Durability review. BUYER BE AWARE
My pavilion was inside a hard case inside my backpack. it had fallen out of the car in a 2 foot drop. when i check my computer i had seen my whole frame had shifted. The durability sucks, and there are way better computers cheaper than this that are stronger than this computer. Keep in mind i bought the care package warranty and with that you get one free accidental fix per year and if you try to fix it they will give a price range varying so much that its better off buying a better and stronger compute. its good laptop to keep at the desk all day everyday. but if you are planning on taking it everywhere. BUYER BE AWARE.

Quality does exist
The HP Pavilion Plus Laptop has been a great replacement for the Dell Latitude that fell apart due to poor mechanics on the hinges that hold the screen to the shell. The quality of workmanship is refreshing. The metallic case is very durable, and as a side note was easy to clean up when my wife decided to shake a yogurt drink and the lid fell off and yogurt went flying everywhere, including on the laptop. Clean up was snap and no harm came to the HP Pavilion Plus. :) Would recommend anyone that is comparing this to a Dell, chose the HP you won't be dissapointed.

HP Pavilion Plus LT 16ab0010nr
no ethernet port Only capable of use Wi Fi makes it very hard to stay connected to Work network and to quickly type work docs. Sometimes when streaming it freezes which does not happen on my desktop which does have ethernet port which connects to my modem.

The form factor feels fine. I like the bright keyboard and backlight keys. The power cord is to rigid. I like to hold the HP in my lap plugged in. I need to find a flexible power cord. I have tried to make the screen appearance of this W11 machine look like my W10. I struggle with the W11 setup. Far more complex than W10. Why did they have to change. The most disturbing is resolution and or font size. Weather it's the hardware or OS, I don't know. Enlarge the font in one application and it's to large to read in another. The message box is squint size to small and I CANNOT FIX IT. I don't know if there is a conflict between the higher resolution LT and the OS. I had to disconnect my iphone from phone link to get the microphone to work on the laptop. Thay was one feature in W11 I was looking forward to using.

Good deal for the price
All in all a serviceable laptop. Speedy and nothing has crashed yet. Also very durable, as I learned when my dog ran through the power cord and the laptop crashed from the table onto a hard tile floor with no damage. Knocked a star off for these reasons: Power key is buried amongst the F keys and is very hard to find in a dim or dark room; they went too far with making the screen anti-reflective resulting in a dulled appearance; should have a magnetic power cord (laptop would not have flown off the table!) not a plug-in cord

There is a mouse of control pad below the keyboard. Can this be locked out? My issue is that if you are typing you must hold the palm of your hand above the pad while typing.
Right-click the Start button on the taskbar
Select Settings
Select Bluetooth & devices
Scroll down and select Touchpad
Select the Touchpad toggle to turn it off

The HP Pavilion Plus Laptop 16-ab0010nr has an upgradeable SSD drive. The RAM is onboard and cannot be upgraded. HP recommends upgrades be performed by IT professionals or self-maintainers only.

How to secure screen without HELLO so 2 users can use same account .
To set a password on a Windows 11 PC, you can do the following:
Right-click the Start button
Select Settings
Select Accounts
Scroll down and select Sign-in options
Select Password
Select Add
Enter your new password twice
Enter a password hint
Select Next
Select Finish
You can also create a password by doing the following:
Open the Control Panel
Select User Accounts
Select Make changes to my account in PC settings
Select Sign-in options
Select Add under the Password area
If you have a Microsoft account, you can change your password by going to microsoft.com. If you forgot your password, you can reset your Microsoft account password or answer security questions.
