First, I am an "old school" person that tends to use the KEYBOARD for maneuvering through documents and spreadsheets. The replacement of the DELETE KEY in the INS, HOME, PAGE UP, DEL, END, PAGE DOWN section of the KEYBOARD is a HEADACHE for me. Second, I like to use my power LAPTOPS as a DESKTOP REPLACEMENT. This LAPTOP does not seem to be able to BOOT without having the LID OPEN. This is a SERIOUS FLAW in my opinion.

Rated 1 out of 5 by MG8090 from Not worth the buy I bought this roughly a month ago, and it arrived just a few days back. It is fully customized, but I seem to have not gotten what I paid for. After receiving the laptop and booting it up, installing my applications, etc. I noticed a lot of performance issues. From doing basic tasks like watching Youtube, the laptop's CPU would get very hot, despite it being on hybrid mode and the fan on "Max." Additionally, I noticed that whilst playing games, the fan would also run hot, the graphics would be great but it'd cause the game to lag, and overall, the performance was lacking. In addition to performance issues, the trackpad straight up stopped working. Despite updating and reinstalling the trackpad module, it just doesn't work. I've noticed that a lot of the features I paid for in customization just aren't included and up to standards. I was extremely excited for this product as I've heard many good things, but now am extremely disappointed with the results.

Few hours after I placed the first order, I decided to upgrade the graphics card. There was no way to modify my order (only after 2 hours), so placed another order with upgraded card, with the intention to cancel the first order. They rejected my cancelation request I made right after I placed the second order. Now I had to return one of the two laptops they sent me. The restocking charge for this return is $140. I wish I did not use HP.com to order their product.

Cons: The laptop fans are very loud when playing games, the sound is terrible out of both the headphone jack and internal speakers, you cannot use the docking station to play games as it doesn't allow you to pass through the Nvidia graphics, and the device is heavy.

I spend a long time with the sales rep explaining what I needed this computer to have in order to work with the VR headsets that we were using for our project. I was told, in writing, that the computer would come with 2 usb-A ports, 2 usb-c ports, 1 HDMI, and 1 DisplayPort. The Displayport was vital to the connection between the computer and headsets. I was even given a discription from the sales rep, again in writing, of how to connect the headsets to the computer using the DP. When I recieved the computer, there were NO DisplayPorts. This computer was maxed out on almost every spec you could get on it, almost $3000, and it did not come as specified. Was very disapointed and angry. This computer was sent back.

First, the fans run more often than I would expect, and they are somewhat loud. I don't play cutting-edge games or graphic-heavy FPS, so I'm a bit surprised how often the fans run. That said, I'm okay with conservative heat management settings to protect the hardware. The second nit is that when the computer arrived I could hear it rattling around in the box. There should be a piece of foam between the laptop and the box to protect the laptop from getting tossed around inside the box.

Rated 1 out of 5 by whysodifficult123 from Pricy but Still Trash Quality I bought this laptop yesterday hoping to replace my current laptop which I use primarily for work. Upon opening up the laptop it looks nice, but as soon as you turn it on you are constantly HARRASSED with promotional offers and super aggressive marketing, especially from Microsoft to use their services which I know I do not want. Then you have to opt out of like 20 different invasions of privacy. 15 minutes later you finally get to your desktop and you are greeted with a TON of bloatware. Then you do a clean install but somehow 15-30min later there is STILL a bunch of bloatware which I had to manually delete. Then I come to see that almost all of the drivers haven't been updated so I go ahead and do that. I'm like 1-2 hours into just trying to START setting up my laptop at this point and I notice that my external hard drive isn't displayed in file explorer. No fixes offered by HP support of course. There is ZERO reason that I should be dealing with issues after buying this $1.3K golden piece of garbage. Very disappointing. Save your time and just build you own. That's what I'll be doing after returning this laptop.
