Simple speakerphone, good audio, needs update
I have both the Poly Sync 10 and Poly Sync 20. I found the Sync 20 to need a higher power USB port because its internal battery does not charge well on a non-powered USB hub. In contrast, the Sync 10 is a simple plug-and-play speakerphone that runs only on USB power. The sound quality is good and the EQ is adjustable with the Poly Lens desktop app. The microphone quality was also good and did not pick up any echo reverb that I have experienced with other brands. One negative I found is that the hardware microphone mute button does not sync with Webex's software mute button on a Macbook Pro running macOS Sequoia. However, on a Windows 11 PC, I did find the hardware mute button to properly sync mute with Zoom. I am disappointed that Poly Lens desktop did not find any firmware updates available for the Poly Sync 10. It appears that the firmware on the Poly Sync 10 is older and there have not been any updates that might address the mute synchronization issue.

Not what I expencted
First of all I was surprised that my "bundle" did not include either a speaker or microphone. Then I was surprise that I had to spend $100 for a speaker. The HP $39 and $49 speakers did not work on my system.
The product: seems to have too much bass and I can't determine how or if there is any way to adjust.

Can I answer a call with a softphone client and communicate via the speakerphone? Or must I answer via the speakerphone for it to be active?
Thank you for your question! That would depend on the softphone client being used. Most softphone clients will allow you to answer the phone via Bluetooth connection which would connect with this Poly Speakerphone. Contact your softphone client support team for requirements for connection options.

Will this connect to my mobile phone by bluetooth as well?
Thanks for your question. This model does not support Bluetooth. It is a wired speaker with built-in microphones.
