When your Subscription Starter Kit cartridges run low, we automatically mail you a new set of cartridges. Ink, shipping, and recycling are all included with your monthly fee.
When does billing start and how does it work?
The Subscription Starter Kit comes with 3 months of printing, up to 700 pages per month. After 3 months. you will be charged each month at the end of the billing cycle.

What is included in the HP Instant Ink Subscription Starter Kit?
The box comes with black and color Instant Ink cartridges, a prepaid recycling envelope and an enrollment flyer with a PIN code to get the first 3 months (up to 700 pages/mo.) at no charge.
What happens after 3 months?
After 3 months, you will get billed for the plan you chose to use. Plans vary depending on the number of pages you print per month. You can change or cancel your plan anytime. If you don’t know how much you print, your Instant Ink dashboard in the HP Smart app helps keep track of the pages you’ve printed for the month.
When does billing start?
With an Subscription Starter Kit, you will not be charged during the first 3 months (up to 700 pages/mo.) unless you print more than your plan pages. If you go over the page limit, you can purchase a set of additional pages for $1. Once the 3-month offer ends, you will be charged each month based on your plan.
If I use up the ink from the Subscription Starter Kit should I go to the store to get more?
Your printer lets HP know when it's running low on ink, and HP automatically ships new cartridges (at no additional cost) so they arrive before you run out—you don't need to shop for cartridges again.

How does Instant Ink work?
Choose a plan based on the number of pages you print monthly. Your monthly fee includes ink, automatic delivery and recycling. Replacement cartridges are sent when your printer tells HP you need more ink—not monthly.
How do I save with Instant Ink?
We make larger cartridges with less packaging, only ship before ink is needed, and recycle cartridges. HP passes these savings on to you and the environment. Print in colour because colour prints are the same price as black and white.

How do I pick a plan?
The best plan is based on your usage. If you don’t know how much you print, no problem, you can change or cancel your plan at any time, at no extra cost. Your dashboard in the HP Smart app5 will help you keep track of the number of pages you’ve printed for the month.
The average family uses the 100 page plan and the average small business uses the 700 page plan.
How much is HP Instant Ink?
We have plans to match all printing needs. Plans start at $0.99 for 15 pages per month and go up to $24.99 for 700 pages per month with our Ink Plans. Toner plans for Laser printers range from $1.99 for 50 pages per month to $25.99 for 1500 pages per month. All plans include ink, shipping and prepaid recycling.

What do I need to sign up?
To sign up to HP Instant Ink you need:
- An HP printer that is compatible with this service.
- An Internet connection for your printer.
- A valid email address.
- A valid payment method (for billing purposes): Credit card, direct debit, PayPal or HP Instant Ink Prepaid card*.

How soon will I get my ink when purchased online?
Once enrolled to HP Instant Ink and you have activated your ink cartridges in the Enrolment kit. Your next shipment of ink will be sent only when ink levels are low, not monthly. No need to worry, because your printer drops us a note and your next set of cartridges will be automatically dispatched3 Simply return the old cartridges with the prepaid recycling.

What if my printing varies?
Don’t worry. You can change or cancel your plan anytime.8 And there’s no annual fee. If you print less one month, pages rollover.6 If you print more, then you can purchase extra pages, sets of 10-50 pages for $1.00 (pages per set varies by plan).
What happens to my unused pages?
If you do not use all your plan pages in a month, the unused pages will be kept in your account as rollover pages.6 Ink plans can roll over 3x the number of pages in your plan (150 pages if on the 50-page plan) and toner plans can roll over 2x the number of pages (100 pages if on the 50-page plan).
Where is HP Instant Ink avaliable?
HP Instant Ink is currently available in the United States and Canada, as well as, to any customer residing in a country within the European Economic Area, Switzerland and the United Kingdom that provides a delivery address within: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Greece, Romania, Slovakia, Croatia and Bulgaria. We’re planning on expanding, so keep checking back for updates on when HP Instant Ink will be available in other countries.
There are some regions or locations in the UK that are not eligible for the HP Instant Ink program, these include: The Channel Islands (Jersey and Guernsey), Alderney, Sark, Herm and Gibraltar.

Can you opt out of HP Instant Ink?
Yes, you can opt out of HP Instant Ink. There is no requirement to use HP Instant Ink. If you sign up for HP Instant Ink, you can always cancel or change plans at anytime.8
What happens if you cancel HP Instant Ink?
If you decide to cancel your HP Instant Ink, you can go back to using HP original Standard or XL cartridges. HP Instant Ink cartridges will not work after the end of the current billing cycle in which you cancel. To continue printing after your billing cycle ends, make sure you have standard replacement ink cartridges ready to use in your printer.
How do you cancel HP Instant Ink?
You can cancel your HP Instant Ink printing plan or change plans at anytime.8 To change your plan or cancel your service, log in at hpinstantink.com/users/signin.
Can I use HP Instant Ink without a subscription?

What happens if I don’t want HP Instant Ink?

Will HP Instant Ink work without Wi-fi®?
HP Instant Ink requires an internet connection for your printer. In order for us to send you ink when you’re running low, we need a Wi-fi® connection to monitor your ink levels.
How is Instant Ink different than Original HP Ink?
HP Instant Ink is the HP ink subscription services that uses Original HP Ink cartridges. With HP Instant Ink, ink is sent to you when you’re running low so you always have new cartridges when you need them. With the subscription service, customers can save up to 50%1 on cartridge costs.

Also, with HP Instant ink, every page counts the same so you can print as many colour documents or photos as you want, they cost the same as black and white.
Does HP Instant Ink include black and colour cartridges?
HP Original Ink black and colour cartridges are included in your HP Instant Ink subscription. With an ink plan, go ahead and print in colour because colour prints are the same price as black and white.
