Can I download microsoft word, excel, etc onto laptop for my children to use for school?

Hello Jessica and thank you for your question! According to the Microsoft Office website, you can’t install the Windows or Mac desktop versions of Microsoft 365 or Office 2016 on a Chromebook. The Android versions of Office, Outlook, OneNote, and OneDrive are not currently supported on a Chromebook.

Thank you for your question! The Chrome OS updates should not greatly affect the storage space on the HP Chromebook 11a-nr0047nr. Memory storage can be easily expanded by inserting an SD card or by using a USB memory drive as well.

Proposition 65 requires businesses to provide warnings to Californians about significant exposures to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. These chemicals can be in the products that Californians purchase, in their homes or workplaces, or that are released into the environment. This HP Chromebook can include lead (used in solder on circuit boards), cadmium (used in some batteries), or lithium (used in the batteries that don't contain cadmium.) Virtually any electronic device will have at least one of these materials.
