Pavilion vs Victus
needed a new laptop due to windows update old computer was a pavilion and short on RAM it was brought online at HP website with the help of online assistant. Pavilion was perfect, traveled great worked as a desk top without problems when i was tied to the office. it was set up for my auto cad and other engineering programs. Went back to HP after a long look at other laptops, ended up with a HP Victus model increased my RAM upgraded processor stayed within my budget, down side to small of a keyboard its cramped but maybe i just need to get used to it. Was told by the online assistant pavilion didn't make what i needed any more and a gaming computer would be faster all in all when I'm in the office and using it as a desktop its a good system when I'm out in the field its a pain it the butt.

A fast laptop with good storage.I have had no problems performance wise gaming or doing anything else and the hinges are holding up very well.

Excellent value gaming machine for those who don't need 4K and top of the line frame rates
Very good value so far. Only downside is not being able to leave it plugged in. It won't accept a top charge level, even though HP has a BIOS setting for that, it doesn't apply to this machine. Otherwise - so far, great quality and value. Plays what I want to play, such as RDR and RDR2 and higher settings with good graphics and frame rates.

Does this laptop keyboard have backlighting? I work a lot at night and would love to be able to see which keys I’m using!
