Well worth the cost!

Can't recommend this printer
This printer prints beautifully, quietly and quickly, and handles 2-sided printing extremely well. It also scans quickly and accurately. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi connection keeps dropping, so that almost every time that I print or scan I have to turn off the printer and turn it back on. If you don't mind doing this, you may be very happy with the printer, but I have found it annoying and frustrating. I have made four calls to customer service, the first three taking around an hour, and the last over two hours (all including a fair amount of time on hold and getting shuttled from one person to another). Although the representatives on the phone were friendly and courteous and were clearly trying to help, the problem was never fixed, so I'm still turning off the printer and turning it back on (a process that takes a couple of minutes) almost every time that I want to print something,

Ny 3rd year with my HP 3301 sdw laser printer
These are a great printer. Hook up-just plug it in and tell it your internet, it finds your PC and you are off. Photo framing quality! But, you need HP toner cartridges with the chip - it makes a difference. I tried cheap toners, not nearly as good, but HP quality costs. The High Yield toners are almost the cost of a new printer, which I just did, yep, bought a new printer vs just toner. It's worth it!

Good print quality, software should be easier to use
I bought this printer for home use. The speed and print quality are excellent. Unboxing the printer was easy, and I downloaded the driver from HP.com. I print on standard 8.5 X 11 plain white paper with little or no graphics. My daughter prints on different types and sizes of paper. When she prints, the printer has frequently tried to print to tray 1 (manual feed tray). We went through the settings menu several times, and all of the settings appeared to be correct- auto-select tray, etc. Eventually it printed to Tray 2, but we are not sure what changed. The second issue is that the menu display prompts with every paper change are a hassle and not intuitive. Finally, we had a couple of occasions when the printer indicated a paper jam, but there was no paper in it.

Flimsy, Noisy & No Auxilary Paper/Envelope Tray
Long-time user and big fan of HP, but unfortunately gotta say, for the first time ever, I was genuinely disappointed with this printer. First, because it just felt kind of "flimsy" coming out of the box, at least by HP standards. As aresult of which, it's relatively creaky and loud when printing or scanning. But also because I was shocked to find that there is no "auxilary" paper tray, which I've never seen an HP printer without. I print a fair amount of envelopes and legal-size paper, and instead of the usual fold-down tray, it has something resembling a "mail slot" on the front into which you have to feed paper and envelopes one sheet at a time. Has I recognized this aspect before purchasing, I would not have.

Reliability and Ease
Setup was very simple! Even an 80yr old, like me had no problem with the printer and its functions. Truly a "shake the box" installation. Access changing cartridge's is simple also. I have purchased quite a few printers in the past 30 yrs, and this is one of, if not, the most reliable printer I have owned. As a matter of fact, I have one at my winter home, as well as my summer residence! And NO, I do not work for HP! lol

Good printer
So far so good. I’ve only had the printer scanner for about a month. It was easy to install all the programs worked with. It is Wi-Fi enabled, and all the hardware inside my house that can print works on it. It’s a sturdy piece of gear. The packaging kept the printer safe.

Replacement
New Printer arrived BUT without ability to install WIFI & after several attempts by several of your tech support; was decided to ship a replacement, which upon receipt turned out not to be a new printer like what I had purchased But You decided on your own to ship me a refurbished one. It's working but I could have probaby purched a refurbish one at a lower cost than what I had originally PAID. So much for positive custome service.

Don't go cheap. Pay the extra $ and be satisfied.
You ever hear you get what you pay for? My previous HP printer/scanner was cheap. Around $149 made out of recyclable plastic. My 3301 is a Cadillac ! Fast and flawless !!! I took my old printer to the farm and shot it with my shotgun. Very satisfying.

Printer seems to work fine. Wouldn't print pdf's with images from main computer. HP support was worthless. Almost returned it, but tried Grok first. Recommended turning off EasyColor and working now.

Love my HP color LJ Pro!
My old HP color laser printer finally bit the dust. In looking for a new one, I explored several, but felt that HP has the best products and great customer service. Usually people go directly to Amazon to order their items, but since the line below the item title in Amazon states: Visit the .... store, I did exactly that for two HP products: My One-piece table top HP Computer (saved $250 from the Amazon price!!!). Then I did the same for my color laser HP printer (price was the same). When I called HP, their sales dept. showed me how to compare features on the item I needed with several other of their models, he worked with my budget and I bought my current LJ Pro. WOW....what a great find. It not only prints (B/W and color), but it scans AND copies! All in one unit. And for the price I paid for my old HP laser 8 years ago. I was quite excited and when the printer came, my computer guy set me up (even he was impressed with the unit). So glad I found this unit and it has saved me several recent trips to the local library for copying and scanning. Thank you HP!

Great printer with one exception
The printer has worked beautifully with the exception that there was only enough toner for about 120-140 pages of printing/copying before the printer wouldn't work and the warning said printer toner "below very low". All 3 colors were "very low" so all the starter packs are truely very limited. I didn't think they would be that limited. I would recommend that HP make it clear in their boxed information with the printer to immediately get extra toner. I happened to get an extra black toner and that worked fine to get the printer up and running again so we have some chance to get all three of the color toners. We paid more for the color toners than the printer. (black Friday sale). So far it IS a great printer printing-wise so I still rank it a 4 even despite this inconvenience and unhelpful introduction.

HP Refurb seems as good as a new item.
This HP refurb performs flawlessly and looks like new. Buying it on eBay directly from HP allowed me to use money that had accumulated from eBay sales which was very handy. When I did need tech support the agent seemed unaware there was an HP store on eBay and initially said I had no coverage and took some time to familiarized himself with the warranty and support program before helping me. Then he suggest NOT buying HP products from the HP eBay store.

Good print quality. Plug and play setup. Output from printer and document feeder both need to deliver the documents above the try for easier pickup. Tray 1 is easy to feed special paper, i.e. envelopes, card stock, legal, etc.

Excellent Printer
The printer does an incredible job on all tasks that I need it to do. It is all it was promised to be. The person I spoke with was extremely helpful in helping me with all my questions about the printer and making sure that I got all the supplies I needed. It was an easy set up once the printer arrived. I had it within a few days of placing the order. This printer replaced an HP printer that I had for at least 15 years. The quality of the printer I replaced was the reason why I knew I wanted another one from the same brand. I am confident that I will be very satisfied with my choice!

I upgraded my HP Office Ink Jet to HP 3301sdw Laser Jet printer and I couldn't be happier.
Easy setup to my PC via WiFi. I'm almost done with the starter ink cartridges that came with the printer. I know it's going to be expensive to replace but I needed a more powerhouse quality printer for my needs.
Customer service via "chat" (I prefer to text) was great. All my questions were answered and I felt good about my purchase because of that. Also, when the chat is complete, you have an option to save the chat for future reference.
All my laptops, printers, and PC's are HP. As long as they continue to produce quality products and maintain their customer service, they'll have a customer for life.

Printer arrived damaged and HP will not make good on it
Printer arrived with a cracked paper feeder tray. There was no damage to the shipping container and the printer was snuggly packed in styrofoam inside the box, so it was an obvious quality control failure. After spending several hours on the phone with HP customer support, I was told that they could not send a replacement tray, and that I needed to ship the entire printer back before a replacement could be shipped. I could not be without a printer, so I finally convinced the agent to ship the new printer and then I would return the damaged one. There was also a hassle over the price since the original purchase had received a Black Friday discount that could no longer be honored for the replacement printer, thus incurring an additional $100 in cost. I finally convinced the agent to agree to charge the difference but issue a credit for the difference once the damaged printer was received back at HP and inspected. I thought that the matter was resolved, but now HP is not shipping the replacement printer. It was due to be received by 12/25/2025 but now at the time of writing this review (01/01/2026), it has not even been shipped and I cannot get an update on the shipping status.

I am very happy with the print quality and speed ... would be happy to write a nice review EXCEPT it seems impossible to actually talk with someone at HP to find out how to return my previous HP printer which they might want to put a print head in and re-sell or how to return my unopened ink.
I tried to contact someone when I needed printer help, but haven't found a way to reach them ... and a chat with AI is not acceptable.
