Secured-core PCs
Secured-core PCs from HP enable built-in Virtualization-based security (VBS) in Windows 10 Pro to create a secure, hardware-isolated environment that effectively isolates memory and critical components that prevents attacks and unauthorized access to critical parts of the operating system to protect the OS against theft of credentials (Windows Credential Guard)4.
Hypervisor code integrity (HVCI) protects Windows 10 Pro by preventing malware modifications of critical operating system code in Secured-core PCs.
Built on top of HP’s industry leading Sure Start5 technology, Secure Launch in HP Secured-core PCs uses a hardware root of trust ensuring secure start of the OS beginning the moment the CPU starts execution to when control is securely transferred to the Windows hypervisor loader.

Based on HP’s unique and comprehensive security capabilities at no additional cost and HP’s Manageability Integration Kit’s management of every aspect of a PC including hardware, BIOS and software management using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager on HP Elite PCs and HP Workstations with Windows and 8th Gen and higher Intel® processors or AMD Ryzen™ 4000 processors and higher.
2. HP Essential Security requires Windows 10, includes various HP Sure security features and is available on HP Elite and Workstation products. See product details for included security features.
3. HP Pro Security Edition is available preloaded on select HP PCs and includes HP Sure Click Pro and HP Sure Sense Pro. 3 year license required.
4. Windows 10 Secured-core is enabled on select HP PCs with Intel vPro and Windows 10 Operating System. These features may decrease performance in some situations due to memory compartmentalization and virtualization context switching that occur using these features. Credential Guard is not part of the secured-core PC requirements, is not enabled by default, but the underlying support for VBS support is enabled.
