Extended Set up
This printer is an updated version of the one I previously owned; it lasted two years and three months but was fairly simple to install. This printer, probably operator error, was more frustrating. I spent almost two hours getting it to the point of receiving print orders this morning. Copies are crisp and clear. Paper is easily reloaded; ink cartridges are very easy to change. And biggest plus is six months of ink exchange for free.

Printer = Good, Paper Tray = Bad
The printer works great! Setup was very user friendly, and I am impressed with HP’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Which is why I cannot for the life of me understand how the paper tray for this printer is the flimsiest and worst I have ever seen or used in my lifetime. It is difficult to get in and out of the printer, it hangs up continually, it is nearly impossible to figure out how the slide guards work, and it is subject to frequent paper jams. All in all I give the printer a thumbs up, but not two thumbs because of the paper tray. Boy, how this messed up contraption got by your quality control inspectors I’ll never know! But it did!! If I had known about this difficult-to-use paper tray prior to making an online purchase, it would have been a deal breaker!

Bought the 4 year Care Pack. Well worth the price. Had this on prior printer and used it once during the 4 year period, with excellent service from HP. New printer shipped at no charge directly to my home, and prepaid label to return the defective unit.
