Rated 5 out of 5 by Firstfives from New Desktop Great price and fully equipped with all the options I was looking for in a desktop. I have had several HP computers and enjoyed each one. It's great having the most up-to-date technologies.

Rated 3 out of 5 by LP in CA from Too many programs There are many “features” to be deleted or turned off. I am not tech-savvy, and only need a simple machine. This one automatically saves my documents to the cloud — NO! Automatically suggests how to compose documents —NO! Had to disable many things. Had to subscribe to extra cost version of Microsoft 365 to be able to properly use Excel & Word! Very difficult/almost impossible to transfer documents from my old HP Laptop. Product description on website did NOT state that this computer did not come with a webcam or speakers; had to purchase in addition after the fact. Luckily, I did not have a Zoom mtg for a few weeks! Summary: irritating to use. I don’t want Microsoft to force me to do things its way, rather than my own way. By the way, HP Smart Friend is not very helpful in trying to help with setup.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Good computer The function of this computer has been very good. I would have preferred a different look to the case but it is functional. I am not happy that moving files from my old computer is so difficult with Windows 11. It tries to steer all your data to the cloud. I do not want it on the cloud at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Eduardo 77 from Great Value! I bought this HP machine because it provided the options I wanted at a reasonable price and it was immediately available. It has, thus far, been as I expected it to be. Setup was easy and presented no issues. My purchased software was readily installed and functions as it is designed to.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Name Withheld By Request from HP Pavilion Desktop TP01-3055xt OK, my last few desktops have all been either DELL computers or computers that I built myself. But, I decided to give HP a try, since I did own a HP laptop some years back that was a pretty decent laptop... Here's what I like about this computer... The dual drives, 512 GB SSD for the boot/main and the 2 TB HDD for the data drive. I was skeptical about SSD units at first, until I got a laptop a few years back that had one in it, and I really like how fast it boots up and loads programs. I like the idea of storing my data on a conventional HDD. So this is a really good setup for that. I also like how I upgraded my processor and RAM from my previous unit. I went from a Core i5 to a Core i7, and from 12 GB RAM to 16 GB RAM. I liked how when I initialized this computer, it automatically loaded my boot screen graphic and desktop wallpaper directly from my Microsoft account. I did not know it would do this. Nice little surprise. I had to really search for a desktop, at an affordable price, that still has a DVD/CD writer in it. For some reasons, computer manufacturers seem to think no one wants these anymore, but there are still plenty of us who do. One thing though... the chassis of this computer would have allowed for a horizontally mounted drive. I just don't understand why almost all manufacturers are going to these vertically mounted drives. I get it on the "thin" chassis computers, but as I said, on this unit, it could have easily have been a horizontal mount. But, at least I have an optical drive. I use it all the time, everything from installing older software to ripping my music CDs into iTunes to be later transferred over to my iPhone. I also use the drive for various purposes when making musical productions in my recording studio. Frankly, it wouldn't hurt my feelings if they still made desktops where you could have TWO optical drives in them. I haven't had this computer long enough to really tell how I'm going to like Windows 11 yet, but I'm trying to get used to it. As expected, I found some of my old software doesn't work at all under Win 11, but I was actually surprised as to how many DO work with this new OS. I use a number of pieces of software that is no longer under development and have not been updated in quite a few years. A couple things I would have liked to have seen changed about this computer... First off, I am not fond of the white case. I never liked that "bone" color that computers all were back about 30 years ago, and was glad when they started going to black or darker grey cases. I wish HP had offered this unit in a darker color such as that. I wish they'd put a couple more USB ports on the rear. Yes, I know there's a bunch on the front, and I wound up having to put my wireless mouses USB receiver on the front of the computer, instead of the back, because I have other devices already using all the ports in the back. I also wish they'd have offered this computer with a discount if you didn't want the mouse and keyboard that came with it, because as I expected, they were both unusable. I really wish the computer manufactures would go back to the kind of keyboards you used to get 20 years ago, with the full size keybeds, with adequate spacing between the various groups of keys. And the older "clicker' keyboards were far easier for someone who knows how to touch type to use. I guess for people who don't know how to type, it may not matter, and maybe this is the user base they are aiming for... but the first thing I did was go out and get a gaming keyboard, because it feels like an older keyboard, and also had backlighting (not to mention it does random color patterns, which is kinda cool too). Here's the kicker... I don't play games! I just liked the look, feel and action on the gaming keyboard. There's not a whole lot of useless software on the computer. Finally computer makers decided to stop giving you those bloated packages of software you'd never use, but apparently Windows always has the trial version of Microsoft 365 (which has Word, Excel, etc in it). I have never used Microsoft productivity applications, so I just skipped the setup on all that stuff. I've been a die-hard WordPerfect user for decades, and don't plan to ever change. My old version of WP has worked on every computer I've had for many years. Until it stops working, I will use that version. Not crazy about the look and layout of Windows 11. I found some videos online that showed me a couple ways to change a couple things to make it more similar to Windows 10 and prior. One of the main changes was moving the on screen start button back over to the left, where it belongs. Unfortunately, there's no way to change the rest of the start menu back to where it looks like the older versions of Windows, without installing third-party applications, and I've read that you often get software conflicts with those apps when Windows does future updates. So, I guess I'll just have to get used to doing some things a little differently with Win 11. Overall, I like the computer, aside from the few things I mentioned. I found it to be a much better value for the money when compared to a similarly setup computer from DELL. A few laptops back, I had a HP at one point, and I remembered it being a pretty good laptop, so I'm hoping this HP desktop will be a good one too.

Does the pc support me putting an internal dvd or blu-ray drive of my own?

Can second 1tb Ssd be added  instead of the HHD and does both  dvd writer  +-  and Ethernet connection available

You could replace the HDD with a SSD, but there is not a current build that comes with that setup. This does come with a DVD-RW and an ethernet port.

Does this computer have an optical drive or not. You do not list it but several reviews say it has one

    Asked by: Pacman9
I bought the HP TP02-3055xt direct from HP on Aub 7, 2022 and mine came with a dual layer DVD read/write mounted vertically at the upper left side of the front of the case. Inside the case, there is room to add another HDD or similar and there are two open PCIe slots (one the long plug, one the shorter plug)

If i bought this tower would your company install windows 11 if i asked for it instead of windows 10 64

    Asked by: Kaylasmomma_1958
I had the same experience. PC came with Windows 10 Home Edition (64-bit). During the setup the PC upgraded to Windows 11. However, I wanted a clean install. I've had some issues with the Realtek PCIe adapter and loss of internet requiring a restart. After everything is done in setup, the BIOS and Adapter had updates that I only found on https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-pavilion-desktop-pc-tp01-2000i/2100367767/model/2100405249 and had to search specifically for Windows 11 drivers here https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-desktop-pc-tp01-2000i/2100367767/model/2100405249. Overall, it's a small footprint desktop with satisfactory performance.
