Communications HP

You can make or change your choices relating to your subscription or general communications from HP at the point of data collection or by using other methods described in the next section. These options do not apply to communications relating to order fulfillment, contract, support service, product safety warnings, driver updates or other notices. administrative or transactional nature without promotional purpose.

 

MARKETING AND PACKAGE COMMUNICATIONS

 

HP marketing communications provide information about products, services or support and you can choose how these communications are presented, eg. e.g., by post, e-mail, telephone, fax or mobile phone. Marketing communications may relate to information about new products or services, special offers, personalized content, targeted advertising, or invitations to participate in market research or compliance reviews. Plan-related communications include e-mail newsletters, software updates, etc., which you may specifically request or consent to receive.

 

You can opt out of receiving general communications at any time by doing one of the following:

  • Click on the “Unsubscribe” or “Unsubscribe” link in the email message or follow the instructions provided in each electronic communication about the plan.
  • To unsubscribe from these messages delivered to your mobile phone, simply answer “STOP” or “END”.

You can also opt out of automatic data collection tools, such as web beacons, in emails by not downloading images in messages you receive from HP (this feature varies depending on the email software you are using on your computer staff). However, this may not disable data collection in email due to specific email software capabilities. In some cases, product usage data (not file content) is collected and processed to provide you with the best features of an HP service, such as remote printing, Instant Ink or other service enabled through the Web. You can control the collection of information from your device yourself through the preferences and settings of the device. HP is unable to set the information collection parameters without your informed input. Disabling data collection may affect the availability or functionality of these services. Data collected to enable such basic functionality will not be processed for direct marketing purposes. In some cases, these rights may be limited, for example if, in order to comply with your request, we need to reveal personal data about another person or if you ask us to delete information which we are required by law to keep or whose interests compelling legitimate business leads us to retain.
