How to Recycle Toner Cartridges Responsibly

recycle

You can recycle Original HP LaserJet toner and ink cartridges in Thailand for free through our HP Planet Partners programme. If you have 10 or more toner cartridges or 20 or more ink cartridges, book a free pickup from your home or office. For smaller quantities, contact our recycling team. We accept Original HP cartridges and Samsung toner cartridges, but not refilled, compatible or other-brand cartridges.

Why Toner Cartridges Need Their Own Recycling Route

Toner cartridges combine plastic, metal and leftover toner powder, so general commercial recycling doesn’t handle them well. That’s why we run a dedicated return programme for Original HP cartridges. [1]

We combine the cartridges returned through HP Planet Partners with other plastics to make new Original HP cartridges and other everyday products. [1] [SI&C: approved, current wording and footnote for HP closed-loop cartridge recycling in Thailand, including any recycled-content figure]

How to Recycle HP Toner Cartridges in Thailand

Option 1: Book a free pickup for 10 or more cartridges

If your home or office has collected 10 or more Original HP toner cartridges, or 20 or more Original HP ink cartridges, we’ll collect them for free. [1]

  1. Go to the HP Thailand supplies recycling page and select the option to schedule a pickup.
  2. Enter your address and the number of cartridges you’re returning.
  3. Pack the cartridges in an HP recycling bag, box or bin.
  4. Hand them over to our logistics partner on the pickup date.

Option 2: Contact us for smaller quantities

If you have fewer cartridges, email our Asia Pacific recycling team at apj.hprecycle@hp.com to ask about the best return option for you. You can also save your empties until you reach the pickup minimum.

How to pack your empties

  • Put each cartridge back in its original box or bag if you still have it
  • Don’t tape loose toner cartridges together, as they can leak
  • Keep ink and toner cartridges separate if you’re sending both

Not sure which you have? The box will say whether it’s an ink cartridge or a LaserJet toner cartridge. Ink cartridges are usually small and squarish, while LaserJet toner cartridges are much longer. [1]
