HP LASER PRINTERS BUILT FOR YOUR BUSINESS AND HOME PRINTING NEEDS
Synonymous with legendary quality and reliable printing for more than 30 years, HP LaserJet printers have not only set a high bar, they continue to raise it again and again. Today, HP’s color laser printers and laser multifunction printers continue to help power businesses around the globe with the printing speed, performance, and reliability that customers expect from HP®.
HP laser printers are constructed to exceed your expectations and improve your daily life. From printing out handouts for a client presentation to pamphlets espousing your company’s offerings, the quality of your print jobs matter.
Say goodbye to printer jams, flawed printouts, and a printer queue freezing from an influx of print jobs. It’s time to upgrade to a machine in tune with your fast-paced lifestyle.
WHAT IS A LASER PRINTER?
The very first laser printers that hit the market were actually jerry-rigged photocopiers, but today’s machines are sophisticated pieces of technology. Laser printers work by leveraging the power of static electricity. They’re typically faster than inkjet printers and can recreate precise lines and detailed fonts accurately. If you mostly print text, you should consider investing in a laser printer from HP.
HOW DOES A LASER PRINTER WORK?
Curious about why laser printers deliver a superior printing experience for users? Here’s a quick explanation of what happens when your print file from your computer gets sent to a laser printer and transforms into a physical printout in your hand.
Step one: Data is transferred from your PC to your printer.
Step two: A small electronic circuit located in the laser printer interprets the data to determine the forms of the printed text or lines.
Step three: The electronic circuit engages a high-voltage wire, called the corona wire, which then transmits a static charge to anything around it.
Step four: A photoreceptor drum is charged by the corona wire.
Step five: At the same time the photoreceptor drum is charged, the laser inside the printer is activated by the circuit. The laser outlines the text or lines of the document or photo onto the drum. Wherever the laser shines on the drum, it replaces positive charges with negative charges. The parts of the paper without any text or images have a positive charge, and where there are text or lines, a negative charge.
Step six: The ink roller covers the photoreceptor drum with positively-charged powdered ink called toner. Since the toner has a positive charge, it’s attracted to the photoreceptor’s negatively-charged parts. Text or images are formed on the drum using opposite charges.
Step seven: Positively charged paper is fed into the printer toward the drum.
Step eight: The positive charge of the paper is attracted to the negative toner particles. The inked lines are then placed on the paper very lightly.
Step nine: The paper passes through a fuser unit to permanently adhere the toner to the paper.
Step ten: Your laser-printed printout emerges.

And, with automatic two-sided printing, paper waste can be cut by as much as 50%. Not only can this help your bottom line, but it’s a green decision that’ll ultimately also help the planet.
Additionally, the built-in gigabit Ethernet connectivity means your important print jobs arrive at the print queue quickly. All models of this printer fleet also feature core configuration, security protocols, and monitoring tools that can be managed by HP Web Jetadmin software.
HP Web Jetadmin isn’t just any software. It allows managers to fine-tuned control over their printer fleet. You can configure settings for cost-saving like automatic two-sided printing and choosing who has access to pricier color printing.
You can also set up rules for determining who can access controls. On one easy-to-use screen, administrators can monitor printer alerts, printer groups, printer configuration, print job status, and troubleshooting.
