Perfect high quality Color LaserJet for small office/home office.
Bought this to replace a comparable but much older HP CP2025dn. The M455dn is a very nice color laser printer that is enterprise quality yet is priced reasonably enough for a small office/home office. Keypad makes it easy to access the embedded web server to set a static IP address on your network and configure many other settings as well. Tip: enable IPSEC on the printer so that logging onto the embedded web server via a browser and https: does not ask you to bypass the requirement for a valid certificate. This printer is quiet, fast, and reliable. It has 1.25 GB of RAM for storage of large or multiple jobs.

firmware problem?
When I first received this printer it had all kinds of problems such as taking 40 minutes to actually print something and well as papers printing on opposite sides. My hands were tied and I could not work due to all the problems with this printer. I contacted HP support and they said it needed new "firmware." After the new firmware was installed, the problems disappeared. It is working fine now but very disappointing to have a new printer have so many issues from the very beginning.

Econ mode is too much
As business we need to have it on always. It is always a delay, sometimes Windows can't connect back to the printer because printer was sleep. We should be able to disable this ECO mode completely.

Not a Wireless Printer
Description said it was capable of wireless printing but its not unless you buy a gadget to hook up to it to make it a wireless printer. Returned and bought an actual wireless printer.

Wanted to point out to Please Ignore the 1 Star review as this is COMPLETELY misleading. HP should remove this comment as the person who posted didn't read the description or ask questions prior to purchasing. It states Connectivity OPTIONAL, not included
Hello Phillip and thank you for pointing this out! The HP Color LaserJet Enterprise M455dn does not come with built-in wireless but wireless is possible when pairing this printing with an HP JetDirect wireless device. This does feature built-in ethernet as well. Thanks for being an HP Customer!

I'm confused can this hand media type card stock 65lb?

This HP Color LaserJet Enterprise M455dn printer can handle the following media weights: Tray 1: 60 to 176 g/m² (up to 200 g/m² with postcards and HP Color laser glossy photo papers); Tray 2: 60 to 163 g/m² (up to 176 g/m² with postcards, up to 200 g/m² HP Color laser glossy photo papers): optional Tray 3: 60 to 163 g/m² (up to 176 g/m² with postcards, up to 150 g/m² Glossy media); Automatic duplexer: 60 to 163 g/m².
We use the g/m² measurement because it is a more universal way to measure paper weight.

How does the hp color laserjet enterprise m455dn do with labels? We have a business where we print a lot of labels for the product so I would like to know can this printer handle a good load of different types of labels.
The HP Color LaserJet Enterprise M455dn will be great with labels. As most labels are 28lb paper weight and the recommended paper weight maximum of this printer is 52lb.
