Rated 5 out of 5 by Judy A B from Great desktop computer My husband used an HP Pavilion desktop computer for his home office and after he passed away I needed to replace the pc so I purchased another HP Pavilion desktop computer. I had it for 11 years and because Windows 11 is the only software that Microsoft will continue to support as of October 14th so I needed to purchase a new computer with Windows 11 and I got another HP Pavilion desktop computer. I love my new pc and the Windows 11 software it contains. The Pavilion has been a great computer for my home needs and has held up very well with no problems in over 11 years of ownership from my last computer. I'm excited with the options available on my new computer with Windows 11. Thank you HP. I also purchased a new HP printer and it's awesome also. I love my HP Pavilion desktop pc and my HP Envy 6155e printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kippi from My new HP Desktop I love this desktop computer! My old one was old. It started out brand new with Windows 8 and I loved it until the day it wasn't behaving properly so I tried to reset it to an earlier date. That's when it showed me a critical message that it failed. This one is super fast and has Windows 11 and many other features I haven't tried yet. But I do love it!

Rated 1 out of 5 by DonnaT from Disappointed - Computer overheats and stops working. This computer has spent more time with the Geek Squad and Best Buy Service Center than it has with me. It has an overheating problem that only presents itself when it's idle. It get hot, freezes and needs a hard power down/up to start working again. The last time is froze, even a hard power down/up didn't work. I've had HP computers for years and never experienced a problem like this. I hope HP replaces this computer because I can't use it this way.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Armature from It's the best I can do! On the HP Chat I asked to purchase a home office personal replacement Pavilion. The Chat asked, "what price range' and searched for this unit on a sales promotion over the 4th of July Holiday. I use my computer for home accounting, web searches, personal files, and no gaming. The agent strongly recommended I purchase a program software to transfer my information from my Widows 10 Pavilion to the new Windows 11 one. The PC mover program shutdown at the transfer of my photos and posted a dialogue box stating access to download has to be granted for that segment to load. I could not get that to do anything and upon reboot the dialogue box appears. Chats with the company didn't resolve either issue. I uninstalled the program and still have the dialogue box appear. I can click it off screen, but I don't think that's right. The setup program indicated a battery problem. I later found out the Pavilion does not include a battery monitor feature. I read the 78-page instruction manual and learned a few things. The unit shuts off in sleep mode and requires pushing the on/off switch to wake. The performance is quick, and I will never stop needing to learn what else it can do. Pressure from Microsoft about terminating support of Widows 10 caused me to purchase. I am satisfied and will continue to refine my abilities to operate this computer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by METK from Easy to set up. The HP Pavilion was surprisingly easy to set up on my own. What I like most is the ability to find detailed answers to most issues just by typing in a question. I have found the wait time for HP Tech Support to be too long so I haven't waited on my phone to actually get the help I need on a couple of issues.

Rated 4 out of 5 by DonCal444 from Good overall PC, hate the AI So far I have very few complaints with this desktop. I am still getting used to where everything is located and it didn't help that my internet was down for 8 days. I am not overly fond of all the AI additions, hence the 4 stars, but that is my idiosyncrasy I suppose.

Rated 4 out of 5 by K Bar from the HP Pavillion is a fine piece of equipment I switched from a Dell XPS Win 10 desktop to the HP Pavillion Win 11 desktop. The Pavillion is powerful and fast. My biggest headaches in the transition involved transferring my data and applications to the new PC. With all of the offers for software trials and MS being a bit sneaky regarding default software, lots of time was taken dealing with those distractions. Maybe if I was not transferring years of data, etc., it would have been a different story. The benefits of having a SSD and a hard drive have been stated in many online sources, but exactly how to divide up the items from your old hard drive into two drives in the new PC required some scrambling and possibly some less than ideal decisions were made. An actual old fashioned owners manual listing the basic specs of the model for future reference and diagrams of the ports, USBs, power switch, etc would have been appreciated. There's something that looks like it might be a USB C down near the bottom on the front, but I have the PC on the floor and would have to crawl down there with a flashlight and a magnifying glass to be sure. If I had it on the desk as the designers must have envisioned, that wouldn't be much of an issue. Once I got my already paid for internet security software fully set up and worked through the MS diversions and complexities, the actual HP Pavillion is a fine piece of equipment. The startup time is unbelievably quick. I can't blame HP for the problems from MS.

Rated 3 out of 5 by LP in CA from Too many programs There are many “features” to be deleted or turned off. I am not tech-savvy, and only need a simple machine. This one automatically saves my documents to the cloud — NO! Automatically suggests how to compose documents —NO! Had to disable many things. Had to subscribe to extra cost version of Microsoft 365 to be able to properly use Excel & Word! Very difficult/almost impossible to transfer documents from my old HP Laptop. Product description on website did NOT state that this computer did not come with a webcam or speakers; had to purchase in addition after the fact. Luckily, I did not have a Zoom mtg for a few weeks! Summary: irritating to use. I don’t want Microsoft to force me to do things its way, rather than my own way. By the way, HP Smart Friend is not very helpful in trying to help with setup.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Old Soldier in Tennessee from HP not what it use to be The documentation for the new computer is not the same as what HP provided in the past. Even the online documents do not provide a detail motherboard document to name one item lacking. The setup and transfer from an old computer went okay. There is a problem with the hibernate mode in windows 11 and HP does not allow a complete access to the BIOS setup to see if the power is available to USB devices during the hibernate mode. Since I cannot get out of the hibernate mode with my USB keyboard or USB mouse, I have to turnoff the pc and then perform a re-start. HP is not the same as it was when I purchased desktops in the past.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Anonymous from Keeps freezing up, requiring hard restart Keyboard and mouse often stop working completely, sometimes with cursor visible and immobile and sometimes gone entirely. Control-Alt-Delete does nothing, so only thing left is a hard restart. Also annoying that the keyboard has no 'print screen' key, even though there is space on it for five more keys. The supposed workaround for no prt sc key (Fn+Windows+spacebar) doesn't work either. Stuck with HP desktop due to success with previous previous ones, but now regretting the purchase.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Budiswiser from New Desktop and Monitor with a glitch I purchase this TP01-3025t along with the HP E27u G4 QHD USB-C Monitor. Did the automatic setup including updates from HP on day 1. There were minor glitches during the first 2 weeks. The unit would not come out of hibernate mode, requiring reboot twice over 4 days, and waiting over 10 seconds for it to respond to the enter key. I let this slide, and tolerated it. Another minor irritation is that there would be a HDMI connection error pop up on the screen occasionally (new hdmi cable). But the picture was fine. Then the PC got hot, so I contacted HP support, and chatted. They did the cloud transfer of new bios drivers. The wifi driver was corrupt, so i had to get my laptop to continue debugging and got the wifi driver updated (6 hours with hp on a Saturday). Then HP decided to tell me to completely reload windows, and that the computer was not updated at the factory. So, i decided to get a refund. The refund process takes up to 2 weeks. HP sales did work through this with me, but it was time consuming. In order to get a refund, you must spend time with technical support to try to fix the problem. Hopefully this experience was a fluke with HP desktops.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Manitook from Expansion capabilities No issues so far after the 1st month. You can make your own judgement on Windows 11(there's been worse-Win 8). I would note that HP AI does not know what is on it's own motherboard. I had inquired about expansion slots. See the following transcript. Much to my surprise and pleasure I found an additional Sata connection with a 5" bay to add an additional HDD. If you want to upgrade the RAM to 16 gb you'll need 2gb modules as the current configuration has 2 4gb's. Overall it seems like a pretty good deal for the money. Customer What is the maximum amount of memory that can be installed? Are there any unused 2.5, 3.5 or 5 inch expansion slots? Athena The maximum memory is 16 GB, and it doesn't have unused expansion slots.

Asked by: lchere
Thank you for your question! Core i5 processors provide a good balance of performance and price. They are suitable for most computing tasks, including web browsing, productivity applications, and light gaming. However, Intel has higher-end processors in the i7 and i9 series and the Ultra series as well.
