Computing Services registered during that period. Please ensure the Carbon Emissions Sync for Computing Collection Point (CP) is registered using the standard CP registration process.
