HP Rewards Program Terms and Conditions

PLEASE READ THESE HP REWARDS PROGRAM TERMS AND CONDITIONS ("TERMS") CAREFULLY. BY PARTICIPATING IN THIS HP REWARDS PROGRAM ("PROGRAM"), YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS AND ALL TERMS INCORPORATED BY REFERENCE.
General Information
This Program is offered by HP Inc. ("HP") and is valid in the United States only. Participation and benefits shall be considered void where prohibited by law. Taxes may apply where required by law.
HP assumes no liability for any user's participation that contravenes the laws or regulations of his or her state. Your participation is subject to present and future Program rules. Your participation is valid only at hp.com and rewards may only be earned by making Qualifying Purchases. Rewards may be subsequently redeemed on Qualifying Products. By participating in this Program, you agree to receive email communications that may contain important information about your account or membership.
Eligibility
This Program is open to individuals who are at least 18 years old, have a valid account with HP Store, and meet one of the following criteria:
- A Consumer, defined as an individual purchasing products for personal or household use through the HP.com General Store; or
- An authorized representative of a Small Business purchasing through the HP.com General Store, purchasing for internal use only and expressly approved by HP.
- For purposes of this Program:
- The HP.com General Store refers to a regular, registered account which is not part of a "private store" or special discount program such as "Frontline Heroes", "HP Education Store", or an employer's Employee Purchase Program.
- A Small Business is an independently owned and operated corporation, partnership, LLC or sole proprietorship with fewer than 250 employees.
Ineligible Participants
The following are not eligible to participate in this Program:
- HP employees, HP Authorized Partners, suppliers and their respective employees.
- Any purchase made for further commercialization, including but not limited to resale activity is prohibited.
- Public Sector customers.
- Customers that are enrolled, and/or participate, in any other HP discount program. Discount programs include, but are not limited to:
- Employee Purchase Program (EPP).
- HP Employee Purchase program (HPEPP).
- Private Stores (such as Frontline Heroes and HP Education).
- Amazon, eBay, Walmart or other marketplace programs.
Enrollment
Enrollment in the Program is free. To become a Program member ("Member"), you must open an HP Rewards account by:
- Registering online through HP.com Store; or
- Contacting an HP Store Call Center agent and providing your name and email address.
Earning Points
Only Members can earn Program points ("Points"). Members earn Points on Qualifying Purchases made on HP.com General Store or ordered by phone by calling a Call Center agent. Points cannot be earned for purchases made prior to becoming a Member. Members must be signed in to HP.com Store or verify their Member account information while contacting a Call Center agent to earn Points on Qualifying Purchases.
Members earn 100 points by registering with HP Rewards.
Qualifying Purchases
"Qualifying Purchases" are defined as purchases of products from the following categories (to easily find qualifying products, look for the HP Rewards star on the product description page):
- Select Printers;
- Business PCs (Elite, Pro and Workstation brands);
- HPE Servers;
- Select Monitors, Accessories & Care Packs;
- Select Ink, Toner & Paper.
Exclusions
Points are not earned on:
- HP.com Store gift card purchases;
- Free gift promotions;
- Taxes, state or regulatory fees;
- Shipping or delivery charges;
- Discounts or promotional credits;
- Redemption of Points or gift cards;
- Any other excluded fees or charges.
Points Calculation
Points are calculated based on total purchase price after discounts and Point redemptions, and before taxes, shipping and other fees. The amount is then rounded to the nearest whole Point. For example, a sales total of $299.99 before taxes will be reflected as 300 points.
Points Availability and Expiration
Points typically post to a Member's account as Pending Points within approximately 36 calendar days after the order ships. Once available, Points are valid for 180 days.
Points expire immediately if a Member opts out of the Program.
HP is not responsible for unclaimed or expired Points.
For example:
Product purchase date: January 1, YYYY.
- Points are placed in "Pending" status for approximately 36 days.
- Points move from "Pending" to "Available" status on February 6, YYYY.
- Un-used points expire on August 5, YYYY.
Adjustments, Returns and Cancellations
HP may adjust or remove Points that were issued in error or obtained through fraud.
Returns: Points earned on subsequently returned purchases will be deducted from the Member's balance. If the deduction results in a negative balance, future Points will be applied until the balance reaches zero.
Cancelled Orders: Points associated with canceled orders will be deducted from the Pending Points balance.
Rewards & Returns: If a Qualifying Product purchased using Points is returned, the redeemed Points will be reissued to the Member.
Accounts
HP may, at its sole discretion, merge multiple accounts. Duplicate registration Points will be removed. A Member may earn no more than 100 registration Points in total.
Members may view their Points balance by logging into their HP.com Store account.
Points Redemption
Points can be redeemed towards the purchase of any Qualifying Product at the HP Store or by calling a Call Center agent on or before the expiration date.
Points:
- Have no cash value;
- Cannot be exchanged for money, credit, or gift cards;
- Cannot be transferred, donated, or shared with another account.
Partial redemptions may be permitted at HP's discretion. The value of Points redeemed must be less than the purchase price of the Qualifying Product, excluding taxes, shipping, and fees.
HP reserves the right to restrict Point redemption for certain products or promotions.
Promotional Offers
For Ink and Toner purchases, Points may not be combined with:
- HP.com Store coupons;
- HP.com Store discounts; or
- Non-HP promotional offers.
Privacy
HP respects customer privacy. Please review HP's Privacy Statement to learn how information is collected, used, and protected.
Opt-Out and Termination
Members may opt out of the Program at any time by contacting an HP Store Call Center agent. Upon opt-out, all accrued Points and Program benefits are immediately forfeited.
HP may suspend or terminate participation at any time, for any reason or no reason, with immediate forfeiture of all Points and benefits.
Program Changes
HP may amend or terminate the Program at any time without notice, including changes affecting:
- Points earned after the change; or
- The value of already accumulated Points.
Notice may be provided by email, message, or posting on the HP.com Store website.
Account Security
Members are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials. HP is not liable for unauthorized use of a Member's account or Points.
RELEASE, INDEMNIFICATION, AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
BY PARTICIPATING IN THE PROGRAM, EACH MEMBER HEREBY RELEASES AND AGREES TO INDEMNIFY, DEFEND, AND HOLD HARMLESS HP, ITS AFFILIATES, SUBSIDIARIES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND REPRESENTATIVES (COLLECTIVELY, "HP PARTIES"), FOR ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, DAMAGES, LOSSES, LIABILITIES AND CAUSES OF ACTION (INCLUDING EXPENSES AND ATTORNEYS' FEES) INCURRED ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO MEMBER'S BREACH OR ALLEGED BREACH OF THESE TERMS, OR ACTIONS TAKEN BY MEMBER AND/OR MEMBER'S PARTICIPATION IN THE PROGRAM. MEMBER AGREES TO COOPERATE AS FULLY AS REASONABLY REQUIRED IN THE DEFENSE OF ANY CLAIM. HP RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ASSUME THE EXCLUSIVE DEFENSE AND CONTROL OF ANY MATTER OTHERWISE SUBJECT TO INDEMNIFICATION BY MEMBER.
ALL CAUSES OF ACTION ARISING OUT OF OR CONNECTED WITH THE PROGRAM SHALL BE RESOLVED INDIVIDUALLY, WITHOUT RESORT TO ANY FORM OF CLASS ACTION.
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HP PARTIES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL OR ANY OTHER DAMAGES, EVEN IF REASONABLY FORESEEABLE, OTHER THAN FOR DIRECT ACTUAL OUT-OF-POCKET EXPENSES SUBJECT TO THE LIMITATION OF LIABILITY SET FORTH IN BELOW.
IN NO EVENT WILL HP PARTIES' CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO ANY MEMBER EXCEED $100 USD.
HP IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST, STOLEN, OR EXPIRED POINTS. THE PROGRAM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the State of California.
