John and Sandra Pickering, the founders of Sussex Beds purchased a small general furnishing business located in St Leonards in 1978. Following a visit to a trade show in the summer of 1981, they were inspired to open a brand new store specialising in Beds and Mattresses. In the years since, Sussex Beds has expanded and currently operates from 15 branches across Sussex, Kent & Surrey. Each store differs in character but all offer the same great products & services. Sussex Beds started off with two HP DesignJet Z6600 printers, mainly for poster work, due to their monthly changing promotion campaigns for each of their stores. Developing on from that, they recently purchased the HP Latex 800W. The great thing about that is the white ink feature, which was a real game changer for Sussex Beds. Since investing in the Latex 800W, the family business has been able to improve their cost savings and strengthen their efficiency and production. The business is now planning to expand its creative printing scope to floor coverings and vehicle design graphics to market and advertise its offerings.
