Rated 5 out of 5 by bhgeek_3643 from Podcast like sound The flipcast is an excellent microphone with exceptional sound quality and intuitive physical controls for reducing background noise and improving the sound of your voice. The integrated windscreen helps reduce the sound of plosives and hisses, resulting in high quality audio recording. The USB-C and XLR ports make this a versatile microphone for casual users and serious professionals such as musicians. In my testing I used the USB-C port connected to my PC and used a virtual mixing console and the quality of the audio was excellent, I felt like I was a podcaster from the comfort of my own home. The only downsides to this microphone are its software which at the time of review is still in beta and does not have many features, and also the mute button as it is a touch sensitive button which results in accidental activation when I need to move the microphone. I wish this mute switch was an actual button that you had to press to activate instead of a simple touch. Overall, this microphone commands a high price but it is well justified for the sound quality, intuitive controls and versatility.

That being said it is easy to set up and has decent audio quality it does pick up background noise so that could be improved on. The plug in is a little difficult to get to especially for my husband so the placement of that could be better. Other than that it picks up words well and is clear when you hear it on the other end with no cuts in audio.
