The HP DesignJet T230 shipped with "starter cartridges." That being said, I anticipate that this cartridge will give comparable performance. It is to HP's credit that the Black 712 has more capacity than the color cartridges since my practice prints principally black line prints with this printer. My former HP DesignJet 111 was conservative in its consumption of ink; thus far it appears the HP DesignJet T230 will follow suit.

Original HP product, well built with a sturdy design. Fits precisely on the bottom of the printer and works as expected.

The cartridge was easily installed and the ink quality was high. HP also provided a returned label for recycling the old cartridge.

Easy ordering, price for this particular cartridge was slightly less than others and it arrived very quickly with a retun envelope to recylce the old cartridge. Your only option is not a big box store.
