Received a damaged printer
Thinking this was a good deal, I bought this printer. I received it fairly quickly, set it up according to instructions, and it immediately started making loud grinding noises. I Upon further inspection, the machine was broken in several places which may or may not have made the noises. Either way, it was damaged beyond use when I received it. Returning the item was fairly easy other than the hassle of having to take it to Fed Ex.

Frustration
I purchased this model since I have this printer for home use and love it. However, I didnt realize I bought a refurbished model. I cant move forward with set-up because one of the ink cartridges wouldn't snap in. I tried a cartridge from my other printer, and it worked, biut the message on the printer said i needed to use the set-up cartridge. After spending 30 minutes in finding a way to contact someone and then almost an hour on the chat feature where i told her its an issue with the cartridge, she concluded its an issue with the cartridge and she'll send another. Additionally, the front panel doesn’t snap into place easily without some wiggling. I feel frustrated that getting assistance was so challenging.

Feeder jam at power on, broken right hinge front
I just powered it on and right of the bat it displays feeder jam. There's no paper, just starting setup. Right hinge on cover does not latch, too.

Not Worth Installing
I HATE it. If I could afford it, I would junk it and buy a Canon as I had previously. Your "Instant Ink" is a scam. I suddenly cannot print - though your website says I am enrolled in Instant Ink. I tried to discontinue it because you never sent me ink and I was out. So, I bought some from your website. Now it says I don't have "Instant Ink" ink cartridges! I just want to print, that is all. I am 71-years-old and disabled. I don't need this.

Very versatile and reliable printer. Great for small business or personal use.
This is my second HP8035 printer. The first one met its demise by my daughter spilling her soda / pop drink on the AFT which gummed up the internal mechanisms way too far into the printer to clean or fix. So I liked that model so much I went back to HP to see if there was another. Yes! I found a refurbished HP8035e! Setup was a bit time consuming (7.5 hours over two days) as they no longer send the setup disk with the printer. Now you much either scan the QR code if you want to use the option to print using your phone or go to a site to download the software for desktop / laptop use. The much needed file(s) refused to download.
The printer itself is working exactly as expected. This all in one printer is great for small businesses also and takes up so little space compared to previous HP all in one printers I have had. Print from off site (you will be assigned an email address specific to your printer, scan to the computer / laptop or email address and fax as well. Printing /scanning and faxing is fast with clear fonts in color or B & W.

Does the automatic document feeder allow 2 sided scanning?
Thanks for your question! The HP OfficeJet 8035e is unable to do automatic 2-sided scanning. It must be done manually with this printer.

Will this printer print on 12 mil. photo paper? I can find weights, but nothing about thickness.
Thank you for your question! This HP OfficeJet 8035e Pro All-in-One is compatible with 60 to 75 lb (photo) paper. 75-pound photo paper is 11.8 mils thick. 12 mil thickness is close but you should be fine. Make sure to only load the paper tray about 50% to full for best results.

does the 8035e have a usb port?
Hello. Thanks for your question. There is a USB port on the back of this HP Officejet Pro 8035e printer that would allow you to connect to a computer with the USB A to B 2.0 cable. The USB cable is not included. This printer also has a front USB port that allows you to scan to a USB flash drive or print photos from a USB flash drive.
