The reason I needed a new laptop was that the battery in my old one was bad and HP didn’t have a replacement. Also, I purchased a software package to transfer files from my old laptop to my new one - it did the transfer OK but when I try to open any transfer document, I get an error message stating that the file can not be opening. Good thing I had a backup of my files.

Thank you for your question. The HP Laptop 15-dw4047nr does have 1 USB-C and 2 USB-A ports. It however does not have a CD/DVD drive.
