I bought this printer thinking that it would be a workhorse but instead it turned out to be a complete dud! It malfunctioned within a couple of days after I installed it…good luck getting in the phone with someone who can help you. I would find a different model or brand.

Faulty printer
Printer printed 3 pages before malfunctioning. HP sent a tech to fix and he needs other parts to fix. The printer does not work and waiting for a fix from HP. I don't know why they are not replacing the faulty printer!

Bad experience with HP refund process.
The printer delay printing. I had to wait for over 10 minutes to print. When I call the tech department, they tried to help, but the printer is not working. They could not help and suggest that I return. I was then transferred to refund department. They issued return coversheet and I dropped it off at FedEx. It has been over two weeks and I am still waiting for my refund.

Lightning fast, love it.
We run a small print shop with several enterprise level printers, and have been using the old M602s, which we have loved, but they are finally giving up the ghost. We replaced 2 of them with M611s, and could not be more pleased with their performance. SUPER FAST. We've been using them for 2 months now with no complaints. Plan to buy 2 more this summer as funds permit.

Received printer and within a week it was printing super faded jobs. Did 2 hours worth of technical support and had to return it and get a replacement. It's unfortunate, but maybe the new one will be better.

HP has fallen
Very disappointed, would rate zero stars if that were an option. We have run multiple HP laser printers for decades, it is very unfortunate the quality has now fallen so low. Cheap, flimsy plastic parts and this printer reports an unclearable jam and will not function. Support was a nightmare. Disconnected multiple times during support calls. Support techs placed me on multiple +20 minute holds, I spent over 3 hours with no satisfactory resolution and ultimately returned it for a full refund. Support is obviously outsourced to foreign call centers with very difficult to understand poorly spoken english.
Going to look at Canon printers.

Printer is ok. The print is clear and crisp and is fast. The first 2 weeks it jammed several times while using normal paper. I opened it up and wiped down the rollers and that hasn't happened again. Hopefully it was just some residue from manufacturing and i got it. It also doesn't pull from both trays as i need it to but that could be the software i use. My HP604 worked fine for many years with it so I'm still trying different things. It also has issues printing on labels. I change the paper settings and It works fine if you only do 1 sheet at a time. It jams if there's more that 2 sheets of labels in the drawer. I rate it 3 stars because of these issues and the price.

Good Printer...but...
I think this printer will be outstanding...once it start working correctly. It is taking up to 30 seconds before a page starts to print. I may have done something wrong in the setup, I don't know. The computer I'm using is only 5 months old with a new version of MS Office.

HP printer is mediocre
This printer does not come ready to print legal size. Another drawer must be purchased and added on. Additionally, our printer continuously jams in the drawer and fuser. To clear the fuser has to be removed. Given the importance on the fuser this seems like a really bad solution. We had HP 4014 and 600 printers for years and never had as many issues as we have had with the 610 in the few months we have had it.

Excellent Phone tech services,
New HP M611 Printer
Printer I found out the mandatory Serial number was not AVAILABLE in the HP system. There was no way I could just use the on line or even the VIRTUAL assistant
After some time, a few days, I called the corporate office who was able to give the proper 800 334-5144 to speak with a live tech person. Be sure to have product number & model number and yes the serial number is helpful also.
The tech lady stayed on the live phone line for over an hour to reset up the printer
Now my question is how to buy an after market or a real HP extended warranty
Purchased printer from Amazon, their product support was not helpful with any HP contact phone numbers.
Amazing how HP tech services does have their act together, though be prepared to stay on the line initially for sometime
The 800 number listed above cut the wait time considerably

Love this printer!!!
I purchased this printer for a company I work for a few weeks ago. I’m in charge of mailing out our advertisement letters each week and my old printer quit working, so I needed a new one. I really enjoy using this printer because I send out around 10,000 letters a week and needed one that was capable of printing in large quantities. Its fast, efficient, and capable of getting the printing jobs done quickly. If you need a printer for large printing jobs this is the one to get!!!

Good machine
We are very happy with the machine...but not with the help we got from HP. We were told we would have the paper trays we required (and were shown in the on-line picture). When we got the machine....we didn't have the paper tray we needed. Cost us another $300! Staff should be trained better.

Poor Quality Machine

No compatible toner!
We ran out of our includes 147A toner and ordered a new 147X one and it does NOT fit without dismantling the feeder tray and removing a piece. Then once installed the software in the printer does not recognize the new toner. Had technician out and he spent 2 hours trouble shooting and end result is they are having to send out another 147A. HP website clearly lists 147A, X and Y versions and no instructions included with new cartridges to dismantle the feeder tray. Poorly thought out release of a new product.

The bad rating is because of HP Sales, etc.,
Called and ordered but did not get what I thought and was led to believe I was getting. No manual or anything telling you how to work this and after paying a lot of money to have installed and several people later found out why it would not do what it was supposed to do. HP was told what I wanted and even after it arrived and had to have HP Technical re set it up, the issue of why and how to use my "Printer, Copier" was skirted around and I was not told the truth. I let everybody know up front I WAS NOT A TECHIE. I do not know really if this is a good printer or not. After almost a month finally got it to print but have no idea what this machine is capable of.

NOT a replacement for an M601
We have had several M601s in service for a long time. No longer supported or available obviously.
The M608 is not a replacement for these units. It is not as robust, jams if you look at it wrong, and the output tray won't hold legal sheets - they just fall out the front.
We intended to use this as our pick ticket printer in our warehouse. It failed miserably. It will not print label stock without jamming. You can only add about 1/3 of the tray full of stock or it will jam. It failed in just about every way.
I repaired the old M601 and put it back in service. The new M608 is now sitting on a shelf.
I ended up finding a dealer that had some new old stock of M601 printers and bought a few from them.
Why the constant change? None of the components are the same. None of the replacement parts. The toner is different. Fail fail fail.

Doesn't store legal size paper.
We have a busy office and have happily owned several HP Enterprise printers with large auxiliary paper feeders. Our normal operation has been to store legal size paper in the standard paper feeder and letter size in the auxiliary feed. We were caught by surprise when this model arrived and could only store legal size paper in the standard feeder with the door ajar and sticking out the front of the machine by about 3 inches. HP says the only fix is to buy yet another paper feeder for $250.00 and adding about 4 more inches to an already tall unit. Additionally, our unit was printing smudged documents out of the box. We are currently working with support to fix this problem. So far we are disappointed to say the least.

Very dependable printer.
I bought this printer to replace another HP LaserJet printer that had given us 10 years of heavy duty printing without a glitch so it was a no brainer to continue buying HP brand laser printers. Value purchase
I have always bought HP printers. This is the fifth one I have purchased and they always give me good service. I use them in my tax practice and run about 600 pages a day for about 10 weeks. Well above the max per month for sure. I believe that the model M607 I purchased will handle the load for the next 3 to 4 years without any problems.
