Rated 1 out of 5 by Cheese92 from Terrible Have had issues with this from the start. Constantly loses connectivity, and have come to the conclusion that the network card is junk. The speakers constantly make a popping noise out of them when nothing is playing. I would just stick with the cookie cutter laptops you can pick up from Best Buy. This customizable laptop is a nightmare, because it acts like hp/ windows doesn’t have driver updates for the components.

Rated 4 out of 5 by arnom from good 2 in 1 laptop This computer is really nice for most of usage. the screen is big enough to watch video or play a game. Once in table mode, the touch screen is precise and reliable. In my opinion it should come with the pen, that would be great. I really appreciate the fingerprint sensor for unlocking the computer, this is a very feature. In terms of performances, it is OK, if you are a gamer or a heavy code user like me, the computer will be a bit slow and limited in space. Indeed it is 8GB RAM and 256GB HDD. The overall quality seems good but I did not fold/unfold it 100 times to check. In summary, this laptop is a good computer, it will perform 90% of your normal usage without problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jenjen3 from 2 in 1 Laptop This is a great 2 in 1 laptop. It feels sturdy, with tight hinges and a stylish design. It has a very nice display, that looks beautiful and works well . You can do many tasks with ease, handling many open tabs, downloading, and streaming with no problem. The battery life is good, around 10 hours depending on the workload, and it also charges fast, getting you through the day easily. It comes with a big touch pad and a nice backlit keyboard and good speakers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by AR39 from Versatile machine I have enjoyed my time using this laptop, mainly for its versatility. It is very helpful to be able to turn and twist and adjust your laptop to suit your needs throughout the day. I use this laptop for work, school, and leisure, so I can easily use it for many hours a day. Ultimately, the laptop is fast, easy to use, and has a big, beautiful hi-def screen. I do wish the construction held up a bit better to all the versatility of the machine, for example, the side panel of screen clicks and moves when I change positions. Additionally, if I leave it flipped in tablet mode for a while, it requires me to flip it back to laptop mode in order to wake it up and often needs to reboot. I also do wish it was a bit lighter, but it does have a luxurious screen size, so perhaps it's a natural tradeoff in an affordable laptop. Overall, this laptop can seemless move and adapt to whatever I need at the moment, which I love and is totally indispensible for a busy person who needs to seemlessly transition from zoom calls, to watching movies, to shopping online, to writing- this laptop can handle it all. I would recommend this laptop to students in particular!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ang13662 from Wow This machine is so fast, eye appealing, and convent to bring with you anywhere. As an educator I needed something that would be fast and could bring with me anywhere I went. I have to do assessments on students in different classrooms and this is convenient. I never had a computer quite so fast. I plan on staying with this brand for many years to come! I would give this 20 stars if I could.

Rated 5 out of 5 by crysaracry from Great everyday laptop I received the HP Spectre Envy x360 2 in 1 Convertible Laptop. This laptop came in the color black. The design is nice and it's fairly heavyweight. The laptop has a very small area to lift it open. Which I didn't care for because I have a hard time opening it. I loved the ability to flip the screen over and use it many different ways. The touch screen is amazing. Ive never had a touchscreen laptop so it will take a bit to get used to. Graphics are crisp and bright. I really like the larger keys and that are lit from underneath. You can turn off the lights with a click of a button. I also like that there are other buttons on top of the keyboard for volume, brightness, microphone, ect. I wish there a side number pad since I'm so used to it. But not a deal breaker. The laptop has a decent battery life and it charges fast. I really love the charger cord. It's a thicker fabric type cord. The cord is pretty long. I do wish the speakers where in a different place. They are underneath so the sound is quiet, and I felt the sound vibration through top of the laptop. The laptop loads up very fast. And I had no problem surfing the web or normal activities. Overall great everyday laptop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ren82 from The HP Envy x360 15.6-inch 2-in-1 starts up in a flash and is a great laptop as the performance goes. I can play my rpg games, run a virtual machine, and browse the internet without it bogging down. It combines a powerful CPU and fairly good internal graphics card with a well-built design, fantastic display plus an outstanding battery life. The two USB-c ports are a great addition to for any new perifferals and charging. The tablet option allows me to be creative and draw with the touchscreen just as you can on a standalone tablet. The Envy can handle most of my work and entertainment needs. It is a bit bulky and on the heavy size for a laptop but I still find it easy to take on the go. The use case for this laptop is varied which makes it a great option for everyone from a professional to a student.

Rated 5 out of 5 by tyguyone from Solid Build with great privacy feature The HP Envy x360 15.6" is a great solidly-built laptop for anyone looking for a workhorse to power through browsing, streaming, and even some light gaming. The 15.6" laptop is made of aluminum, which makes it study and strong, though it is much heavier than ultra-book type laptops that are available for a similar price. I was happy to see that the hinge is strong and sturdy, even when using in tent orientation. The laptop is light on pre-installed software which is great to see. Some of the software is even helpful, like Duet Display, which allows you to use a phone or iPad as a second screen over a wired connection (you need to pay to upgrade for wireless access). HP Quick Drop allows you to share files very easily between your phone and PC. I was impressed at how it worked so well between the PC and my iPhone. The webcam is clear and free of noise due to noise reducing AI technology. It also includes Windows Hello for face unlock of your PC, though I found it was hit or miss depending on the light in my room. The webcam even has a physical privacy shade that is electronically enabled via a button on the keyboard. I found that pretty cool. As a process goes, the AMD Ryzen 5000 should be powerful enough for most creatives, but would recommend upgrading to a 7000 series if you're serious about performance, or switching to an Intel chip (it's personal preference though). The black color is very sleek and beautiful. The screen is available in both LED and OLED versions. Bang and Olufsen speakers are clear and have good bass at full volume compared to other laptops I've used. They are upward facing vs. downward facing, which definitely helps. Overall, this is a great machine. In my time using it, I had no complaints and it worked perfectly as expected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Piki from What an overachiever I'm not the kind of person who can get along well with a device that only does one thing well. Thankfully, this device does lots of things, really well - truly the overachiever of computers. First of all, it feels overall well-made. The keyboard is comfortable, and to use it in tablet mode, the screen rotates smoothly and securely. The screen feels satisfying and sturdy to tap and swipe on, and I can even use it with my rubber-tip stylus. Also, the screen is quite large and very high-definition, so it's amazing to watch movies, play games, or even read on. And, it does all those things very quickly and without lag thanks to the great Ryzen processor. But it's also great that this device isn't just awesome for entertainment and playtime; it's great for getting work done too, which is a must for me since I work from home. There's a good amount of USB connections, both USB-C and standard USB so you don't have to use hubs and adapters so much. The webcam is really impressive quality - no more fiddling with the lighting in my room or playing with settings just to make myself somewhat presentable for a video meeting. The sound of the built-in speakers is genuinely awesome, too - it goes pretty loud and has amazing overall sound quality, which I'm not used to experiencing on any laptop or tablet I ever previously owned. I love being able to blast my tunes or feel immersed in a video game without having to connect external speakers. On top of it all, the battery life is fantastic. Even if I'm doing something more intensive like gaming, it lasts for many hours straight. I didn't expect one device to be able to do so many things so well, but like I said, it's definitely an overachiever. Whether you want to work hard or play hard (or, like myself, do a lot of both every day), this 2-in-1 has it all covered for sure.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Shiny from Good I have been using this laptop for last few days and here is my review: Features: HP Envy x360 - 2 in 1 folding feature is tremendous plus for people on the move. The laptop doubles as a tablet and is easy to use via its glossy touchscreen. Keyboard quality is good and keys don't feel plasticky. The Bang and Olufsen speakers sound quality is quite decent. Laptop is adequetly powered with 8 GB ram and AMD Ryzen 5 is the best in its class. The Radeon graphics complements the configuration for a gaming ready setup. Performance: Laptop performance is satisfactory with shared graphic RAM.Decent for work and College. Pros: AMD processor and Radeon graphics Bang and Olufsen speakers Cons: RAM could have been 16GB Glossy screen catches fingerprints easily Overall it’s decent laptop and works good and would have got 5 stars if RAM is atleast 16gb.

Rated 4 out of 5 by AustinB from Finally Time To Make the Switch! While I'm not ready to throw in the towel completely, I can definitely say I didn't think this day would come. Being a mac guy for so long makes you think that there will never be a reason to jump ship. I can finally say, this computer might be the final reason I need to do it. From the incredible responsive touch screen to the slick size while still providing a wide array of ports to use. I brought the computer on a recent business trip and was incredibly pleased how many different uses I was able to have with it. From stand mode, watching a movie on the plane, to taking notes in the tablet version during the meeting so I didn't have to bother everyone with my typing. The computer is incredible powerful with a solid battery life to easily cover a days worth of work. The speakers within it also pack a fantastic punch for the size of the computer. You can easily identify the base and clarity, unlike many laptop speakers. I haven't decided how often I will end up using the tablet mode, but simply having the option is unlike any other competing os computer. Very impressed with this computer and I can definitely say it has earned a place in my travel bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from I could not have made a better choice! I currently own an older HP laptop that has been great to me for the past 10 years. But with all the changes that come with time, it was only right to upgrade to something much more modern. So I did some research. A whole lot of research before finally deciding on this HP X360 laptop. Sleek, stylish and very well designed. It was exactly what I wanted and exactly what I needed. A reliable 2 in 1 computer to use just as I please. Whether it's in traditional laptop mode, or folded all the way back flat in touchscreen tablet mode, this laptop satisfies every need that is required of it. No questions asked, this is a high end, top of the line, do it all computer. Boasting it's amazing picture clarity and superb audio sound quality, this laptop is perfect for music and movies. Topped with a strong auto focusing camera with noise reduction and privacy options, this laptop is also ideal for online meetings and live chatting. Inside the unit is an ultra fast and powerful processor, capable of handling many tasks all at once. Battery life is very impressive and it charges extremely quick. The laptop stays relatively cool throughout many hours of usage. As my older HP laptop lasted me a whole decade and still going, I have no doubt in my mind that this will last me another. I could not have made a better choice!

Rated 5 out of 5 by MonicaM from Great laptop! I’ve had every other brand of laptops but never had the opportunity to use an HP until now. I’ve been using this HP laptop for a few days and I’m pleasantly surprised. I’m still getting used to the touchscreen since I’ve never had a laptop with a touchscreen, and I don’t see any lagging or having any issues with having to press on the screen multiple times to get it to read my touch. The laptop has some good weight to it, and that only seems to be a very small issue when I’ve used it as a tablet. However, it’s more of a minor inconvenience. I was expecting that when you folded it to be used as a tablet, and pressed on the keyboard in error, the computer would still register it. However, when I have used it as a tablet, I have pressed on the keyboard and it doesn’t interfere with the tablet. Setting up the laptop was very easy. It maybe took 15 minutes to setup and It was ready to be used. I do wish it had more memory, but you could simply purchase an SD card or an external hard drive if needed. Overall, I am very pleased with this HP laptop and can’t wait to use it more.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Frycake from Frycake’s review It’s slow when starting up and disconnects from the internet randomly. Not even a week into having the laptop, a pixel stuck and now it’s red no matter what I do. I have also run into a case when after startup an application I had on my desktop disappeared. It was pinned in Start still but not on my desktop where I put it. I like the pen and 360 capabilities. The ability to chose what count as priority’s for the different notifications is cool to me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jag Agemo from Great overall, but... It's a good laptop, great even. But if you are trying to draw on it it offers no resistance between the screen a pen making it difficult keep lines consistent. I love that I can upgrade the ram and NVME but they hid the screw under the rubber feet. Lastly, I really, really wish I had a context menu key. I don't know why every laptop has been removing them but it's something I use very often while typing or navigating directories so not having it has been messing slowing down my work.

I had started using it for 2 months now, the fan never turns on even though the computer is hot. Rated 1 out of 5 by TeeMil from Do not recommend I was in love with my cheaper HP touchscreen computer. I had it for a few years before I decided to hand it down to my son. I chose this pc over the Mac and I was so excited. After a day of having it, my trackpad started to stick. The N key and space bar would not always work. It was frustrating to deal with this type of issue with a new laptop. I contacted HP and I was told I need to update a driver. Still has that issue. Now the computer shuts down in the middle of using for no reason. It’s sucks when I am doing my school work or attending my zoom lecture. I have owned this computer for less than a year, but I am already looking for a new device.

Rated 2 out of 5 by potluri from Worst Laptop Ever Every time, The bluetooth audio has to be troubleshooted every time even after the drivers are up to date. The same with the Wifi drivers, Have to diagnose every time after switching ON, The display wallpaper vanishes every time when I press refresh. This was happening since from the first six months from I bought it. My laptop is AMD 5 processor with 512 Gb and 16gb ram, And it sucks. I have a friend who has Intel I7 processor with same specs as mine and she had lot more problems. The service sucks, Service centres ask people to mail the laptops and it takes 1-2 months to and fro and the warranty expires and HP don't even care about these. From my understanding Dell laptops at this price are more reliable than HP's try going for Dell in this price range. FYI, I have friemds using HP spectre and they say it is awesome but it comes at a price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Very Pleased, Ignore the Haters After having purchased a HP Pavillion a few years ago, I wanted an upgrade. This Envy was on a smokin' hot Black Friday deal this year and I bit. Very pleased with this purchase. I saw other reviews questioning the purchase, but ignore them. The AMD Ryzen 7 processor is speedy, keyboard is great and BLACK as it should be, including the 10 key pad. (I can't believe all the unreadable backlit silver keyboards offered on laptops) Even bone stock it does everything I need, and I like that the electronic pen is included if I ever decide to get artsy. If I had a criticism of this Envy, it's that HP doesn't offer enough upgrades for the model. 400 nits display wasn't available when I ordered, but the stock 250 is adequate. I purchased this stock with 8gb ram and 256gb SSD drive. I installed a 32gb ram upgrade and a 1TB drive myself, which is how I really wanted it to be, but the options weren't offered by HP. I don't know if this is due to "supply chain issues", but don't be afraid to upgrade. It would have been nicer to be able to get it from the factory in "loaded" condition. Still, been using it for about a month now and am still happy I purchased it, and really enjoy the looks...especially the metal case materials.

Rated 1 out of 5 by J P Hoekstra from Really Nice Laptop When It Worked I have an older Envy x360 at work and like it very much, so I ordered this one for personal use. The laptop arrived and I set it up and loaded a couple of programs I use. I powered it down and the next day it wouldn't power up. HP support had me check a few things and then sent me packaging to send it to repair. After I received it back from repair it powered up and I used it for an evening and shut it down. The next day it wouldn't power up. I have just returned from Fedex where I shipped it back for repair the second time. I'm hopeful it will get fixed correctly this time. For the 6 hours that it was working in the 2 weeks since I received it I was very pleased with the functionality and performance.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Skyy1 from All in all, pretty good laptop. Very slick design. I'm very happy with the overall package, compared to other models in this similar category. Now there are a few things that I would like to see. Number one, there is no memory access in the BIOS to select XMP so while you can open it and change out the RAM sticks, most of the time you're not going to be able to get high speeds activated. Because the build quality is good, it needs an option for higher tier processors like H-series, maybe an option for a GPU for low level gaming, options for higher refresh screen and the OLED variant for AMD too, and maybe an option for a better touchpad (it's not bad but it's not as good as the high tier ones like on a mac). I'd like to see a pen holder or some kind of accessory to clip it on. There's WAY too much bloatware crap (which isn't surprising but sucks and kills performance), but you can just wipe the drive and install your copy of windows, fresh. Audio is really great. Would be nice to see the screen offer more brightness, but it's not as bad as everyone leads on. Feels premium and solid build and keys are satisfying. I like the fancy webcam shutter. All in all, pretty good laptop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by KevinR20 from Great Laptop, So happy with it! First I bought the laptop not fully confident in whether or not it was a good product. However, I watched a couple of videos online and I was convinced that it was the right decision. As a result, I decided to purchase the laptop. For the past year, I love it so much. I currently have a self-built PC worth nearly a thousand or so, but I never touch it because I love using the laptop. My version is the Ryzen 7 4700u with 16GB of ram and it surprisingly plays Triple-A games on low settings. However, everything I throw at the laptop handles with ease. It rarely if ever heats up to the touch and the fans do not get that loud. However, from time to time the coil whine is noticeable but it goes away on its own to be a non-issue. I love the hinges and the feel of the laptop and would definitely recommend it to others to purchase.

I have had this laptop for a few years now and have always wondered about the USB-C port on the laptop. I see in the specs that it is rated for power delivery, does that mean if I buy a USB-C charger that is rated for 65W I can charge the laptop?

This laptop has the same name as your laptop but may not have the same specs. Being that you have had the laptop for a few years now I would not recommend buying a USB-C charger until it can be determined that your laptop is compatible. To do that, resubmit the question with your laptop product number. The product number will be located on the bottom of the laptop.
