Rated 1 out of 5 by Keller B from HP Let me down BIGTIME HP rejected my original review of this PC for no apparent reason other than the fact that i was very critical of every aspect of my recent purchase. So, how about this: I have been a 30+ years supporter of HP and HP let me down on my recent purchase. Even after i wrote two previous critical reviews, they have not responded nor have they even offered a shred of apology for their clear incompetence. I will gladly look onto a Dell or Acer when I'm in the market for my next PC equipment. Good bye HP

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nate0105 from Nice desktop computer After my HP Envy desktop that was manufactured in 2012 started having issues and running slow I knew it was time to upgrade. I got a good price on this computer so I decided to purchase it. So far I’m happy with everything. The computer is very fast and handles everything that I’ve thrown at it with ease. There a plenty of USB ports for connectivity. The only thing that surprised me is that out of all of the USBs, only one of them is a USB-C. The rest are high speed USB-As. Not a big deal, just surprising. Overall I’m very happy with this computer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Mountain Dewster from Top Secret Power Switch After using the HP ENVY computer for a couple months, I am very pleased with the performance although I custom ordered with upgraded ram and graphics. Hardware could not be better. Windows 11 tends to be intrusive, as expected. The trial period McAfee is mediocre. Overall, I am very pleased with my HP ENVY PC. That said, I do have a pet peeve. The power switch is a tiny slit requiring a thumbnail to activate. Be assured you will never accidentally turn on this PC.

They couldn’t just give me a license number for reasons I don’t understand. They kept transferring me from one department to another. This went on for several days. They finally just get me a refund for Office 2024 2 weeks later. I don’t ever plan on ordering another computer again from hp.com

Rated 2 out of 5 by Anonymous from Lacks Tech Description of Available Internal and External Ports Probably a decent product, but doesn’t compare to the HP Pavillion I’ve owned for 11 years. No front lights other than Power, so can’t tell if internal storage is being accessed (like during image backup). Advertises internal PCIe expansion ports, but no way to find out what’s available on my unit. No tech info available on any of the individual front or back USB ports, or identified on the ports. Other than ads, there seems to be no tech info available for this unit on any of the HP web sites.

Rated 1 out of 5 by hoganv from Working with hp customer service Determined to be defective from hp phone tech support after multiple calls. The only option/ solution was for hp to do a factory reset that would erase all of my data that I just paid $75 for software to transfer from my old to my new that took about 8 hours. I have sent an email almost everyday for help without getting any "real help". I finally received a email response from a tech support person giving me a contact # and a tech ID # but I called for days for my call to be cut off.

Rated 4 out of 5 by DBrew from From Laptop to Desktop The transition from a laptop to a desktop computer has been a challenging experience. It is one that I knew would present a challenge. However, it was a change that I really felt was necessary to support my increased usage of my computer. There were many changes as I made this transition that I did not consider. You never think about all the devices like speakers, cameras and other accessories that you take for granted after many years of using a laptop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by GetOutside from Great Value Found a great sale price on this computer just before Christmas. It was built to my chosen specifications and delivered before the HP predicted delivery date. The PC was very easy to unpack and setup was simple. I am very happy with its compact size and it is very quiet. The performance seems quite good and is more than adequate for the photo editing for which I will be mostly be using this PC. I also added a 2TB 2.5" internal SSD, which was quite easy to install into one of the available expansion bays. All-in-all I am quite happy with my purchase and would not hesitate to purchase another HP PC in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ozzie bear from great pc, but spec is confusing. two different front views (no dvd slot) no back or inside view - back has primitive usb ports. spec says has second m.2, but occupied by comms. does not say if has internal cables - one sata data for one drive, power for 2. should say at least 4 sata connectors on mb. told only one hd, but can add 2 x 2.5 ssd. hence max storage > 2 tb. spec confuses what can be configured as opposed to what supported. 1tb m.2 ssd with two 2.5 ssd drives goes like a rocket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by The Shoe from I love it when something lives up to my expectations ! The mini desktop works great so far. It would be nice if it had a bit more space inside to allow for two 3.5 HDD's and 2 PCIe expansion slots instead of one each. But I knew that when I bought it. I was able to install two 2TB SSD in the space where one HDD would fit. So far it's snappy and I'm getting the hang of Windows 11... gradually. I separately bought a 3.5" DVD external USB3 enclosure so I can access DVD's and BluRay disks via a USB port. Seems to work well so far also. The Nvidia 4060 is driving my three 27" monitors without issue. I'm not a gamer so I can't speak to response in that area. Love the 32GB of RAM and the quick startup from the 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD. All this coupled with the Intel i7 14 Gen CPU and the holiday sale price.. well I just couldn't pass it up !!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jon_Bearrrr from Lost of signal to the Smart TV The reason it didn't get 5 stars is that when using the HDMI cable to my smart TV I get nothing but a pic of the desktop wallpaper. It's the same with the WiFi. It worked with my old PC and currently with the wife's laptop. I would appreciate some help with this issue. I love the physical size, it's way smaller and lighter than any PC I've ever owned. And I'm getting used to the upgrade to Windows 11.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Anne from Ohio from CORRUPTED WINDOWS 11 I've purchased previous HP products online and have always been pleased with their products. I purchased this new desktop to upgrade to windows 11. However, this time, I hooked everything up, turned it on, and thought I was up and running. I used it to pair with the new HP printer that I also purchased, and while everything was updating, I received a screen message that "Windows is corrupted." I tried rebooting and all the obvious start up tricks to no avail. I had to disconnect it and reconnect the old one. I'm not sure what to do with it at this point. I had already recycled all the packaging, and it was on the Holiday so reaching anyone by phone was impossible. My new HP Envy Is now unusable.

Rated 1 out of 5 by angry in Maine from A dishonest and inefficient company When I ordered my desktop there was nothing in the specs that indicated what generation the HDMI was for the standard graphics card. It was only after I received the monitor I purchased at the same time as the drive, and I went online to purchase a cable, that I found that there were different levels of HDMI. I read thru the documentation and found out the monitor used HDMI 2.0 but after going back to HPs website and digging in I found out that the standard graphics card was HDMI 1.4b. It had only been three days and the website said my drive wasn't scheduled to ship for three more weeks, so I called HP to add the upgraded graphics card to my order. I was told that my drive had already been built and the specs couldnt be added to. I was told I would need to order another drive with the graphics card that I needed, then return the original order once it arrived. I was told that because it was an issue with the HDMI specs not being displayed that I wouldn't be charged a restocking fee. I ordered another drive right then over the phone, and that one actually arrived 3 days before the original order. It took two emails and almost a week to get a return label from HP. Once I shipped it back I watched the tracking until I saw it arrive in TN. I waited a week and still hadn't received a refund so I emailed again. I was told I would have a refund in 5 to 7 days. It took 10 days. The original purchase price was $ 1,670.97. I received a refund for $ 1,425.27. I cannot recommend HP due to their inefficiency and dishonesty.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jimbo51 from Great compact desktop PC I love the HP Envy TE01-51 desktop. It is compact and fits quite nicely under my desk. It picked up most of my settings, all favorites and even some of my programs via wifi to wifi on my old computer. It is fast. Comes up fast, retrieves files and web sites fast and shuts down fast. I only gave it four stars due to post purchase customer service, which has been non existent and of no help. The operating manual needs to provide more information as well. Of course, it has to be downloaded on line. But, very satisfied with PC!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by anonymous2024abc from Avoid HP This was the worst ordering experience of my life. HP provided a shipping date and then sent it 2 weeks early, while I was out of the country. I called an agent and he said that I received a shipping email because components were shipped to the warehouse to be assembled and the pc was not built yet. The next day FedEx provided a tracking number and showed the pc was shipped from TN to NM, so clearly the agent lied. The agent also said the pc would require a signature and would not be left on my doorstep in the snow. Again the agent was wrong and Fedex left it on my doorstep where anyone could steal it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Andrew G2 from Great PC with plenty of Performance at a superb price. With Windows 11 OS preinstalled the time to boot and log in is far improved from the Windows 10 PC we were previously using. That's a huge improvement. It has plenty of processing power and is excellent for all browsing and application usage. We are very pleased with this PC except for the ON/Off button. It appears the styling won over practicality in the power button design. The power button is recessed and very thin causing a difficulty when trying to start and stop the PC. It appears to be sized and designed based on the case design rather than ergonomics. My wife and I find this to be a surprise since all other components and performance are excellent and at a very attractive price. The on/off power button on the front case should be larger and easier to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Certified HP Customer from Great Machine for running CPU heavy applications. Needed to upgrade to a 32Gb machine to drive a process heavy DAW Music Studio. It's a great machine for a recording studio. Whisper quiet, able to drive an application running multiple deep processes. That said, the operating system suffered from a corrupt WIN11 update that stripped rules allowing access to NAS stored project files. MSoft elite techs couldn't resolve it. The entry level HP techs couldn't resolve it. Not their fault, they are primarily trained to help with basic hardware issues and in most cases, I know more than they do. After a week and a half and dozens of frustrating hours on the phone, HP tech Ed did the deep dive no one else thought of, and wrote new rules in WIN11 that resolved the issue. Note to HP: If I'm selling a Complete Package, I need my CSRs to be fluent with all the operating systems that the elegant hardware needs to operate. One out of all the CSRs I spoke with is not a good ratio.
