Rated 2 out of 5 by Edddddie from the Poly v2 refresh of this headset is not good I bought this about 2-3 months ago after my previous v1 Plantronics Focus physically broke (after 4-5+ years of use). The build quality of the usb dongle, and the headset and electronics was great. But this v2 version has had so many corners cut. the headset constantly disconnects from the BT700 dongle during meetings, will not initialize when joining meetings (even though it appears to work). That I literally have to unplug the dongle, and turn the headset off and on 2-3 times a day, even during meetings, to get it back to working. I've updated firmware and it hasn't helped the issues much. I was so sold on the original Voyager Focus due its stability and functionality, but the new version is a poor substitute. I regret buying this expensive piece of junk.

Rated 5 out of 5 by cocochoff from Great features. Excellent quality. I used it everytime. It's easy to switch to PC or phone. Also to increase/decrease voilume, pause, forward, talk to Google assistent with a click, etc. The mic and sound are high level quality but I still found this expensive.

Rated 1 out of 5 by JoeyMas from Uncomfortable / Tech issues It's too tight and you can't adjust it very well. It's really uncomfortable to wear if you have back to back calls. I had a technical issue where it keeps going on mute for no reason. I could be mid-sentence and it just goes on mute within hitting any button or changing a setting. Tech support couldn't figure it out and had to exchange the unit.

Rated 3 out of 5 by JimmyB from Love the wirelss hands free and functionality [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've got a number of different headsets depending on what I am doing, DECT for range, full-on noise cancelling for travel and light weight for around the home. I got these as a fill in, for use with my laptop for video calls, when working away from the office or home. The big disapointment for me, is that it using USB Micro for charging, which means I have to carry around a 'special' cable for this, as everything else in my world is USB C.

When i contacted the customer service for warranty replacement- they said that a dongle is required to guarantee full functionality. This is not what is advertised and will not recommend this product

Rated 1 out of 5 by DanM from Downgrade from Focus 1 I've been using this headset for 1 year now, after using Focus 1 for ~4 years. I have to say, I'm disappointed, and I feel like it's a downgrade. I've bought the Teams certified version, yet I have issues for mute/unmute - if I unmute on the headset, occasionally Teams gets stuck in mute (so hardware unmute is done, but software is still muted). The noise cancelling is worse than in UC, previously I could do things while in a meeting (such as wash hands), and nothing got picked up - but for this, everything gets picked up in the background. And lately, I've been facing an issue with multiple bugs on the software - the worst one of them is the fact that any audio providing website (such as Youtube, Spotify) gets the headset into call mode (I'm hearing the triple beep, and can mute/unmute), and there's no way to get it out of it. Would not recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TalkingAllTheTime from Upgraded from Focus UC .. initial thoughts I love my original focus UC, mostly because it gave me the ability to take my calls/teams/zoom meetings from anywhere without people knowing or hearing where I was at. I could be on a beach, walking the dog, in the office, at the home office, or in the kitchen; it didn't matter. I could hear them perfectly and they could hear me. The issue was that the battery life of the Focus UC was no longer holding up to the 8hrs + of talking and would cut off before the end of the day. So I purchased the Focus 2 after a lot of research including competitors. The price point and the good reviews swayed my decision. Initial impressions : mic is just as good. My voice does sound a little bit different but that is ok. The ANC is slightly better but no significant. In fact, I thought that the original Focus might have been better but after side by side compares the Focus 2 does seem to drown out more of the really lows and really highs... I appears to let in more mid frequencies even on high... maybe by intent. But overall, ANC is not why I bought the Focus 2. Otherwise, everything is as expected. The only down side is the controls. The focus UC had separate media controls (play/pause, forward and back) which was separate from the call/answer button. The Focus 2 removes the forward and back and requires double tapping the call/answer button. This is the same action for calling siri so it feels unnatural for me to have the same action for different functions. I haven't used it and still don't know how to go backwards yet. There is not manual and haven't found online documents yet just the getting started video which didn't go into backwards. Headset comfort, design : Great... a bit cleaner than the old Focus. My wife still thinks I look stupid. Call quality : excellent. Last Note : I did finally change (hack) the battery on the old Focus UC. The cost was super cheap compared to getting the new headset and the process did require some soldering. But otherwise it was relatively easy. So now I have 2 awesome headsets and only one set of ears. I have both on my desk... and flip between them depending on how I feel. Why... not quite sure mostly because with the new battery, my old headset has a new lease on life. I'd love to see how the Voyager Free's microphones compare to the Boom Mics on the Poly Focus 2... to see if I could go to buds (and look less stupid to my wife) but still have quality calls. Maybe one day...

Rated 3 out of 5 by product manager from Shortcomings on Mac usability and fit This is my first wireless headset for remote work. I shopped around and ultimately picked this one on price and reviews. I'm keeping it, but a couple drawbacks might help others. * The mic boom doesn't accommodate my face very well. It cuts in toward my cheek aggressively, and my cheek was making scratching noises when I smiled. It also bumps my glasses as I swing it up and down to mute, which is a feature I really want to use. The solution I came up with is shifting the mic-side ear cup forward halfway off my ear, onto my cheek. It doesn't seem to impact sound much, and the mic no longer contacts my cheek or bumps my glasses. * Use with a Mac – When I turn the headset off, I was surprised that my Mac didn't realize this and change system sound settings back to default. To get my Mac to use system speakers and mic, I have to unplug the headset's bluetooth dongle/adapter. Manageable, but not as smart as I expected.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Myster from Great product when it stays connected [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are a nice pair of headphones when they stay connected to either my phone or the laptop. My primary use is for MS Teams meetings and phone calls. I had issues staying connected as these headphones would drop me out of a meeting or a call. I did reach out to support and was guided to install the software. Unfortunately I was not able to do that as I’m on a work issued laptop and it requires admin login. We decided to connect using Bluetooth and they seem to work much better. Good: The active noise canceling on the mic is really awesome. Headband feels really comfortable Sound quality was excellent Needs consideration: The charging port is a micro USB. USB-C would have been better. Better connectivity - could be on my end

The people on the other end could hear me nice and clear. It was a little confusing on setting up... but that was partially my fault for not seeing the other card that came with it. I would totally suggest this for my friends and family.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JBarry465 from My New Favorite WFH Headset [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Voyager Focus 2 headset is a light-weight, comfortable, on-ear headset that provides fantastic sound quality and comfort for long wearing sessions. It is also incredibly easy to setup and simply entails plugging the Bluetooth dongle into your computer. Additionally, the battery is long-lasting which means less time tied down at your desk. The microphone provides great output audio quality and integrates easily with audio/video collaboration platforms. It also allows for easing muting either by pushing a physical button on the headset or by simply flipping the microphone to a vertical position. This makes it extremely easy to mute your audio when needed. I was additionally able to maintain a Bluetooth connection throughout my entire apartment. As someone who paces when they talk, this allowed me to walk laps around my home while taking calls. I was also able to multitask around the house during audio calls, without any indication that I wasn't sitting at a desk. I typically prefer over-ear headsets, but the weight and comfortably of the Voyager Focus 2 make up for the slightly naked ear. I was able to wear this headset for 6+ hours without feeling uncomfortable in the slightest. I'd absolutely recommend this headset to anyone looking for an easy to use, lightweight, comfortable, and lasting headset.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was using a wired headset for work & travel on a daily basis till I started using this wireless headset. It surpassed my expectations in clarity, ease of use and sound quality. I’m in sales and make calls to clients, have weekly zoom calls/meetings and travel often to meet clients and having this headset has been a great pleasure to use in my day to day work load and pairing it to my laptop and phone was a very easy process. It’s my 1st choice when working, listening to music, watching a movie or making calls to clients and I highly recommend this headset to anyone looking to upgrade there current headset.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jason from Excellent headset for work! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used this headset mainly for work, in a fairly busy work area. Lots of side conversations within earshot all day long. This headset has been amazing so far. The noise cancelling is great at cutting through the background noise in the office. I've had it set to the mid-range setting, and it is perfect for keeping things clear and easy to hear, but without things sounding too muffled. The sound quality is great, more than enough for typical conference calls. The quality for music and online videos is excellent, far better than most business-focused headsets. Mic quality is excellent as well. I checked with my team, and they said the voice quality is far better than in the past on a few other brands of headsets. The processing onboard blocks all those other office noises and conversations. I've only tested with MS Teams and Zoom, but it should work just as well with any other service. There is a very useful audible "microphone muted" and "unmuted" alert when you either fold the mic up to the top, or push the mute button as well, so you know when you're muted and don't need to click any other buttons. Extremely useful feature. The headset seems to hold charge very well, I've used it 4-5 hours a day for a few days now and only needed to charge once. You can connect to USB to charge while using it, so you can keep working. You also don't need any software or other programs installed to make everything work, which makes my local IT team happy. The USB drivers for the BT adapter are very non-intrusive. The only downsides are the control switches are extremely small. It's difficult to see which one is which (power, ANC, etc), but once you figure it out, it's not too bad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Moby from Voyager Focus 2 - Lives more on ears! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Review of Voyager Focus 2 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Test Environment: OS Name: Microsoft Windows 10 Enterprise Version : 19042.1889 Test Machine: Dell Precision 5540 Test Setup : Voyager Focus 2 Dell Precision Laptop Zoom desktop app Whats included: Out of the box, the wireless headset comes with micro-USB-to-USA-A charging cable, which can be used for charging the headset. Includes a USB-A Bluetooth dongle. Recommended using dongle when connecting to a PC which provides higher isolation and avoid interference. Nicely made Poly Voyager Focus 2 headset, build feels strong and sturdy and it does not have that red band plastics some wireless headsets have.Boom microphone can be swing either side. Voyager Focus 2 tested using both Bluetooth connection and paired with dongle USB-A adapter supplied with the kit Driver Installation: Took about 30 seconds to self-install the USB driver after connecting to the laptop, once succeeded notified with an audio alert on the headset Operational Process: Seamless integration with drivers and application facilitates quick connection, if its pre-installed its much faster Zoom application & MS teams application quickly picked up the device without any further customization or setup changes Performance: Best thing ever is highest comfort level when worn, these are on-ear headphones with gently pressing the ears which helps noise isolation and easy to wear all day. Found that dongle based connection is much stable without any lags or stuttering of audio compared to that of Bluetooth connection. This may be the fact of environment where channel collision might have occurred in the room where it was tested. Sound output is par at excellence, would say close to 3D nature. So its well optimized for both business meetings and personal usage to listen music at leisure.ANC at highest level is best of its performance but still there is room for improvement.Turning on ANC reduces the battery life 10 – 15% observed. Features like “Acoustic Fence” , sensors to auto answer, noise cancelling boom which you can twist up out of the way when not in use and as well rotate up also mutes .These functions really helps to run the business meetings very smoother! Overall Poly Voyager Focus 2 much improved version on the features along with redesigned mic, acoustic fence feature and ANC functions! Good for an all day headset to run the business on the go!

Rated 4 out of 5 by JoeMo from Great, but not quite perfect yet [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I should begin by mentioning that I'm coming off of a few years of using the original Voyager Focus UC, which always has been and still is a world class headset. Therefore, I had very high hopes for the updated 2nd generation. And in most respects, it did not disappoint. Here's the breakdown: - Fit: The earcups are slightly smaller in diameter with a bit more padding, making them more comfortable while still covering the ear. It weighs just a bit more than the 1st gen unit, but not by much. And the weight feels like just enough to be substantial without being bulky. - Appearance: The updated styling is definitely cleaner and more modern looking. I like the way the comfort headband extends all the way to the molded plastic trim on either side (the 1st gen had a portion of the red wire exposed). I also like that the steel band covers the full exterior from earcup to earcup. Additionally, the new boom arm looks a lot more high tech. - Controls: The power switch is familiar and easy to find, also doubling to activate pairing mode. The new location for the ANC switch is actually an improvement in my opinion. However, the playback, call, and volume controls feel like a step backwards. I prefer to have the playback and call controls on opposite sides, instead of all being combined into a panel on the microphone side. I can deal with the volume buttons being on that panel, but I definitely liked the "rocker ring" on the 1st gen better. - Setup: Just as one would expect from Poly, setup is a snap. The headset immediately recognizes the included Bluetooth dongle immediately. It's also very easy to enter pairing mode and connect to nearly any device. Likewise, the Poly Lens app for desktop and/or Plantronics Hub mobile app make settings changes and software updates super simple. - Battery life: The 1st gen had a great battery that would easily plow through even the longest of marathon meeting workdays without breaking a sweat, even when you're using ANC. The Focus 2 battery lasts even longer. While this may not seem necessary, it is nice to know that you can get a couple days of work out of this headset or travel with it for a long weekend without having to worry about finding a charger. If you're at home with a charging base, this becomes a moot point. And you always have the option to plug in the included cable and use it as a wired headset with no battery drain. - Noise cancelling: The 1st gen was great, but the Voyager Focus 2 is significantly improved in this regard. If I set the ANC to high, I can take calls or conduct meetings while my Roomba is running at my feet or while sitting in the stands of a high school pool area without it bothering anybody on the other end of the call. Likewise, I can hear them loud and clear without any significant noise intrusion. When I'm at home, I normally have music playing in the background and setting the ANC to low is enough to keep that from interfering with communication. - Sound quality: This is another area where Poly made improvements. The 1st gen was great, but the Focus 2 is definitely better. This true for both call audio and streaming media. It performs like a really nice set of Bluetooth stereo headphones. - Range: The range on this unit is fantastic and is a major improvement over the 1st gen, which was no slouch. I can move freely throughout most of my home without fear of dropping the connection and have even gone out to get the mail from across the street without it missing a beat. - Charging: If you're using the optional desktop stand, charging is a no-brainer and the stand can be had with either USB-A or USB-C connectivity. However, when you need to travel with your headset and are using a cable, you nice right away that the Focus 2 still uses a USB-micro connector, which is completely out of place in 2022. A USB-C connector would eliminate the need to carry a separate, dedicated charge cable. Thankfully, the included carrying case has a nice little pocket for the included charging cable. Overall, I love this headset and it is my new primary mode of communication. You hear what you want without outside intrusion and the same is true for your audience. Streaming media content is fantastic and this is an easy headset to wear all day without any comfort issues. I'm even considering the Voyager Office Base, which significantly boosts the range while also serving as the charge stand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by kruis from Great Headset for Work and Pleasure!!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an amazing bluetooth headset. I've used it in a noisy cigar lounge and the noise cancellation really works. It filters all of the surrounding noise which causes for a pleasant conversation experience. It works so well, you just need to use your normal indoor voice and the other person can hear you as clear as day. They could not hear the noise around me, and I mean guys were talking loud and laughing loud. Next, I tend to listen to music while I work sometimes, and the quality of the sound is clear and crisp, the bass hits surprisingly hard, and all around a great product. The battery life is pretty solid so far also.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Darren from Just what we needed to improve our dueling meeting [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this headset last week and have been using them in conjunction with my BackBeats Pro 2. The room noise has greatly diminished for those on the other end of the mic when on conference calls. The BackBeats Pro 2 are great for local ANC, but the mic still picks up a lot of room noise. With 2 of us sitting right next to each other, our conversations tend to bleed through to the other. When not an active participant, it is super handy to move the mic away from the mouth which mutes the outside world from the call.

The pairing was super easy using the bluetooth function as well as the usb dongle worked effortlessly. On e paired and using for calls or entertainment you notice the clear soumds snd voi es and also the super rich Bass. The noise cancelling feature has 3 levels (off, level 1 and full noice cancel. The comfort of the headphone earbuds are improved and very soft and the bar going across you head is padded for comfort as well.. the boom mic is a shorter version then previous models which is very welcoming and less conspicuous and sturdy..the buttons take some getting use to some do multiple functions so you have to double or triple press to perform your function, but even that works well after the 1st or 2nd time performing. The Siri/Google button works as its supose to, o erall give this and A+ and will definatly enjoy this new model.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Steve1202 from Unusable Bought this in May 2022, after using an original focus model for a few years (the battery died). After 2 months of use, I am simply tossing this in a drawer. The microphone is simply unusable. Constant complains from callers regarding the fact that one word out of three is cut off. Just unusable. Same results with the dongle or directly on Bluetooth, on Mac and on Windows, using Teams mostly, but also Zoom. I can hear everything fine however, but the price of this product is not justified by sound quality.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Customer 56734 from Save some money buy the Voyager Focus UC instead. The Voyager Focus 2 ANC low vs high settings is not much different and seem to be less effective than the Voyager Focus UC. The head band fit for the Voyager Focus 2 is rather loose even for an average size head. When leaning over to pick something off the floor, the headset will move forward due to the band not being snug. The bow of the band seems to be the cause. Even though the model says USB-C, the headset itself is still a micro-usb port. Overall the Voyager Focus 2 is a downgrade from the Voyager Focus UC in terms of ANC and head band fit. Not worth the money especially for lack of USB-C port on the headset itself.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Floyd La Mirada from Would not recommend The Bluetooth headset works well when directly connected to Windows, but is has a lot of interference when connected to the base. I have other non-Bluetooth Plantronics headsets that work with our Shoretel phones, but this base unit has echo and the connection goes in and out. I’ve been forced to use it only for meetings, as it has no button on the headset to answer calls when using it with a soft phone. Very disappointing considering the high price. Also the noise cancellation is mediocre. The mic is good though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by telcoguru from Amazing "Acoustic Fence" Feature ! After trying the Voyager 2, I'm "SOLD"! Doesn't smash the sides of your head...it's very light, and it sounds great. One of the most amazing features is the acoustic fence...but let me explain. I was at a work conference and the expo floor was LOUD and noisy, but I knew I had a work call I needed to take. I took the call via my cell phone, but used the Voyager 2 and enabled "noise cancelling" and basically walked through the very noisy conference floor on a phone call and the person on the other end couldn't hear ANY of the loud noise! Worked like MAGIC. These are pure genius.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Chibiricky from Good product, as advertised Bought it 3 months ago, and so far very happy with the product. The voice cancellation is working mostly as expected. I understand that it is impossible to filter all noise, but it does a good job in filtering most of them. I have it connected to my office desk phone, my computer as well as my iPhone, so whichever rings, I can pick up easily. This is just amazing. The reason why I took 1 star off the rating is that the mic boom is too short. With this length, I need to speak in "normal volume", just like I'm speaking with a person sitting in front of me. However, sometimes when the office is quiet, I do want to lower my volume or else the whole office can hear what I'm talking about. Once I lower my volume, since the mic is so far (about 5cm) from my mouth, the volume that the mic picks up is obviously much lower. The length of the mic boom on my previous headset C5220T was perfect in this aspect. It just reached the corner of my mouth, and even if I spoke softly, it could still pick up my voice very well. If the mic boom in the next version, Voyager Focus 3, is going to be the same length as C5220T, I would definitely buy it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by arc2 from Not worth the money I got these recently to use when having calls in an open plan office because of the noise cancelling feature. I was hoping to tune down people around me talking. They only seem to block certain types of noises but talking isn't one of them, if anything because they block other background noise the talking seems louder now. Very disappointed, was expecting more based on the price. Otherwise quality of sound is good and they are comfortable to wear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by rabscutle from Excellent comfort, sound and noise isolating mic I'm extremely happy with my Focus 2. As someone with a history of multiple concussions, the headband style makes this an ideal fit to a sensitive head. The weight and pressure are mild and it does not cause headaches for me like most headsets I've had to wear. I can wear this for hours working from home without any pain, and that is an incredible relief. The sound is fantastic, I'm able to hear every voice clearly on conference calls as well as music and video with the kind of sound you'd expect at this price. This isn't an audiophile's dream by any means, but that isn't what it is built to be. As a wireless communication focused headset, it exceeds my expectations on sound. But I may have buried the lead here. The mic is incredible. I have a very noisy home office with a heavy handed clicky keyboard partner. You can't hear them type when I'm on a call. I don't know what else to say. I've had mic after mic after mic that promised to remove sounds like a keyboard and none of them have even muted the pounding clicks at all, even from across the room. The Focus 2 on Teams and Zoom eliminates the sound entirely. My keyboard isn't exactly quiet either, and you can't hear it either. Also two puppies who can get really loud really quickly can't be heard either. Oh and people can hear me crystal clear. The overall mic experience is without peer. The included USB dongle allows me to go through my entire house, even taking the puppies out to the back porch (our office is in the front of the house). It allows for tremendous freedom. Overall, this is by far the best headset I've ever used in an office environment. The isolation and sound quality on the mic, the sound quality of the incoming sound and the fantastic comfort on my head make this mic (shockingly considering what I paid for it) worth every penny.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Leo H from Great Headset, a bit warm Great headset, just a bit warm on the ears, so would like to see options for different ear pads. For now I am saving on my hearing bill! :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by Pim_ from Great for noisy environments and working from home [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Product works great even in noisy environments. Perfect for working from home as the battery lasts for longer than a standard (8 hours) working day. Also is very comfortable to wear for long periods of time. Because of the Bluetooth connectivity the freedom of movement allows for walking around the house while in a meeting. All in all a great addition to the home office. Highly recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ryan L from So far so good! Only had it for about 1 week but very happy with performance so far. Sound is very clear, no feedback or echo like other headsets I've used and it's comfortable and battery life is very good at least for now, hoping it stays that way going forward too.

Can the headphone be hooked up to your computer for all the calls via Teams and at the same time have it connected to your phone for music via Spotify.

Asked by: Danny66
Yes, this model features Multipoint Technology which enables you to pair and connect your headset to two different Bluetooth audio devices at once. Note that you will not be able to use two devices simultaneously; instead, the benefit is that you will be able to answer an incoming phone call from either device using the headset. Why does my Voyager Focus 2 headset not work with Teams? On every other platform, the person can't hear all the backgroun noise when I speak. But on teams, they are being blasted by everything in the room. I updated firmware already.

We're sorry to hear you're having trouble with Microsoft Teams. Knowing that the microphone works correctly on other platforms helps to rule out hardware-related issues. For optimal performance: - Make sure the USB dongle is plugged directly into your computer's USB port, avoiding a docking station/splitter hub. - Go to Teams settings and make a test call. You can also adjust the mic sensitivity. If you require further assistance, please contact our Customer Care Team at: https://www.poly.com/us/en/support/contact
