Jody is an adventure and documentary photographer and filmmaker known for stepping off the beaten path to document stories that inspire social change. Curiosity drives her work which is aimed at promoting the preservation of wild spaces.
Streamlining Process
Jody challenges herself to capture images that evoke emotion and tell a story. It’s important that she convey a sense of place to the viewer, and she immerses herself in her surroundings—the landscape and community—in order to depict a certain people or region.

In order to remain agile in the field, Jody likes to use a minimal amount of gear; making efficiency the goal of her workflow. Z by HP computing power saves time by allowing her to easily manage large image and video files and programs simultaneously—while on the move.

Freeing her workflow from the basics of editing, Jody can focus her time and energy on being creative. She’s inspired by artists addressing pressing issues like climate change, people pursuing their passion while trying to do the right thing.
Looking to the future, Jody is excited about diving into film and digital artworks, as well as the possibilities of 360 camera technology and VR: “I’m pretty much interested in any new technique that helps me tell stories better.”
