The HP32 Black tank ink is pigment based -- but the HP31 color tank inks are dye based. Are there color tank inks that are pigment based? Pigment based ink is a requirement for my waterproof paper use.
These are the only versions of HP inks for the HP SmartTank printers.

These inks say dye-based but when I went to purchase elsewhere, I was told that the HP 5102 came with pigment based ink and I would have to do a cleanout if I wanted to use dye-based ink. Can you confirm if these is the exact original ink?
Hello. Thanks for your question. The HP 31 70-ml Magenta Original Ink Bottle (1VU27AN) is a dye-based ink. The HP 31 magenta ink bottle is compatible with the HP Smart Tank 5102 All-in-One Printer. The HP 32XL black ink bottle, is pigment based which is also compatible with the same bottle. As long as you use the HP 31 and 32XL ink bottles, there is no need for a cleanout.
