Pros- sleek, beautiful, keyboard is nice under my fingers, screen looks great, the touch screen is nice, sound is good, web came is great, Cons- battery life sucks, I am in school all day and have to charge after two classes, i left my lap top in my padded back pack in my truck when it got really cold one night and screen cracked all over its pretty heavy, can turn it over and use it as a tablet but it is so large it is hard to carry around or use like that

The thing literally broke within a year and a half won’t even turn on and I’ve barely ever used it. Extremely disappointed because I spent a lot of money on it. This is the second HP laptop that I’ve had issues with, will no longer be buying this brand. Buy if you like wasting your money

The only issue I’ve had is once, a couple weeks after getting it, it froze up and I had to do a hard reboot. Not sure if this was because I wasn’t turning it all the way off often enough or what, but nonissues since!

You also make it absurdly difficult to find a human in the correct department to assist and then to finally process a return. The only good comment is you did take your lemon as a return - for which I am thankful.

I tried all the things HP support has told me to and still nothing. Just save up a little bit more money and buy an Ipad.

I had the Microsoft Student and Home version pre installed which allowed me to begin using the laptop right away. The set up was very easy to do. The speed at which it boots up and functions is really great.

I wanted to transfer my old information from my old computer to my new one but I can't seem to put my new lab top down. The was the best decision I've made and this was my one Christmas gift for myself for 2021 going into 2022. No regrets!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Sunny23 from Not the quality I expected from HP I have had several HP's and this one is not in the same ballpark as my other ones, although it costs almost double what the others did when I bought them in the store. Due to Covid, I special ordered this one online. It was supposed to be the top of the line. The pencil is left dangling on the side by a USB. I thought it would be like the mac book pro and have a magnet or at least some slide in feature. But no, this looks and feels 1980's cheap dangling on the side of my laptop. Surely HP design could have done better and could have copied Apple as the ipad pro has had this for at least 1.5 years. The trackpad is not responsive, and I still have not gotten used to it. As for the internals, it is slow and my browsers (different ones, including Duck Duck Go) have issues from time to time and say "non-responsive" and shut down. Finally, customer service hours could be extended. By the time, I get my kids to bed and clean up my kitchen at 9 pm, customer service is closed. I've been trying to report these issues for months. HP should extend the hours or provide an email to allow you to get help. I paid for the extra warranty and the HP representative tonight couldn't see it and wanted to charge me for repairs. I really can't recommend this computer and wish I could swap it out. Disappointed. HP USED TO BE GOOD!

It runs well, the look and feel of it is slim and sleek, and it's performance has been great for light gaming or somewhat heavy multitasking. One major downside is the battery life, it's not as bad as my previous laptop but it's still not great. I also hate how the battery still goes down when I close the laptop, usually closing laptops would put the device in a sleep-like state. For this, I would have to put the device to sleep through the power options before closing it. Another downside is that the fans sometimes go into full power mode from small tasks which isn't too bad it doesn't happen frequently enough to get annoying. All in all I still really like it. It could be because my previous device was such trash that anything is an upgrade, but this is probably one of the few high cost purchases that I don't regret making.

It is durable, beautiful made and the quality is impeccable. I have had my desktop for nearly 10 years and the performance operates just like it was brand new. I recently purchased the ENVY laptop and I know it will give me the same years of performance and dependability as my desk top.

I think the model is great - slim, lightweight, good sound and images, quick response time with multiple internet and Microsoft programs open, and it has the numeric keypad. Downsides, I miss the CTRL button on the right (replaced with a fingerprint sensor) since I use CTRL + Enter to toggle windows and I don’t use the sensor at all. Also, and this might be just my laptop not the model… It has so much more trouble keeping the WiFi connection in my house than my last computer or than the other computers in the house. Maybe I need to update a driver or something.

The fingerprint reader works about 50% of the time which can get extremely annoying 2. When in tablet mode, if it goes to sleep, there is no way to wake it up without first flipping it back into laptop mode (it disables all of the keys and physical buttons in tablet mode) 3. Probably the most annoying feature is that the rubber feet on it are 2 very long strips on the bottom that stretch out and come unglued over a relatively short period of time. I've already had to replace both of them

Rated 3 out of 5 by Dragnet from A good laptop, but not perfect. Good specs for the price, but it does have some issues. The OLED screen arrived with several lines of text permanently burned in. This is a disappointment since the screen was what sold me on the laptop over other alternatives. The touchpad is also mounted a little askew, and the hinge is slightly crooked. It's not as solidly built as the Spectre it's meant to replace, but considering the lower cost, that's to be expected.

When combined with a cutting edge 15-inch 4K screen, 16GB RAM, 32G Intel Optane Memory on a 512GB SSD, a low 28W TDP and Windows 11 it checked all my boxes for what I looked for in a pc. The computer is very fast and with its low TDP rating the fans are rarely heard from, again, checking both of my boxes for what I look for in a pc. Thank you, HP, for designing and building such an impressive leading-edge pc.

I never realized how much I use the right Ctrl key until now. I use it ALL THE TIME. So now I'm miserable trying to use the left Ctrl key for cut/copy/paste/undo, select all, bold/italic/underline, find/replace, go-to-line, etc. I don't think I'll ever use the fingerprint reader that replaced the right Ctrl key. <sad face>

You have to charge the laptop in less than 1.5h(90min) if downloading files or watching video with wifi in the screen brightness of ~40% #I believe the fan is noise. Louder than my all in one computer. When the cpu is being use for a while and maybe high usage of ram? (not sure) you can hear the fan star working. Beyond that. The laptop is going good so far...

It appears to be 5 or 7 pitch which is minuscule and very hard to read. I am tempted to send it back if it weren't for the fact another HP laptop would have the same issue. So far, customer service sucks as I can't seem to get in touch with a person to help me with the challenges. I also bought a new HP Pavilion desktop and am having the exact same issues. I have been a loyal HP customer for many many years. Perhaps it's time for me to look at another brand that is more customer focused.

Hinge broke in under a year. Don&rsquo;t buy. Why would you make such a flimsy hinge?

I had the same problem. Right hinge broke causing the screen to separate. Repaired and now the left hinge has the same issue. Very disappointing. I am not tough on my laptops and this is the first to ever have this type of issue. I have had multiple HP laptops (as well as desktop PCs and printers) and also DELL laptops and desktops. This issue has made me reconsider going back to DELL.

Does this laptop come with a pen? Also, how can one protect the keyboard when in tablet mode?

Hello Beth and thank you for your question! This HP ENVY x360 Convertible Laptop - 15t-ed100 does come with an HP Rechargeable MPP2.0 Tilt Pen (Natural Silver). As far as the keyboard protection, this HP Envy does come with the island-style keyboard, which means the keys do not protrude out further than anything else in the frame and should be fine.
