HP’s use of Standard Contractual Clauses

HP complies with laws on the transfer of personal data between countries to help ensure your data is protected, wherever it may be. In the absence of adequacy decisions from relevant authorities or the use of the HP’s Binding Corporate Rules (or approved mechanisms), the transfer of personal data between the HP entities and HP’s headquarters in the United States may be governed by Standard Contractual Clauses issued by the corresponding authority.

Transfers of personal data will take place in an electronic manner and through encryption. This includes transmissions by secure file transfer protocol (SFTP), transmission by email, connection via an application programming interface (API), connection to a remote server or a direct download from centralized cloud storage. The frequency of said transfers is regular and repetitive. The purposes for the transfers are aligned with HP’s business purposes, and which may include the following:

Sales activities
Product support
Order and transaction management
Products and services fulfilment
Centralized data management & analytics
HR management
Employee compensation & benefits
Employee performance management & career development
Supply chain management
Business operations
Security and site operations
Procurement & supplier management
Financial & transaction management
