Rated 2 out of 5 by CasualUser9999 from Would not recommend It seems like it would be a good laptop, but there's three things that keep happening that drop my rating down to a "Fair". These faults do not render the laptop worthless to me, but they are also very real annoyances that would definitely dissuade me from purchasing this laptop in the first place, or recommending it to friends. First, after logging off, the display will sometimes randomly flip to Portrait mode when I go to log back on. I then have to go to the Display Settings and switch it back to Landscape (all while holding my head sideways). Second, after logging off, when I go to log back on, I sometimes find the computer has shut down (outside of regular restarts for updates) and all my program windows/tabs have closed. This is fairly annoying when I have a number of programs/tabs open. Lastly, after logging off, when I go to log back on, I sometimes find that the keyboard/touchpad will not work. I can log in using the touchscreen to enter my PIN on the on-screen keypad. However, even then I can only operate the laptop using the touchscreen. So far the only solution I have found to get the keyboard and touchpad back is to restart.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from Amazing with one little note I love the computer. It looks really nice, it folds back seamlessly. However, there is just one problem. When i fold it back into tablet mode a d then back to laptop mode, sometimes the keyboard stops working. The only solution i have found was to restart the computer. Pretty obnoxious, but the laptop is very user friendly and the pen is amazing. I wish the pen had bluetooth options on it so i dont lose it, but im okay with that.

Rated 4 out of 5 by The Safety Guy from So Far So Good Have not used it enough to give a detailed review but so far very happy and it is fast. I will say it is a little larger (longer) then what I wanted for a personal notebook then what I use for work but it is good for my wife an I to share. Don't need my reading glasses.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Brian P. from Laptop Disappointment First of all, HP messed up my custom order and when I asked them to cancel, they refused even though the laptop was not due to be built for two weeks. So they built the laptop and shipped it out of China. It came in a plain carboard box with no packing slip or documentation to confirm what they actually built. Just the laptop, power adapter, and stylus. When I opened the box to inspect the laptop, there were several defects in the finish where the coating was missing. The top is plasticky and flexes when you push down in the middle. It was supposed to be built with the custom OLED screen, but there is no way to tell since there was no documentation with it. The screen was not as sharp as other laptops I have seen in this price range and yes, it was running at native resolution. The brightness adjustment lacked range. The brightest setting was just barely enough for working in daytime with the lights on and the dimmest setting is still too bright for working at night with the lights turned down. The touchscreen calibration is off so I have to aim a bit lower when pressing buttons onscreen. The keyboard backlight only has two settings, super bright and very bright. There are no dimmer settings for working at night. It does not need to be this bright since it is only for working in dim light. Also, the keycaps sit high so you can see the leds underneath the keys which are super bright and throw off distracting light from under the keys. You can also see these directly if sitting at an angle. The speakers are in the front bottom of the laptop instead of on the sides, have very little stereo width to them, and don't get very loud. There is no HDR or Dolby Atmos included which other laptops in this price range offer. There is no software included for adjusting the screen and sound other than the basic windows settings. There is bloatware with trial versions of software for a VPN and McAfee that keep bugging you with notifications to sign up for monthly subscriptions. HP also keeps bugging you with notifications for various things including advertising other products that they have. All in all, this has been a very stressful and disappointing experience. I was surprised at the poor build quality and poor design, and the lack of customer service to try and resolve the order issue. I have bought HP printers, monitors, and desktops in the past, but based on this experience I will never buy another HP product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Ronya from Early review of HP Envy I haven't had it long enough to give a review. So far everything seems great. It would have helped have more clarity about the sync with OneDrive. I had to learn by trial and error. Web searches helped a little.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Gwynovearr from Update Update: Repair is going to take a month to get my laptop back to me, with little to no way to contact support about the status. Also sent it in the same day I got the return box and its still gonna this long. HP refused to cover local repair fees so this is what I'm stuck with... more bureaucracy and no laptop... awesome.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Gwynovear from Great Laptop (if it worked) Would give it zero if I could. Actually love the machine but it died in a couple days, will not boot at ALL. Contacted support, no local repair covered under warranty. Already waited a month for it to arrive, which is fine, but then a 14+ day repair schedule is RIDICULOUS. Terrible quality assurance and then terrible customer service/warranty fulfillment. Like I said laptop is actually pretty great, as long as it doesn't die in the first week.

Rated 1 out of 5 by WM38 from Difficult to setup. I found this computer very difficult to setup. I followed HP and Windows 11 setup built-in features. 1. The computer does not recognize my HP printer wirelessly. 2. The computer, Windows 11, will not recognize my Nord VPN. I need wireless printing capability as well as VPN protection. I can find no wizard to assist in setup. I’m expecting more setup problems while continuing setup. You may consider me “not computer savvy,” or ignorant. OK by me. But shouldn’t setup be simple? straight forward? Even for folks like me?

Rated 2 out of 5 by YeGoose from Good if you like a flaky experience Arrived quickly and feels solid. Unfortunately the WiFi and USB components are very flaky. Took a lot of work to get it to connect to my 5ghz WiFi, and the WiFi turns off randomly… and the fix is to hold the power button down for 30 seconds and reboot. This has happened about every two weeks USB connects and disconnects at times so you hear the various devices connecting and disconnecting when this happens (again it’s just flaky for the last 2 months and I’ve owned it for 2 months now). Perhaps my rating will be raised if I can get the issue fixed permanently.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Rob84 from Great Laptop I bought this laptop on 12/22/22 and it's amazing! I make music with it and play GTA5, The Witcher 3, Just Cause 3 and Left 4 Dead with a PS5 controller without any issues, all games are saved on external HD. My 15.6" Envy 2n1 didn't come with a pen but I'm still very happy with it. I did experience something weird once about 2 days ago where my Bluetooth disappeared. I since updated and haven't experience that again. I'm getting stickers or skin for it so it will stand out! Good job HP!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by JM Design from After a painful setup and bios update, seems to be okay. Was not easy to setup, you are required to have a Microsoft account, which is not something i wanted. Was crashing and freezing constantly until i got thru many updates, including a bios update. Really? A brand new computer and you can't even send it out with a current and stable bios? Seems to be okay now, but first impressions tend to last and lead to bad reviews...

Rated 4 out of 5 by Andrew E from Good mid tier laptop So far so good. I custom made it with the AMD 5 and oled display. I was a little disappointed on how basic the settings options were but thats what you get with mid tier computer. The body feels really sturdy and has a good weight to it. The keyboard has a nice feeling and the face recognition is a plus. I thought it was coming with fingerprint access but doesn't. I wish they would list every feature it has and doesn't have to make my decision easier. Overall im pleased with my purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by RonD2k from Its a good 2in1 laptop, high school child approved Its a good 2in1 laptop. the Bad : 1. ordered before black Friday ie in Nov 2022, received it via FedEx on 13th Dec 2022 , as it was shipped from China...its just too long to wait for a Laptop... 2. a bit too heavy for the taste to lug around to take to school , back and forth along with brick like school books weighing a ton. 3. wish i could get school discount as it is used for engineering stem school as - tablet based - pen based - screen. 4. fan gets quite loud and noticeable. 5. wished ram was ddr5 and storage 1TB ssd. 6. plastic casing. 7. based on face recognition, started pushing you tube videos based on skin color, profiling. the good: 1. foldable like a tablet comes with pen and couple of tips, quite responsive. 2. beautiful screen OLED 3. 2 speakers quite loud placed on either side of the backlit keyboard 4. quick setup, windows updates, startup time. 5. 16gb ram is a plus. and so is 512gb storage for school usage. 6. finger print, face recognition? installed Google chrome browser and the free anti virus software called Avira, have been a long time user of this anti virus software. have not tried : usb c docking station. external monitor connection. playing games. planning on installing CCleaner software for cleanup of temp and junk files . will update in 2 months on how it works, durability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Emmesgee from Customize for Ryzen 5, and 16gb of RAM. Great for Taking notes with the touch screen and stylus is great as a nursing student. I custome configured mine to have a 1TB SSD, 16gb ram, and Ryzen 5 5625U. I went with the non-olded screen. It is plenty bright using it inside and I run it at about 50% brightness. Battery life is great as long as you use hibernate instead of sleep when you close the lid. It takes an extra 2 seconds to turn back on, but my battery never drains when it is in my bag. The keyboard feels really good to type on, and the trackpad is plenty responsive. Great laptop for the price, and the 2-1 is great as a student when I need to draw diagrams for notes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MH0503 from HP Envy 15.6 Laptop Recent purchase - November 2022. Replaced a 10 year old HP Pavilion that I would turn on....go make coffee....come back...sign in...go do something else...You get the idea! The Envy was more than I wanted to spend but a LIGHTED KEYBOARD was VERY IMPORTANT to me. So far I like it. Quick, quiet,....oh and the keyboard lights up! Moved from Windows 7 on my old laptop to Windows 11. Updated the memory/etc on this new one. Like the feel of the keyboard. Hopefully this will last 10 years.

Rated 3 out of 5 by ThisShouldNotBeSingleUse from The hardware is great. The OS is garbage. The device itself is fine. I bought it for editing photos and it comes with a pen, so that's a win. What's NOT a win or even a desirable feature is Windows 11. Win11 is a dumpster fire that sucks the battery dry in hours. I have had to put in permanently on battery saver mode. This also comes with a bunch of pointless bloat like amazon software, adobe crap I can't unselect when ordering, and a bunch of pointless, useless software it took me many hours to uninstall or disable. Windows has become an excellent advertisement for Linux. Or mac. Or stone tablets and smoke signals.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Birdman_in_CLE from Fantastic portable art studio. Great laptop for a portable art studio. Runs Photoshop and other similar applications beautifully. The IPS screen could be a bit brighter, I chose not to go with the OLED because I have static images on the screen for hours at a time and didn't want burn-in. The Keyboard is nice, not the best laptop keyboard, but this was a sub $1000 unit and I am not typing novels on it. Overall I give it a 5 star because the value is there and the performance is great for my use. The pen works great. There are better pens and art laptops, but again, this is sub $1000. It does everything I need when I am away from my main studio machine, which by the way is also an HP. The question everyone asks: Can you game on it? Probably but since it doesn't have a dedicated GPU, why would I beyond simple games. Photoshop doesn't tax the GPU, it hammers the CPU and memory. For my use, go with as much CPU and RAM as I want to spend and all is good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Adam Homola from Wonderful piece of hardware, but... Overal quality of the product is good. The part of the display close to hinge cracks when bending (probably glue doesn't hold properly). The product was delivered with 4 months warranty only, contacted support, they extended the warranty to 1 year, but the change is not visible at the website so, I contacted them again... I'm amazed by the performance of AMD processor. The OLED display looks nice. Battery holds surprisingly long. I'm having an issue with the graphic driver; due to this fact the display sometimes randomly flickers. Small issues, but I would buy this laptop again. I love this product despite the crappy customer service...
