Why are the HP Laptop Subscription and OMEN Gaming Subscription programs ending?
The programs are being discontinued as we shift our focus toward new ways of delivering technology and support. While these plans are ending, we’re committed to making this transition as smooth and supportive as possible for you.
What happens to my current laptop?
You will keep the laptop you currently have at no additional cost. Previously, devices were never owned under the plan—the device is now yours to keep permanently.
Will I still be able to upgrade to a new laptop?
No. With the programs ending, the annual upgrade benefit will no longer be available. You will keep your current device instead of exchanging it for a newer model.
What happens to the accessories I added?
Any accessories you added are yours to keep as part of your setup. You won’t need to return anything, and you can continue using them with your laptop just as you do today.
Will my monthly payments stop?
Yes. Once the program officially ends, you will no longer be charged for monthly payments. Payments due before June 15, 2026 will apply. You will not be charged for the devices you are keeping.
Will I still have access to 24/7 support?
Yes, but only for a limited time. You will continue to receive access to 24/7 support until July 15, 2026. After that period, support will no longer be included as part of the plan.
What happens to the “tech that always works” benefits?
Features such as 24/7 support, next-business-day replacements, and annual upgrades will end with the program. After July 15, 2026, you will be responsible for any repairs, maintenance, or troubleshooting for your device.
What happens to the included 5G service?
If your subscription included 5G connectivity, that service will end on July 15, 2026. You can continue using Wi Fi® or choose to activate a data plan directly with a wireless carrier. This device is enabled to connect to Verizon, AT&T, or a T-Mobile wireless account. Will my device warranty continue?
Any manufacturer warranty that originally came with your device will remain in effect until its original expiration date. If you’d like to add additional coverage to your laptop, HP offers Care Packs you can purchase here.
Do I need to return anything?
No. You do not need to return your laptop or any accessories that were included with your plan.
Will I lose any data when the program ends?
No. Your files, apps, and settings remain on your device. Nothing will be erased or reset as part of the transition.

You can continue to reach our support team through your usual 24/7 support channels until July 15, 2026. After this date, you can use standard HP customer support options for general assistance.
