When I installed the ink cartridges, a message came up on the printer screen that these cartridges had been refilled. Obviously, not new. When I buy a new product, I expect all parts to be new, unless notified beforehand.

Rated 2 out of 5 by MikeK500 from 8710 / 8715 Printer Pluses: Uses very little ink compared to other HP printers I have owned. Great features. Very few paper jams. Negatives: Everything else. Goes offline constantly, goes to sleep and won't wake up, will not hold the wifi connection while all other devices such as HP laptop work, after awhile it just starts flashing error message to turn off. Customer service have been great and worked hard to help but have not resolved the issues. To use it I have to turn it on, reboot wifi, print or scan then turn off. Frustrating. I have VOIP phone so I can't use the FAX feature. Had to buy the Carepak for the extended service because warranty expired and I need HP assistance.

When  I scan a document and want to email it a message pops “ username or password is incorrect make sure both user account and password are valid “ what do I need to do?

Hello, Dean. Thanks for your question. We recommend using the HP Smart app to scan to email. You would use the scan option on the HP Smart app to share via email. To make it easier the next time, we recommend using Shortcuts. It allows you to make a Shortcut, i.e. a scanned item to be emailed to this email address.
