Rated 4 out of 5 by R.May from Need additional USB C port Everything is as expected with this computer. Fast performance, plenty of RAM memory. My only complaint is that Power cord occupies 1 of the 2 USB C ports. I use a docking station that connects with the only available USB C port. There are 2 USB 2.0 Ports, but all new devices are USB C. 1 USB 2.0 port would be sufficient to accommodate a dongle for an external keyboard and mouse.

Tried calling but no answer from support on hold over an hour. Tried online chat but could not get response there either. Definitely will never buy HP products again because both the product and product support are worthless.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Kingdon from HP has best support and manuals Bought new laptop to meet the needs of Turbo Tax. Received an email stating that their 2025 version will only work with Windows 11. The Hp Probook that I had for over 10 years was not capable of this upgrade. I was so happy with the previous laptop that I would only purchase another Probook. I’ve be an IT Technician for 25 years and I have always preferred working on HP products including printers. When need to refer to manuals, I can always rely on the manuals being 100% accurate. Most people know that this is hardly ever the case. But with HP it is always the case. One thing I was reluctant about is that HP has liked putting their software on every pc they sell. I was expecting to remove a bunch of unwanted programs. This was not the case here. I only removed one program that I wouldn’t need and I appreciated not having HP impose their software on me. I use this laptop to connect to network equipment at numerous venues as I am a freelance IT technician. I would have given the laptop five stars but there was a bug that I needed to fix. When I connected to a network the Ethernet port would assign two gateways. One would be 0.0.0.0 and the other would be actual gateway. After a little research I found that a winsock refresh fixed the issue. That was just a simple command I needed to run and was fixed with ease. At least it was easy for a 25 year experienced tech. Also there was an issue with a a camera driver that required to simply run a program. These two issues could possibly cause a non technical person a lot of headache. At least until they contacted HP. Seems to me that these two issues could be resolved prior to shipping out the pc. One more thing is that the laptop would turn on when the lid was opened. This is a setting in the BIOS and not something an end user should be messing with. But to stop this one has to enter into the BIOS. Other than these minor things I believe I will have the laptop forced years like the last one. The camera has remarkable clarity and the speed is very fast. Definitely would recommend HP and I always do when I’m asked. Hp has the best support and manuals of all companies of equipment that I’ve ever worked on.

The speakers are decent, though not exceptional—an upgrade in sound clarity and volume would enhance media use. Lastly, the screen is good, but slightly better brightness and color accuracy would make it even more enjoyable. 🧰 My Setup Experience Setting up the HP ProBook 4 G1i 16 was quick and straightforward. Windows booted up fast, updates installed without any issues, and getting my apps and preferences in place was smooth. I appreciated that everything felt ready to go right out of the box, with no unnecessary complications or bloat slowing things down. 💼 How I Use It in My Daily Life This laptop has become part of my daily routine. I use it for work tasks, online meetings, emails, and general productivity. Outside of work, it's great for browsing the web, watching videos, and managing personal projects. It’s been a dependable device that fits easily into both my professional and personal workflow.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous from Computer OK service needs a lot of help Computer is OK. Service and getting warrany service is extremely difficult to get taken care of. Have spent hours trying to get something returned. They pass you around at least 3-4 people and even accidently drop your calls sometimes. Luckily out of the 100+ computers I have purchased, only about 5 or 6 have had issues.
